“Full End to End Solution
Pros
BlueCherry offers a complete end-to-end solution that can grow alongside my company. I can avoid relying on multiple third-party plug-ins, which often don't work as intended in other ERP software.
Cons
Many modules required additional investment to get them functioning at a basic level. The training on different systems lacked a logical timeline, resulting in missed key features and a lot of jumping around.

“Streamline and Grow Your Operation with BlueCherry
Pros
BlueCherry's dedicated focus on our industry and extensive history of providing solutions in this space have been important in streamlining, optimizing and expanding our business on the platform. The development and implementation team possesses extensive experience with both the product and the industry, allowing them to help us overcome bottlenecks and address challenges in a strategic and efficient manner. The product's flexibility and integration with key software tools and providers essential to our business have been invaluable.
Cons
Shifting to exception-based rules in BlueCherry was our biggest challenge in running core business functionalities. Our previous software had limited capabilities which makes us do manual processes for nearly everything. BlueCherry allowed us to automate a significant portion of our day to day operations by creating rule sets, focusing only on exception cases. However, this required a mindset shift and posed challenges in setting up optimal rules for our operations. Once established, these functions became much more automated.

“Long time administrator and user of BlueCherry Classic and Infinity
Pros
The allocation engine is excellent as it offers numerous options for allocating sales orders with inventory and work-in-progress (WIP). The built-in multi-level product hierarchy (Product->Color->Size) simplifies every business process. Integrated EDI and the availability of standard EDI maps for our retail trading partners and logistics providers make EDI processing less burdensome. The reporting engine is robust, allowing us to access data when and how we need it, empowering us to make better decisions. The future plans to transition to a more open platform with APIs and workflows will be a game changer.
Cons
Upgrades can be challenging, especially when dealing with customizations or modules that are not widely used by other customers, such as BC Extender. While support is great at resolving major "System is down" errors promptly, they can be less helpful in addressing less urgent issues, resulting in open tickets dragging on for weeks. We faced difficulties in the past when launching non-standard EDI/API integrations, like Retailer Drop Ship programs. The Production Order Modules could benefit from some rework, as they can be glitchy when mass updating multiple Purchase Orders or tracking specific cost types or production stages.

“Apparel Company Must-Have
Pros
The flexibility of BlueCherry is one of its greatest strengths. Throughout my 19 years of experience working for three different apparel companies, each one has used BlueCherry in a unique way. The product's flexibility allows us to support existing business processes while also building new ones around it. What I particularly love is that BlueCherry is a comprehensive ERP system, encompassing integrated PLM modules and AWS for warehouse operations. It's a relief not to worry about integrating multiple systems for the basics, especially when the industry focuses heavily on Retail and Ecommerce, which inherently require connections to various external systems. This is especially beneficial for smaller IT departments, as they can support additional modules within BlueCherry rather than developing custom integrations with external systems like PLM, EDI, AWS, and more. Lastly, the CGS team is one of the best I've worked with. They constantly strive to make each product release better than the last, always seeking to provide value to their customers.
Cons
One downside of this software is the maintenance process, as CGS handles the majority of it. While I understand the reasons behind their rules, I would prefer more flexibility to perform maintenance tasks myself. I would even be willing to pay for training to gain the ability to handle these tasks on-demand instead of being queued for CGS's team and waiting for the work to be completed.

“Blue Cherry
Pros
The software is robust in successfully handling both B2B and B2C operations. What sets it apart is its customizability. We have implemented numerous modifications to cater to our specific business requirements.
Cons
Implementing certain features without guidance from CGS can be challenging. When setting up new functionality, it can be difficult to identify all the underlying tables and links.

“Top tier supply chain management solutions for apparel & fashion companies.
Pros
BlueCherry is a leader in the apparel and fashion industry, offering industry experts to implement their software. They have an efficient and effective team of subject matter experts in apparel and ERP, along with streamlined processes. We chose to implement the integrated BlueCherry suite of products to improve our business tools and support our growing functional and volume requirements. Before selecting BlueCherry, our internal steering team conducted a thorough RFP process, considering factors such as total cost of ownership, ease of use, service and support, references, R&D, scalability, and more. BlueCherry emerged as the top choice based on the consensus of our organizational steering team. With the integrated suite, we anticipate continuous improvements in supply chain performance, demand planning, inventory management, and order management.
Cons
To effectively implement the solution, I need to ensure a tight scope. BlueCherry provides numerous modules to support various business processes. Adopting new technology and committing time and resources are essential for success, as the solution challenges my skills and adaptability. The ease of use varies depending on my initial knowledge of ERP concepts and functional ERP experience. Since BlueCherry offers rich features for the apparel industry, proper end-user training becomes crucial for subjective "Ease of Use." Managing the flexibility in features and functionality requires close attention, and in-depth discussions on business process re-engineering are important.

“Support is everything
Pros
What I love the most about BlueCherry is its ability to support retail businesses. The PLM functions, CSC and other integrations are the distinguishing features of this system.
Cons
The software's support is my least favorite aspect. I wish they could assist me better and faster. While the system itself is good, having reliable and efficient service support is necessary.

Its ease of use, configurability and extensive range of features make it a highly adaptable and scalable solution. It's a perfect fit for small to mid-size or startup companies.

If not set up properly, the system may not be suitable for more complex organizations and operations, especially those involving multinational or multi-currency aspects.

“Long Time Satisfied Client
Pros
Over the course of 14 years, I have been using Blue Cherry and witnessed its growth into the robust system it is today. Whenever I had to find a solution or workaround for a task, Blue Cherry almost always had the answer. There are many hidden features in the system that people often overlook until they actually need them. The relationships I've built with CGS personnel over the years have been invaluable, as they have taught me more than I could have expected. We utilize various modules, including ERP, PLM, Retail EDI, BI, EDI 3PL, and integrations with Retail and soon E-commerce systems. Blue Cherry has played a pivotal role in many of our success stories, thanks to their exceptional technical support staff and project managers. When our entire organization went through a significant change, Blue Cherry software helped us navigate it smoothly. While no product is perfect, I wouldn't change Blue Cherry even if I had the option. As we face numerous challenges in the future, I have full confidence that Blue Cherry will continue to evolve and assist us in overcoming them.
Cons
It's a bit challenging to find the right resource to address my problems sometimes, but I can't be too dissatisfied as this can happen with any software company. Fortunately, their staff includes many experts on various subjects.

“good ERP system
Pros
BlueCherry is a highly scalable and high-performing system that brings my spreadsheet mess into the modern age. With customized reporting and a streamlined flow, it reduces the chances of errors and provides deep insights.
Cons
Running the software requires multiple servers and VMs, although there is also a cloud version available. Both versions typically require a minimum user license of about 5 to 10 users. However, I have experienced that customer support can be a little slow at times.

“Easy way to receive orders from retailers
Pros
When retailers send me orders through the BlueCherry system, it's easy to fulfill them by simply pulling the UPCs on each purchase order.
Cons
When 860 change notices are sent via Mi9 and authorized through EDI to the vendor, it's extremely hard to decode them. As a result, we often find ourselves requesting the generation of a new purchase order.

“The BlueCherry ERP is a strong solution for our swimwear business, and continues to scale with our changing business as we grow and expand globally.
Pros
The support team is backed by extensive knowledge and provides great useful features. CGS has a large in-house team with industry expertise, which has been instrumental as we expand and grow our business while supporting our e-commerce and wholesale strategies.
Cons
Having a super-user on the software who works closely with CGS is crucial to stay updated on new features and functions that can be leveraged as needed. With numerous modules and features available, it's important to understand how they work and fit into our business processes to make the most of them. Investing in the necessary training is essential to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

“Powerful Solutions, Trusted Support, and a Network of Industry Leaders
Pros
The BlueCherry environment offers reliable solutions to the many challenges we encounter in the fast-paced and ever-changing fashion industry. With the support of CGS and its offerings, we have successfully met the demands of the business and most importantly, our consumers. ERP, BCEDI and AWS are the key components that drive the business with efficiency and accuracy. I have deep respect and appreciation for the support and development teams, as I have learned a great deal from them and eagerly anticipate future collaborations. The management and executive teams are approachable and responsive, ensuring their availability when needed. Lastly, the CGS "Link-Up" events and access to the BlueCherry community are invaluable resources.
Cons
There is room for innovation in the upgrade process. While manual testing will always have its place to some extent, it would be great to see CGS provide tools to streamline and automate this process. Although this may not be a fair criticism, I envision a world where frequent upgrades can be trusted not to disrupt our business, while also providing all the latest and greatest features.

“currently using PLM, ERP and EDI see the advantages of Collaborative and B to B website as add ons.
Pros
Once I set up the programs, they are easy to use and integrate into my business model. After receiving training, I rarely encounter any issues. Staying up to date with general service packs and releases ensures that I benefit from the latest enhancements offered by CGS.
Cons
The system tends to create a large number of temporary files over time, which eventually impacts performance. Regular maintenance is required to address this issue.

“Implemented BlueCherry ERP, BlueCherry EDI and BlueCherry AWS in 3 apparel sourcing divisions to streamline business processes and provide more accurate, timely information to business community to make business decisions.
Pros
The functionality of the solution has been specifically designed to meet the unique requirements of the apparel sourcing industry. The solution's flexible configuration allows me to easily adapt it to changing business needs. With user-friendly BI/reporting tools, I can quickly create or modify views/reports to provide accurate and timely information to the business community. CGS takes care of maintaining EDI mappings to retailer standards, eliminating the need for in-house skills in this area.
Cons
While the user interface supports Microsoft Office tasks like copy/paste, I would prefer a more Microsoft-like look and feel. This would make it easier for our business community to navigate between BlueCherry and Microsoft Office. Additionally, integrating BlueCherry with Microsoft Active Directory for single sign-on support would be beneficial. It would also be helpful if data extracts from BlueCherry could be formatted in more file formats beyond just .csv and .txt.

“Can a company survive without a comprehensive ERP software program?
Pros
Once I have set up all the initial controls and reference tables, completing my processes is as simple as filling in the necessary information. CGS has provided more functionality than most companies actually need, even though each customer's requirements may vary based on their business type. Through periodic on-site support with an experienced Project Manager, we have discovered hidden program functionality that we were previously unaware of. We work with numerous retail customers and have never encountered a situation where we couldn't fulfill their needs through the program.
Cons
The support, apart from EDI support, sometimes falls short, but resolutions are generally timely. It would be great to have a simpler method of uploading orders via a spreadsheet.
