“quick invoicing on mobile”

Connecting with QuickBooks works flawlessly and has been one of the best parts of using this program.

Cons

At times the interface feels pretty sluggish which can slow things down.

Pros

Getting it up and running was a smooth and easy process. I do wish there had been more support around the QuickBooks integration but overall we rely on Ekos heavily for inventory management, production planning, invoicing and reporting. At this point, operating without it would be very difficult for us. I also really appreciate that the software keeps improving, I look forward to each update.

Cons

The link between items in Ekos and QuickBooks can be unreliable at times although some of that does come down to human error as well.

Being able to view the floor plan of my workplace is really useful for planning.

It helps our kombucha brewery cover nearly all of our food safety requirements, while also making everyday operations much clearer and easier to monitor and evaluate.

A few parts of the asset tracking features are somewhat tricky to work with. If an asset is entered incorrectly making changes afterward can be difficult.

Being able to connect to QuickBooks through Ekos has been a huge advantage. It really acts as the central hub for our company and I love the browser version too.

Cons

It has a few problem areas worth mentioning. First, the mobile app has declined over time. With every new iPhone iOS release, it seems to become less useful. There are scroll bars all over the place, pages do not render properly and I end up waiting until I can use the browser instead which kind of defeats the point of having a mobile app. This part really needs more attention. Another issue is performance. Saving can be very slow and data syncs sometimes stall. If something goes wrong after support hours, there is basically no help until the next business day which is especially frustrating for anyone handling the books over the weekend. Reporting is also a weak spot. The report builder is rigid and custom reports often time out with vague error messages. I would really like direct access to the data so I could build pivot tables or export spreadsheets for better business analysis. Lastly, feature requests feel like they disappear into a void. I have personally stopped submitting them because nothing ever seemed to come from it.

Pros

Ever we shifted to using this as our single platform for most of our business operations things have been running a lot more smoothly. It covers a lot in one place and there's plenty of flexibility to customize it around the specific needs of our brewery.

Cons

The reporting tools are highly customizable which is a plus but setting up a custom report can take a while when you need a very specific set of data combined into one report.

Pros

Setting up and rolling out the software was a very painless process. You can even add new modules or extra features without any problems.

Cons

One downside is that it doesn't work very well with other software platforms when it comes to integration.

Really easy to get used to and using it day to day has been a very simple process as well. Their team did an excellent job during setup and has continued to offer strong support. One of the things I enjoy most is how much flexibility there is to customize the reports.

Cons

At the beginning, we ran into a communication issue between this and QuickBooks. It couldn't send all of our invoices over because those reference numbers had already been used in QuickBooks. Support helped us figure out what was causing it and after we updated the way we label invoices, everything worked without any problems. Looking back, it actually feels like a helpful safeguard.

The way it integrates with our programs has been really solid.

Customizing reports can be a bit tricky and with so many reports already built into the system, it takes time to locate the exact information you need.

Does a really good job of keeping production, inventory, sales and invoicing all in one place which makes daily operations much easier to manage.

The only downside is report customization. It's possible to get what you need but I usually have to reach out to customer service to make it happen although they're very helpful.

It gives us a much better view across different parts of the operation without having to depend on spreadsheets that are hard to keep updated and aligned. Having clear insight into yields and costs makes a real difference.

Cons

Tracking down a report with exactly the details I need can sometimes be frustrating when I'm searching for something very specific. That said, the customer support is excellent. Just one quick call or chat and they usually help create the report we need.

Pros

One thing that has really stood out to me is how fast, kind and helpful their customer support has been even if that is not what everyone else seems to say here. The platform has an endless range of features so it definitely takes time to learn everything. That said, there is no reason to stress about it. I have used the software every day for more than two and a half years and I am still discovering new things. Whenever I run into a problem, I contact the support team and usually get an email reply within an hour or even sooner. The most helpful responses come when you clearly explain the issue and attach screenshots and in most cases they are able to identify the problem right away.

Cons

Since the software is always being updated and improved, a few bugs do come up from time to time and they can be tricky to work around. Still, reaching out to the support team usually resolves those issues without much trouble.

Pros

Its so convenient and user friendly and it gives me access to so many key parts of my job within seconds. Inventory, customer details, sales trends and plenty more are all right there and the customization options make it even more useful.

Cons

There are a few parts of the current software that I wish worked a little differently but the team has done an excellent job of listening to feedback and rolling out changes and updates based on what users say they need.

Out of all the order management tools I've worked with, Ekos has been the easiest to use by far. The interface is well designed, the overall UX feels polished and the way the system works is very easy to understand. With my background in retail and hospitality, I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone who needs software to help run their business operations.

Cons

My main use for it is creating invoices and adding new customers to the system and I really haven't run into any issues. Those tasks are simple to handle and the software performs well for what I need.

It gave us a simple way to visualize and manage production. The inventory tools keep getting better and the way recipes connect with inventory makes it much easier to catch mistakes. The reporting features have been a great addition to our work and have improved the accuracy of our record keeping dramatically.

Cons

There are still some bugs when new features roll out although the development team usually seems to know about them already. At times, issues related to our brewery-specific setup can take a while to get a response or be fully resolved.

Pros

Running a brewery takes a lot of moving parts and EKOS brings all of them into one industry focused system. It handles the full backend workflow, from production and packaging to sales and distribution so nothing feels disconnected. As a sales rep, this has made my job much more efficient. I can process sales orders from the app on my phone or from my laptop which basically lets me work from anywhere like a mobile sales office. The inventory data stays current so Im not selling products that aren't actually available. I also get visibility into what's happening in production which helps me keep customers updated on what's being made now and what should be coming soon. EKOS now plays a huge part in keeping daily operations running well.

Cons

It has some bugs that act up sometimes. They're usually pretty minor and can be worked through but the system definitely has its moments. The mobile app could use some refinement to perform better in the field since the desktop version is noticeably more polished and reliable.

Setting it up isn't very complicated and the platform keeps improving with frequent updates. The team is also receptive to feedback when an update needs a bit more work. Customer service has been reliable too, it's easy to get in touch when something goes wrong and responses usually come back quickly.

Cons

At times, updates remove features that were actually useful. Some problems can also take quite a while to get fixed and tend to keep coming back, such as issues with emailing invoices.

The team at Ekos is top notch and working with the product development team has been something I really enjoy.

Cons

Reporting is terrible and too complicated. Building a custom report feels like it takes a coding degree and there are so many loading delays and glitches.

Running operations across multiple locations is much more manageable with this because it's so versatile. The live updates, visual graphics and cradle to grave data tracking are all really valuable for us and adding it in my day to day work has been a no brainer.

Cons

I wish we were able to integrate it with our POS system.

Everything is organized in a very logical way, from creating items to managing brew recipe ingredients and packaging materials. The brewing schedules are also very practical and make production planning much easier to handle.

Raw material lot tracking still has room for improvement. It would also be helpful to have brewing microB quality checks integrated directly with the brew data.
