Cons

Cons
it is still not that easy for teachers to share content with one another or to organize it in the same way as the original course owner.

“Game-changing open-source plugins”
Pros
The open-source plugins are a real game-changer. They take some effort for our admins to set up but they make the classroom experience much smoother and more engaging when everything is running.
Cons
Configuring all the features can be very time-consuming and overwhelming. There are also small bugs that can cause a feature we spent time setting up to not work properly.

This is a pretty easy LMS to use for online learning. It comes with user-friendly tools that make creating lessons, grading, assigning tasks and setting up groups a simple process.
Cons
While it offers many ways to structure lessons, it still lags behind platforms like Canvas. Students cannot easily track their progress or bookmark where they left off. It also has technical bugs for self-hosted versions and upgrading can risk losing our data.

I appreciate Moodle's selection of pre-designed course layouts. They make it simple for us to keep everything looking consistent and well-organized and that makes the content much clearer for everyone.
Cons
Adding multimedia to course pages was more difficult than it should have been. I had consistent problems embedding instructional videos and the process was not very user-friendly.
