“Very simple tool with high results
Pros
The most simple tool out there. With Deepcrawl (now Lumar) integration, the account managers are fantastic and truly listen to feedback, making it feel more like a partnership than a typical business/client relationship.
Cons
At the time I used the tool, a backlink feature was frequently mentioned as a potential future integration but I never saw it materialize, maybe it's been added since then.

The extension for Chrome helps identify the keywords a page ranks for, their volume and their frequency. It also displays any technical issues on the webpage, a helpful feature for SEO work.
Cons
I haven't had any bad experiences so far but it would be great if they offered more free searches per day.

Cons
It has great features but the dashboard could be improved for better understanding. It would also be helpful to have a Google Data Studio connector for integration with Google tools.

Insights are valuable and the tool's features are impressive. It's great for in depth, �in the weeds� research of keyword ranking performance.
Cons
The product was extremely slow and some days it didn't work at all. This was particularly frustrating at the beginning of the month when client reporting was due.

Pros
I primarily use the Research Cloud and Content Experience tools, like organic search, keyword discovery, topic explorer and content manager. They are vital for daily SEO work and creating content that is highly searchable.
Cons
I don't find the readability score in the Content Manager all that useful. It would be nice if simple language had a greater focus in future updates.

I truly enjoy working with the Searchmetrics Suite. The design, various graphics and comparison options are great but what stands out is the search and site experience. It's userfriendly and I easily integrated it into my business processes. The evaluations especially the dashboards, are incredibly valuable.
Cons
Integration wasn't a problem. The tool's price is the only downside, it could be a bit more affordable.

The content experience tool provides thorough insights into existing and competitor content. The research cloud allows easy access to topic metrics and related topics. The tagging feature helps segment keyword visibility by specific topics or URLs, making it easy to compare your keyword presence with that of competitors.
Cons
Tracking keywords directly in the Content Experience tool can be confusing. if you want to remove suggested keywords, you need to manually remove them from every related list and there's no option to remove them from all lists at once.

Keyword research is fantastic and the tagging ability on the Project side is essential for organizing and tracking SEO efforts.
Cons
There are times when very small sites aren't treated the same way as larger sites. For example I had client sites with fewer than 500 pages that went weeks without updated data in the Research section. If you are paying to track these sites, the Research section should be crawling them regularly to provide the necessary data for content creation.
