“Thinking Cap LMS Review

Pros

Given our unique course distribution model and user profile, we required an LMS that was both customizable and equipped with strong learner support features. Thinking Cap LMS meets both these needs, offering a host of features and functions that we use daily. Whenever issues arise, the Thinking Cap support team has proven to be very efficient in resolving them swiftly.

Cons

As a client of Thinking Cap for 15 years, I have found that most of the issues we encountered with the LMS occurred in the early years somehow still need attention for improvements.

“Review from a consistent user

Pros

As a long-term user of the system, I know it inside and out. ThinkingCap is a robust system packed with features. The initial training was thorough and detailed. I also like how ThinkingCap brings customers together for two days to collaborate on the system's future and incorporate our ideas into their roadmap.

Cons

Speed can occasionally be an issue, whether it's uploading a file, making changes or loading a page. Support tickets can also sometimes move slowly through the system for resolution.

“Easy to manage and deliver content

Pros

This platform makes it easy to create or import content and deliver it to an unlimited number of users. Thanks to its features like user synchronization, data exports and Web Services API, the LMS integrates seamlessly with other systems.

Cons

There are many features and user guides available, but including more videos would improve its user-friendliness.

Pros

When we set out to create our online prenatal and parenting program, we needed a learning management system that could gather data from the parents enrolled in the program and offer a variety of interactive elements to keep the classes engaging. We found other systems, which were either too rigid or too costly. However, when we chose ThinkingCap it really stands out by providing a range of interactive elements that let us design captivating online learning experiences. Its learning management software offers flexibility in the appearance and delivery of our classes. It also includes diverse reporting tools to track learners' progress and gather demographic data from registration pages. Additionally, the Thinking Cap team has been exceptionally accommodating when we've encountered challenges, such as when a licensee needed specific demographic data like postal codes, gender and marital status but lacked a registration system. Thinking Cap designed a system that not only managed all registration tasks but also collected the needed demographic information through a user-friendly interface.

Cons

New users to learning management systems might find this program a bit difficult to use initially. Fortunately, Thinking Cap offers training and is supportive if any questions come up.

Pros

The User Management console is user-friendly and allows for easy switching between Admin and User modes.

Cons

Uploading the course was difficult, and the feedback on the upload was not precise.

Pros

Over the years, ThinkingCap has introduced numerous improvements and new capabilities. It's a rugged system, and we've had very satisfied clients after we started using it.

Cons

It offers a lot of features, so it is important to stay updated with the new options available to you.

“Great LMS

Pros

A highly customizable LMS that has effectively met our organization's needs. What stands out the most to me is their team. They are responsive and easy to work with. While every LMS has its bugs and challenges, having a supportive team to address these issues has been refreshing, especially compared to my previous experiences with larger systems that had many features but lacked adequate client support.

Cons

I do not have much to add for this section. So far, good experience with ThinkingCap.

Pros

ThinkingCap is robust because it has been problem free for us. It functions reliably and is both extensible and flexible. The reporting and learner searchability are strong points. I also like that they listen to customer feedback and address our needs with each new release.

Cons

I am eagerly awaiting for the next release because I am confident it will offer improvements.
