Portable software

Pros

Great how portable it is. I can watch courses on my phone, Roku, tablet or computer which makes it really convenient to use wherever I am. It's also a big plus that I can download content ahead of time when I know I won't have internet access later.

Cons

I honestly can't think of any downsides. I really love the product.

Recommends the right courses

Pros

There are courses for pretty much every tech topic someone might want to explore. It also lets you compare your skill level with others in certain areas and points out knowledge gaps, along with recommending the right courses or modules to help improve them.

Cons

At this point, I haven't run into any drawbacks.

Different course levels

Pros

The instructors are really knowledgeable and it's nice being able to pick courses at the Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced level.

Cons

a feature to add bookmarks in the middle of a video is missing which platforms like Udemy already offer.

So much content available

Pros

Every morning, I set aside an hour to watch courses on this platform and I've kept that routine going for years. For the topics I care most about, IT, cloud software and DevOps, the course quality has been first class. I also regularly use the IT IQ assessments across about 30 different areas to check my skills and figure out where I need to spend more time. The course catalog is enormous. Honestly, there's so much content available that you could spend a lifetime on it and still not get through everything.

Cons

iPhone app keeps asking me to sign in again. Because of that, I usually can't watch an offline course unless I also have an internet connection. That becomes a real problem on the train when there's no signal.

Feels simple to use

Pros

Using the website feels very simple which makes it easy to find courses quickly and add them into a custom learning channel. The content itself is structured nicely and divided into manageable sections so it's easier to follow and learn at a comfortable pace.

Cons

Only a small number of courses gave me trouble, mainly because the presenter's audio was a bit hard to understand so I needed to turn on closed captioning. Another thing I've noticed and something that could become a real concern, is when the newest content isn't available.

Helpful download option

Pros

The download option and the learning check features are really useful.

Cons

A lot of the courses focus on beginner-level content and I'd love to see more advanced or specialized options added.

Wonderful search function

Pros

The search function works really well and the course descriptions are thorough enough to know exactly what I'm getting into. Whether I'm just exploring a topic or looking for something more in-depth, I can usually find the right title to help me reach that goal.

Cons

Mobile use still needs improvement. I've had trouble reviewing a course and sometimes even getting one started through the mobile app. Part of that could have been related to my signal but it also feels like the platform could use more optimization for mobile delivery.

Broad set of topics

Pros

It really stands out for the huge volume of content and the wide range of topics available. The web player is very user-friendly and the offline player feels polished and works really well too.

Cons

The player's keyboard shortcuts could still use some improvement.
