Terrible platform for parents

Pros

Nothing.

Cons

As a parent, I honestly can’t believe how bad the TeacherEase platform is. In 2026, there is no excuse for a school communication and grading system to be this confusing, clunky, and unreliable. The interface feels like it was designed 15 years ago and never updated. Finding missing assignments, grades, announcements, or even basic class information is far more difficult than it should be. Important information is buried behind endless menus and inconsistent layouts, and half the time it’s unclear whether something has actually been submitted, graded, or even visible to parents. Notifications are either overwhelming or nonexistent. Parents end up finding out about major missing assignments or failing grades at the last minute because the platform does such a poor job surfacing urgent information in a clear, usable way. The mobile experience is especially terrible. It’s slow, unintuitive, and feels like a desktop website awkwardly squeezed onto a phone screen. For busy parents trying to quickly check on their child’s progress, it creates frustration instead of helping. What’s most disappointing is that schools rely on this system for critical communication between teachers, students, and families. Parents want to be involved and supportive, but platforms like TeacherEase make that harder than it needs to be. There are so many modern education platforms that are cleaner, faster, and actually designed with user experience in mind. TeacherEase feels outdated, inefficient, and completely disconnected from what parents actually need.

Simple solution with quick support

Pros

I find this platform really simple and rely on it almost daily. The customer support team responds quickly and gets things sorted efficiently. My go-to features include picture identification, class scheduling, groups and parent information access. From what administration told me, the re-integration and set up process was surprisingly smooth.

Cons

The way our database clerk originally set things up made searching pretty frustrating. When students have multiple last names entered in different formats, finding them becomes a real headache but that's more on us than the software

Average Software and Questionable Business Practices

Pros

The gradebook feature really saves this platform for me. Pretty easy to move about though there's definitely room for improvement. Would love to see a mobile app and some of the features that other gradebook systems offer. Still it gets the job done decently.

Cons

The company has serious financial integrity issues. They refused our refund request made two months before the school year started, then completely stopped responding to calls and emails once they knew we wanted our money back. When we did reach someone, they kept passing us around endlessly over a simple refund for a service we never used. We've been trying daily for a month now and they're basically stealing thousands from our school during a pandemic. The software itself has major problems too. The pricing is misleading because essential features like attendance systems and data management cost extra. Its complex and takes way too many clicks to get anywhere. Customization options are pretty limited compared to competitors. Customer service wait times average 10-15 minutes while other companies typically respond in 1-2 minutes. I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your SIS needs.

Convenient iPad Grade Management

Pros

I really appreciate being able to handle attendance and grade entry right from my iPad Pro while I'm working on lesson plans at the same time.

Cons

The scheduling system really frustrates me since there's no way to set up alternating day classes.

Learning made convenient through TeacherEase

Pros

Love having the ability handle everything from one central location. Taking attendance happens in one area while grade entry takes place in another section. Looking up individual student schedules is easy and the ability to add co-teachers to my gradebook really helps when we're working together. We can both monitor our shared students' progress. I genuinely enjoy using this program!

Cons

Would be better if the student schedule displayed in proper order. Sometimes their last class shows up first and vice versa. Other than that, everything runs smoothly though.
