Frustrating secure browser issues

Pros

Downloading and installing this tool's secure browser is quick and easy. I think it looks clean too which makes it easier for everyone to use.

Cons

Two people at my company tested the secure browser for Linguaskill and neither of us could get it to work. Even with strong tech experience, the setup required unusual system changes and things still didn't function right. My colleague couldn't find a way to activate the mic at all and I kept getting forced-closure messages for apps that weren't even running.

workflow and interface challenges

Pros

Honestly the software felt designed by people who don't fully understand recruiting workflows. For me it was really frustrating at times.

Cons

Workflow issues, the interface, system logic and certain functions could definitely run more smoothly in my opinion.

Simple internal system integration

Pros

The way this tool works with our internal systems has been a game changer. I like that posting jobs and coordinating directly with the team makes sure each role's workflow is handled properly. Thanks to this our recruitment team has been able to screen more applicants and really align the process.

Cons

In the parts of the platform I use I haven't seen any issues worth complaining about.

Remote exam convenience platform

Pros

Candidates can take all their exams in one place from wherever they are. No more taking off work or spending hours traveling to our offices. The support team is excellent, too, any time I or a candidate runs into an issue, they quickly provide solutions or feedback.

Cons

There's nothing I dislike about the software, I just haven't used everything yet. We haven't hosted interviews through the platform and I'd like to explore that. I also want to see how to view the most recent exam takers or clear out candidates who never responded to an invitation.

Responsive helpful customer support

Pros

I really appreciate the customer support, they respond quickly and actually help solve problems which makes a big difference.

Cons

The processing speed is quite slow. Whether I'm running a search or performing a basic task, it lags compared to other systems so that's something that could be improved.

scalable proctoring with support

Pros

Proctoring works well and I've been impressed with the responsive customer service. The platform scales easily as our needs grow.

Cons

Some features we were initially told about are still missing, like better screen sizing, per-question timers, more detailed reporting, fewer tech glitches and toll-free support.

Secure remote exam delivery

Pros

During the lockdown I was able to deliver exams safely. Students could take their essential exams from home and the multiple proctoring features made the process secure and manageable.

Cons

When I review proctor recordings, having to watch multiple videos feels tedious and the system sometimes becomes unstable during video checks, forcing restarts. The bandwidth needs during pre-assessment checks are also quite high.

fast reliable online tool

Pros

When the pandemic hit we needed a way for candidates to take certification exams online with remote proctoring. I looked at a bunch of different options and this tool fit both our budget and what we needed. Setting it up only took a couple of months which was super fast given we had over ten different types of assessments, each with their own rules, plus the custom reports we required. We've been using it for about a year and a half now and it's been really easy for our team. They've added new features over time, taking feedback seriously to improve the experience. Using the record-and-review feature with AI proctoring has saved us a ton of time. The system flags suspicious activity, so our team only has to check short clips occasionally. The exam interface is clean and simple so candidates can finish their assessments without confusion.

Cons

I haven't tried the exam on a tablet or phone yet though I know it didn't work well early on. They fixed that so now exams run fine on those devices. I do wish we could turn off certain checks, like sound and video, when we have a live proctor. I also wish we could generate our own metrics reports instead of asking the team though they're always quick to help. It would also be helpful to offer printed exams when needed.

efficient remote assessment solution

Pros

This tool introduced a much-needed way to handle remote exams during the pandemic. What stood out to our team was how easy it was to learn and navigate. The functionality hit the mark perfectly making sure our candidates were properly assessed. It also allowed our team at City & Guilds to work faster and more efficiently.

Cons

I haven't come across any major cons for our use case. They're really proactive about improving the software based on feedback. Anything I've reported either gets fixed quickly or is already planned for an upcoming update.

Pros

reliable tool for strong support

Pros

The software does exactly what it's supposed to, proctor our students' course sessions, without problems. What really stands out to me, though, is how they treat customers. We've always felt like partners rather than just another support ticket and that level of attention makes a big difference.

Cons

A user-facing status dashboard would be great. We've only had one downtime incident but having a clear place to check what's happening would've saved some confusion. I think this feature might show up in the future.
