Slick interface and feel

Pros

Compared with platforms like Udemy and LinkedIn Learning, the interface here felt much more polished and modern. The overall look and feel was slick and that definitely made using it more enjoyable.

Cons

The content selection felt a bit limited. Other learning platforms offer a wider variety of courses which makes them more attractive overall.

Valuable technical learning hub

Pros

It is an excellent learning platform built for professionals who want to strengthen their technical abilities. The content goes into solid technical depth too and I've used it in past roles to get a better grasp of topics like REST APIs and SSO.

Cons

I honestly don't have much negative to say about it.

Offers a wide range of topics

Pros

There's a really wide selection of topics and courses available and new technology content tends to show up quickly. I also appreciate getting access to courses that are still being developed since it lets us start watching as soon as new chapters are released. The overall quality of the material is excellent and the trainers clearly know their subject matter very well.

Cons

A few areas could be better though. The library is missing some true deep-dive learning and many courses seem to top out around an intermediate level. The structure can feel a bit dull at times especially because the intro section in each chapter often drags on longer than necessary. On top of that, the course management page feels more complicated than it needs to be.

Impressive course variety

Pros

The course library is impressive, with strong learning materials, knowledgeable instructors and a wide range of courses to choose from.

One thing that could make it even better is updating the content every month to keep everything as current as possible.

Wide course range

Pros

I enjoy the huge range of courses it offers. There's a lot to choose from across many different topics so it's easy to find something useful. The interface feels very user-friendly and keeping track of your progress in whatever course you're taking is really simple.

Cons

There isn't anything in particular that I dislike. If I had to mention something, it would be that the price can feel a bit high although it ends up being worth it.

Excellent expert-led course library

Pros

There's a wide range of courses and learning content, all taught by experts in each subject. It's also very convenient that you can always pick up right where you left off in any training and the quizzes help reinforce what you've learned.

Cons

I'd really like to see more content available in languages other than English. There still aren't many courses offered in Spanish.

Created by professionals

Pros

courses are created by professionals which gives the content a lot of credibility. I also appreciate how the learning paths are structured, starting with the basics and progressing all the way to advanced topics. The platform is user-friendly and it helped us integrate it into our existing business processes without much trouble.

Cons

My only real complaint is the pricing. The subscription cost is quite high and that makes it very difficult for small businesses to afford.

Top choice for training

Pros

It has a really extensive catalog and the topics are explained clearly by experts. Our developers genuinely enjoy using it and it has become a go-to reference for technical training within the team.

Cons

The catalog search isn't my favorite and the reporting features still have room for improvement.

Pros

There's a huge selection of current, up-to-date courses on Pluralsight Skills and it really helps with building and improving professional skills.

Cons

Knowledgeable instructors

Pros

The course material is organized properly which makes the platform pleasant to use. There's also a chat box available to communicate with the trainer when needed. On top of that, the instructors who upload the online courses are highly professional and clearly knowledgeable in their fields.

Cons

It would be better if each course included an FAQ section so learners could quickly find answers to their questions while studying.

Vast technical course library

Pros

Having all of our technical training collected in one online video library has been a big advantage. My workplace has subscribed to it at different times so we could study specific topics for work but it's also been useful for exploring subjects we're personally interested in. The library feels incredibly extensive, with courses covering just about any technical area you'd want to learn. I also appreciate that there are multiple classes for different subtopics, clearly marked for beginner, intermediate or advanced learners. Since everything is recorded, it's convenient to rewatch full lessons or replay certain sections whenever needed.

Cons

I ran into a few courses where the instructor was a little difficult to follow. The recording quality itself was fine but depending on the kind of accent or dialect you're used to some instructors may not come across as completely clear.

Supports employee training

Pros

It works really well in a brick-and-mortar setting for tracking inventory and it also does a solid job supporting employee training through online assessments and CBT courses.

Cons

I honestly haven't run into any issues with it since it's widely used and tends to be accurate far more often than not.

Accessible from anywhere

Pros

The course catalog stays current with software development and other areas of technology which makes the platform really valuable. It's also convenient to use from pretty much anywhere, whether on a desktop, a mobile browser or the app. Another big plus is that the certifications are recognized and being able to link them directly to LinkedIn adds even more credibility. The certifications themselves are a strong benefit too.

Cons

it can be quite expensive. It's also frustrating that even the free trial still asks for a payment method upfront.

Covers all kinds of technologies

Pros

A huge video library covers all kinds of technologies from different sources. The courses are in English, often with subtitles and the instructors generally speak very clearly. I also appreciate the consistent audio cue at the start and end of each module which gives the platform a polished feel. The badge system is a nice motivator too since it rewards the achievements you complete. Another useful feature is the IQ test that helps measure your current level, along with the summary that points out which skills need more attention.

Cons

pricing could be a little more affordable for individuals especially beginners who are still figuring out whether programming is really the path they want to follow.

Clear learning paths

Pros

The content is excellent and I really appreciate how the courses are organized into clear learning paths. It's especially at its best when I download the videos for offline use.

Cons

Watching online can be frustrating because it tends to crash or buffer when the browser or connection is weak. The pricing also feels like it could be lower.

Fantastic depth of training

Pros

Theres a huge amount of content available. The courses follow a consistent format which makes learning feel familiar no matter what subject you jump into. I also appreciate that the training is offered at different levels so you can go deep into a topic whether you're just getting started or already have some background. The transcripts are especially useful too since there are times when reading through the material is more practical than watching the video.

Cons

Course ratings do not always match what you personally think and sometimes I end up leaving a course halfway through because it is not covering the topic in the way I expected. That said, there are usually several other courses on the same subject so it is often possible to find another option that fits better.
