“just doesn't deliver like before
Pros
I like how the streams are simple to follow and grouping them together makes things even easier.
Cons
Pitching has become less effective. Following up with media means you have to download, sort and reupload lists manually which is not user-friendly for PR pros. Also I can't edit or add to streams that others share with me.

“UI got too messy with recent changes
Pros
The tool provides lots of valuable info and the search functionality is thorough. Also changing search terms is not a problem anymore. We mainly use it occasionally to track sentiment and trends especially useful during crises.
Cons
Interface feels clunky since the update. Also it does not show info clearly and navigation is tough. Plus my account rep only contacts me during renewal, never promptly or in detail.

“Great tool for PR tracking
Pros
Compared to other platforms I find this one is easier to use. Also the layout feels natural, loads fast and requires fewer steps to get results.
Cons
More powerful social media reporting would be nice but we only get it if our contract includes Brandwatch.

“ideal for communication teams
Pros
It is always dependable and simple to use. I rely on it to alert me about important news for my organization.
Cons
The reporter database needs improvement. Also it is not as good as MuckRack.

“Very user-friendly
Pros
CisionOne helps me reach key journalists for my clients easily. I especially like tracking how well each pitch or press release performs and which topics the media respond to most.
Cons
Analytics have some issues as you can see who clicked links or opened emails but not which outlet they belong to as you have to exit analytics to search for that. Press releases look like one big image which is also odd to me. Also there is no company or outlet field when adding personal contacts which is a major downside.

“happy that I chose it
Pros
The extensive media database and user friendly design really stand out to me.
Cons
Sometimes contact lists are way too large and take a while to narrow down to what I really need.

“Not perfect yet
Pros
The sectors feature is my most fav as it allows me to find journalists in specific categories quick and simple.
Cons
Photos must be downloaded to insert into releases. There is no dropdown menu for DMA regions. The journalist numbers are low for instance, searching Family & Parenting in the USA gives about 32 contacts. After sending a pitch we can't group who opened or did not open it as we must check each name individually which makes follow-ups nearly impossible.

“Less complicated and more helpful
Pros
Dashboards are now much easier to set up making it so simple for me to find the stories I want. Also reports and dashboards can be shared pretty easily letting me show ROI instantly. I am really thankful for the recent system upgrades on CisionOne.
Cons
Honestly my main complaint was fixed. They added AI to the platform. If that AI could help me write better Boolean searches it'd be perfect.

“Quite better than what we had
Pros
I find it really easy to navigate and offers a smooth user experience with plenty of widget options.
Cons
Mention streams don't link up as deleting coverage from one does not remove it from others. That was a helpful feature in the old platform. Plus migrating to CisionOne was tough and required a lot of supervision from my team.

“love the idea, hate the execution
Pros
The charts look nice and the idea of combining everything in one place is good but the actual execution falls short. Thankfully a couple of knowledgeable support staff can solve some issues. However last time I checked the data accuracy was questionable.
Cons
There is a lot that I did not like about it such as there is no option to download data for deeper analysis. Also the charts are not very useful as they are and are hard to customize.

“Works great for global teams
Pros
I like that this platform handles everything. The media database is huge, covering contacts in the UK and internationally. Also it is easy to pull media lists and send pitches directly. We use it daily and found the onboarding sessions with support really helpful.
Cons
Sometimes the platform misses some coverage so we have to find it manually.

“packed with helpful features
Pros
The reporting flexibility and the ability to choose specific media outlets for clients and projects give great control over what's shared and how we discuss reports with clients.
Cons
Getting good insights means we have to deal with complex reporting setups but with time and practice, it becomes easier and valuable.

“Basic yet practical
Pros
Its interface is simple, reporting options are adaptable and the analysis tools are powerful for understanding market trends and positioning. Plus the onboarding process is easy too as it did not take much time of our to get a hand of it.
Cons
The 28 day window to capture print items is short. And though customer support is consistent but can take time to resolve issues which I don't like.

“overpromised and underdelivered
Pros
I admit there are some cool new features but their benefits get lost because the user experience and layout feel chaotic and hard to navigate.
Cons
Well I chose Cision for its simple, organized and streamlined platform. But CisionOne feels chaotic and visually overwhelming. As alert emails are harder to read. So I would suggest if it's not broken, don't fix it as the old Cision was not broken. I have recommended Cision for years but now plan to find a new solution when my contract ends. I use it daily but now regret using CisionOne.

“Ideal for media work
Pros
Well I love the clean, easy to read interface. Also it is simple to create search queries by topic, media outlet or journalist name. I even really enjoy being able to create and save lists right within the platform.
Cons
This version has a learning curve compared to previous ones. Also narrowing searches can be hard. Filtering options exist but are not very user friendly. And though the in-app email distribution concept is good but I feel like it needs some work on execution.
