“Beware! Stay away from it
Pros
Not much to like. The positive feedback after getting questions right is nice and so is having practice problems.
Cons
Where do I even begin? I'm stuck using this for my math course after being forced to pay $90 for six months, would've preferred a cheaper option that actually fits a 15-week semester, but the only alternative was three months which wouldn't cover the full term. Wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't required. The platform is riddled with simple bugs and gateway errors, plus the question design is absolutely terrible. Every problem feels unnecessary somehow. Some are way too easy, just covering the most basic parts, which I get as fundamentals come first. That was just annoying though. But the rest? Unnecessarily difficult, not conceptually but structurally. Decimals where there's no need for them, changes to problem structure that add pointless obstacles. These don't help me understand the material better, they just waste my time. Earlier this semester, I spent an hour and a half on one problem only for the program to crash. There were seven similar problems in that assignment and I just gave up. Instead of using the service I'm paying $90 for, I looked up free practice problems that actually taught concepts without unnecessary complications. Can I handle the extra steps? Sure! They were covered in previous courses. Can I work with ridiculous fractions and annoying numbers? Of course! But how does slogging through these problems benefit me when I'm just trying to learn concepts? This actually incentivizes cheating . Why bother with an hour and a half of poorly designed problems when you could use Photomath and learn from practice problems elsewhere? Photomath would probably teach concepts better anyway. The grading makes everything worse. You get limited attempts per question (unless your instructor says otherwise). Each unnecessary step and convoluted number increases your chances of simple mistakes. You might understand the concept perfectly which should be the goal. These mistakes happen at any math level, but more convoluted problems mean more opportunity for human error. The platform increases error risk while simultaneously punishing it, which can't be the basis for a $90 temporary subscription. My experience has been awful. If your considering this for education, don't. If you're a poor student forced to use it like me, use the free two-week trial, cheat for grades, and learn concepts yourself. Free practice problems are more effective than what Pearson charges $90 for.

“Problems syncing gradebook with LMS
Pros
In my opinion, this platform works alright for managing student groups under 1000. The training modules are solid, and the international assessments give students valuable exposure to global standards. There are a variety of assessment options available for each learning objective, it gives students plenty of practice opportunities. Once you get the hang of it, it gets simpler.
Cons
I have to constantly reach out to support for help because the gradebook doesn't sync smoothly with our LMS most of the time. When dealing with really big cohorts, they get split across multiple gradebooks and become a nightmare to manage properly.

“Absolutely despise this platform
Pros
The training videos feel outdated and have the 80s feel. Aren't very helpful or consistent. Seems like it's mainly built to reduce teacher workload and doesn't do much for the students.
Cons
The extra cost on top of my class fees feels completely unnecessary. Beyond that, the answer input system is incredibly frustrating , it marks you wrong for being too detailed and doesn't give any partial credit even when problems have multiple parts.

“Really appreciate it!
Pros
Really helpful for going back and working through homework problems again when I mess up. Shows me exactly where I went wrong and how to fix it. Plus I can reach out to my instructor if I'm stuck on specific questions.
Cons
Its interface works well enough, though I wouldn't call it anything special.

“Poor Programming and Misleading Questions
Pros
I guess it's paperless, which is something? Honestly can't think of much else positive to say.
Cons
The help feature often gives answers that dont match what I'm actually asking about. Some issues need completely different approaches or just can't be fixed with their suggested methods.

“Worst than a poor math teacher
Pros
There is nothing good about it to be honest. I should mention though that I've finished almost three chapters with an A grade. I've also been working with math professionally as a CNC machinist for nearly 13 years. Even though I scored high enough for the advanced class, I chose to start at the intermediate level instead.
Cons
Training videos barely scratch the surface, they cover maybe 10% of what you'll actually need for assignments. The study materials have terrible instructions that leave you completely lost. For what colleges are charging, this is absolutely unacceptable. You'd honestly learn more from free Khan Academy videos. The "help me solve this" feature is a joke as it skips crucial steps assuming you already know them. When your paying over $100 on top of tuition, you deserve complete explanations for every single step, not this half-baked content that sets students up to fail.

“Perfect for teaching learning collaboration
Pros
I love how students and teachers can access this from any device. Its very flexible. The practice exercises feel dynamic and really immersive, giving learners genuine exposure to English in a natural way.
Cons
Takes way too long to get help when students mess up their code and need troubleshooting from tech support. Students expect quicker solutions, but the whole process is really time-consuming for everyone involved.

“Great simulations mirroring real world scenarios
Pros
The simulations are really well done. Students pick up so much from them since they mirror actual real-world scenarios.
Cons
I find the test bank questions to be pretty shallow at times. Like with ratio problems, you'll get the answer but no explanation of what it actually means. I think students really need to dig deeper into these concepts to truly understand them.

“Horrible Experience with Support
Pros
I honestly can't find anything positive about this system. It just doesn't bring any value.
Cons
The access code from my previous course expired just 3 days before my current class ended, even though it was the same textbook. Tech support was completely useless. They just repeated what I could already see on screen and said there was nothing they could do. Terrible company that doesn't care about students.

“Good tool but has room for improvement
Pros
Appreciate having all my assignments centralized in one spot, and the instant grading with feedback is amazing.
Cons
The system can be really finicky about how you enter responses. Even small formatting differences seem to cause issues.

“Disappointed with this poor software
Pros
Not a lot that I can mention here. A simple online search reveals it's widely disliked by both educators and learners everywhere.
Cons
I think the interface is absolutely awful. It's very slow and everything lags constantly. What really gets me though is the whole business model and culture around this. As a student, we're basically forced to shell out over $100 for access codes just to complete our assignments. Most of the time we dont even need the actual textbook, but we still have to pay these ridiculous fees. The monopoly that companies like this have over education really needs to change.

“Terrible service that pretends to care
Pros
I can work through practice problems, though even that feature isn't great
Cons
You need a lot of time to solve problems and the instructions aren't clear at all. Plus, many of their own answer keys are incorrect which is frustrating when you get penalized for their mistakes.
