“User friendly platform

Pros

I found lots of examples that helped me understand things better. The library and detailed explanations for every section were super helpful. The platform is fairly simple to use even for beginners and the tutorials are great. I love everything about it!

Cons

I think some examples can be made part of the tutorials. I did find examples that were close to what I wanted to do but I couldn't fully understand them.

“Nice but can be too much at times

Pros

This platform has tons of really helpful tutorials and resources that make it easier to get things done. Makes it very convenient to use.

Cons

It can be tricky to build models at times especially when you need to type code to define the behavior of your model and its surroundings.

“Versatile yet complicated

Pros

I find Anylogic to be super flexible. Being able to combine agent based, discrete event and system dynamics in one platform is awesome. The integration with Java lets you control everything and the built in libraries save me so much time. Its perfect for handling complex real world simulations.

Cons

As great a tool as it is, it can be a bit complicated to learn especially if youre not familiar with programming. A lot of the advanced features need Java coding which makes it unusable for some people.

“Makes PLC simple

Pros

The layout is super easy to use and design. The drag and drop features are simple to use and it connects easily to the PLC. Incredibly easy once you get the hang of it.

Cons

The connection sometimes doesnt work. It can be a bit confusing for a new user to figure out how everything works. Gets easier once you get used to it.

“Experience of a beginner

Pros

Back in the day I used it as a MBA student and loved the ability to use different tools all in one place. It made my coursework so much easier and the installation was not difficult either.

Cons

Didnt have any experience with this tool coming from engineering background so it took me quite a bit of time to get comfortable with it.
