“mixed bag for organization tools
Pros
Managing memberships, handling the store, supporting fundraising efforts and organizing events all in one place makes it feel like a centralized system for a lot of operational needs.
Cons
Experience with support has been really inconsistent. Sometimes a response comes pretty fast but other times waiting for weeks over a very basic request happens. No phone support exists so talking things through with someone directly isn't possible. On top of that, none of the modules feel especially strong and the overall branding feels a bit dated and unpolished. Many of the training videos are either outdated or only really useful for Scout organizations.

“rough transition and missing tools
Pros
Online purchasing and registration support with customizable forms is a definite plus. Credit card payments can be processed with the updated card reader and using iPad POS stations has been a useful feature for handling transactions.
Cons
Promises that never got fulfilled were the real letdown. From my experience the transition was extremely bumpy and the CRM functionality we were told was coming never actually materialized. A major problem with duplicate constituent records has also created a lot of confusion. On top of that, payment options feel very limited and no real way to separate individual constituents from organizations exists. The lack of relationship or household tracking features was also frustrating. Back-office administration has been difficult to manage and the customer service or training from Doubleknot hasn't been helpful. Even the user guides are frustrating because they aren't searchable.

“Versatile platform for our museum
Pros
Across our museum, this has proven flexible and comprehensive enough to support the whole team and that says a lot with a staff of 50 and around 125k visitors each year. One system serving so many areas at once, including membership, donor relations, programming, archives and collections, front-line operations and more, is genuinely appreciated. Time was needed to get comfortable with everything but the support has been solid throughout. Other institutions already knowing and using the software is also a plus because that familiarity makes adoption and collaboration feel a lot more manageable.
Cons
Both the internal and outward-facing language can feel more complicated and wordy than necessary so extra time sorting through information with staff or patrons is sometimes needed. From my experience moving from one platform to another is never simple but Doubleknot seemed to create quite a few strange-looking or incomplete records tied to former donors, members and other constituents which definitely added some frustration during the transition.

“all-in-one camp setup win
Pros
User-friendly for customers and significantly reduced time setting up summer camps has been the most valuable part. Many options when building out programs provide flexibility instead of forcing everything into a rigid format. Another big plus, in my experience, is that all of our camps and programs could live in one place which would be really convenient if we weren't already relying on another system for most of them.
Cons
That said a few frustrations do exist. Automatic report scheduling isn't available which is something genuinely wished for. The way orders appear in the back office also isn't very simple and tracking the transactions tied to a single order can be confusing. Items from the same order ending up with separate order numbers is also not a favorite. On top of that, the accounting side still needs improvement especially because it doesn't support an accrual-based accounting system very well.

“Flexible tools that save us time
Pros
Making updates on our own without spending a lot of time or dealing with unnecessary hassle is the biggest advantage. Automated functions, like payment reminders and similar tasks, have been a real time-saver for our staff and they've made program registration and payment collection much more efficient for our visitors. Another big plus is the reporting side of the platform. Using those features to keep track of financials, organize staff scheduling and review our programming from different calendar views has been incredibly helpful in day-to-day operations.
Cons
Some visitors say they have trouble with online registration or with making payments through the system and at times they are not fully sure how the process works.
