helpful service but templates need improvement

Pros

The interface is easy to use and looks nice. Customer service is consistently helpful whenever I've had to contact them.

Cons

Not a fan of losing the option to create emails from scratch. Having to choose a template and delete all its parts before making a simple email feels slow, annoying and unnecessary most of the time.

the best value CRM for donors

Pros

Super easy to use and makes managing donors smooth. As far as the price is concerned it's the best CRM out there ! We also like that pricing scales by constituent count.

Cons

There are still restrictions around custom and profile fields. plus limited options for report filtering and column configuration.

Little costly but saves time

Pros

Bloomerang stores everything in a single spot and integrates easily with tools such as Zapier. it ended up saving us a ton of time when we grew from a small group to something larger.

Cons

Certain capabilities are missing or cost extra. For example it'd be nice if the volunteer functionality was included in Bloomerang instead of being offered as a paid add-on.

all-in-one with great support

Pros

For me Bloomerang is an all-in-one donor CRM that makes reporting and acknowledging gifts simple. Its donor engagement scoring and a direct DonorSearch link give us deeper insight into our supporters.

Cons

Reports are occasionally restrictive yet the helpdesk responds very fast with practical and useful suggestions and easy workarounds.

totally outdated

Pros

Nothing about Bloomerang appeals to me..didn't like it at all

Cons

This CRM feels ancient and glitchy with barely usable features, awful customer support and promises they don't keep. Their online forms are basically useless unless you buy an upgraded plan to get working forms. We bought two add-ons (Give+ and DonorSearch) and they never activated those services for more than 10 months. Reached out through chat and email many times, sometimes it takes 3-5 days to hear back and other times there's no reply at all. The system is very unfriendly and frequently requires jumping between several places just to complete a single task. Because they failed to deliver Give+ and DonorSearch for over 10 months which is a breach of contract, we asked to cancel early and they refused. Would not suggest this to anyone.

excellent support for custom reports

Pros

Customer support is excellent whenever help is needed to set up custom reports.

Cons

It doesn't always have every feature I want and that can be frustrating at times but customer support is always willing to help me find a workaround.

Highly capable software

Pros

We frequently recommend Bloomerang to our clients. The platform is easy to navigate, very capable and their customer support is consistently knowledgeable and responsive compared with other similar database providers in the sector.

Cons

One improvement we'd hope for over the next few years is broader integration options for more complex fundraising operations. Bloomerang has several integrations available but they can be tricky for staff at organizations to set up and use effectively internally.

satisfying experience

Pros

Really easy to navigate and it handles everything I require. The in-app chat support is excellent and replies fast. If any issue arises, the team usually has a solution for me in a matter of minutes. By far the best CRM I've used to date.

Cons

We ended up building our donation form with a different platform because Bloomerang's built-in form wasn't great and lacked much customization, visual flair or ability to match our brand.

Best for donation management

Pros

I find this app perfectly simple and user-friendly, quick to pick up. Built-in email and newsletter tools are really great. Reporting is solid. Donations automatically go into the donor's record and new donors get new profiles. Saves a lot of time.

Cons

There is no feature for address labels and no method to print a contact's name and address directly onto an envelope.

Pros

The best part is that I can access it from anywhere. Generating reports is super simple.

Cons

perfectly suited for small teams

Pros

Works well right away and is simple to pick up as a CRM. The built-in emailing tool handles almost everything MailChimp does. Creating reports is extrremely easy, no deep query skills required.. just a basic grasp of filters. The bundled Wealth Research feature is limited but still really useful for small teams and nonprofits.

Cons

According to me it's not the most feature-rich platform but it provides everything a small nonprofit needs. Those limitations are acceptable because the simplicity ensures staff will actually adopt it and saves time on training.

Simple yet hard to mitigate

Pros

Really simple to navigate!! You don't need much technical skill to jump in and begin working with the system.

Cons

Transferring data from our old platform was time-consuming and tedious but I don't see an obvious way to avoid it.

Not really flexible

Pros

I find Bloomerang's simplicity very impressive. The dashboard offers a simple snapshot of donor engagement and fundraising results making it easy to monitor and boost your work. Its reporting features are practical for digging into data and guiding smart choices. On top of that their dependable customer support and training materials help ensure you're using the software to its fullest.

Cons

One drawback we noticed is that customization is a bit limited. It may not give the same level of flexibility to tailor features to very specific organizational needs that some other platforms offer.

gets messy with time

Pros

the person from the sales team who suggested it to us was friendly and easygoing.

Cons

the sales pitch was good but they were unable to keep tabs on our customer account and after I personally created a debit account and asked to close it they couldn't complete the cancellation request.

What I appreciate most is being able to support many people through Bloomerang since many times doing these activities alone is harder it's a very simple process with just a few clicks and little effort

ideal tool for donor management

Pros

I think it is super easy to use & the interface feels natural so anyone can browse and learn it without long tutorials or training.

Cons

Finding where to edit a donor's profile can be confusing as it's not obvious what to click to add a family member, view notes about their donor story and giving history or mark them as deceased. That whole section should be much easier to locate.

glad we switched

Pros

We moved from Donor Perfect to Bloomerang because it's so much simpler to monitor groups and build reports tailored to our nonprofit and we couldn't be more pleased!

Cons

We ran into a few annoying problems moving our Households into Bloomerang because of how those records had been structured in our previous CRM setup.
