“reliable production and reporting”
Pros
Being one of the early adopters of this product we definitely had to put in a fair bit of effort upfront which is pretty normal with any software. Once everything was configured properly though, it has consistently worked well and handles our food production, traceability, financial reporting and ordering without issues. The flexibility to create custom reports tailored to our needs has been especially valuable and the ProdTrac support team is always available whenever we need help.
Cons
There's nothing negative I can point to.

“well connected system design”
Pros
Browsing through it feels easy to me and it's simple to understand how everything works. The navigation makes sense and all the different parts link together really well.
Cons
Since it's such a full package, my team finds there are quite a few screens and fields in the forms that don't always get used which can make setting up new products a bit confusing. A little more flexibility around customization would also be helpful.

“Outstanding food manufacturing value”
Pros
This software feels like a very complete system to me, covering technical, manufacturing, planning and finance in one package. It's easy to work with and the reporting is excellent. For a full manufacturing solution built specifically for the food industry, it offers excellent value for money. The multi-level BOM feature is especially important in food manufacturing and is missing from many other systems. On the finance side, the gross margin reporting is a standout feature for managing costs and improving margins.
Cons
There isn't a cloud-based version available at the present although I understand that this is being developed.

“helpful service but difficult features”
Pros
When it comes to this software, the customer service stands out the most. Any question we raise gets answered within 24 hours and they've also worked closely with us to build a range of customised reports. From costings to invoicing and traceability, the system covers a lot.
Cons
The traceability and stock control parts feel very difficult and take too much time to use which is why we've ended up not using those features.
