The software itself is amazing and offers so much for our non-profit but what really stands out is the customer service plus the team is incredibly responsive and always ready to assist us.
Cons
After they updated the Relationship page, it's become more difficult for me to look up a specific customer in our database.

MonkeyPod is so simple and easy to use. Navigating the platform is also simple and the support team provides fast, helpful answers whenever I need them. The clean design and affordable price make it a perfect ten for us.
Cons
There is a bit of a learning period at the start but it does not last long. I must say its YouTube channel was a huge help as I learned how to use many features before I even logged in for the first time.

“A game changer for donor management
Pros
Having a powerful system for managing donors and clients has been a game-changer. The built-in tools for processing donations and running email campaigns are huge bonuses that come included and for now we are excited to dive deeper into the accounting features next.
Cons
We'd really like more ways to customize our fundraising and donation pages. Also a feature to help us organize and run in-person events like handling ticket sales or online auctions, would also be a fantastic addition.

The MonkeyPod team is always quick to help whenever we have questions. The donor and grant tracking tools have simplified our work so much compared to our old CRM. We also really like that the subscription is month to month with no long-term contract.
Cons
Getting used to some of the new tools has taken time and the data migration process was lengthy. But the excellent support we received made the transition much easier to handle.

Pros
As our organizations Treasurer, I find the platform very user friendly. It automatically handles both sides of a transaction which saves me time. Searching for contacts is easy too and the duplicate detection is helpful. We run our annual email campaigns through it and even our less technical staff members can use it without trouble.
Cons
Well I'd love to have the ability to build and save my own custom reports. It would also be helpful to have a dropdown menu for line items when I am searching through our financial records.

Our small mental health research non-profit has relied on MonkeyPod for about five years now. We use it for everything from donor relations and email marketing to keeping our financial records. The seamless integration is pretty important for our small team and this tool eliminates the need to juggle multiple programs and data transfers.
Cons
What we thought was a drawback actually became a benefit. When our revenue decreased and the subscription cost became a burden, the billing team worked with us to find a creative solution that lowered our costs, provided a credit and allowed us to keep using the platform.

“Brings all our tools together!
Pros
The way this tool brings together our CRM, finances, fundraising and email marketing into one automated system is what makes it exceptional. We consolidated tools like Quicken and ActiveCampaign into this single, smooth platform making it much easier to connect with our donors. Overall we are incredibly thankful for it!
Cons
I noticed that the bookkeeping side has not been as easy to use as I expected and still needs some manual work each month. That said, it has successfully automated most of our complex international invoicing.

This is a very thorough application built specifically for non-profits. It has helped us replace numerous spreadsheets and separate logs by bringing almost everything into one interconnected system. Our financial oversight is tighter, grant management is smoother and communicating with everyone in our community is now effortless and the best part is that we are still discovering new features.
Cons
Sometimes they roll out system updates without giving users a heads-up which can be a little confusing when things change unexpectedly.

Combining donor management with bookkeeping gives us a clear, immediate picture of our finances and shows the direct impact of our donors contributions.
Cons
The email integration has been disappointing. I receive many more bounce-back messages than I ever did with WIX. WIX also offers much more dynamic design tools for newsletters, so I am still creating them there which means MonkeyPod is not the complete all in one solution I had hoped for.

Pros
I made the effort to bring MonkeyPod into our organization. The onboarding communication was excellent and the platform is simple to use for anyone with basic database knowledge and not only it has built-in email and pipeline tools but also integrates with our other favorites like Eventbrite and JotForm. Plus having financial management within the main database is a rare and valuable feature. Beyond the product, we also like that it acts as a true partner in the non-profit community, showing a genuine commitment to supporting smaller organizations like ours.
Cons
Some of the website integration tools felt a bit basic and did not offer much room for customization, though this might have been due to our own technical limitations.

We received a local discount for our first year which makes the platform very budget-friendly for now. Though we are still getting familiar with everything but the customer support from the MonkeyPod team has been outstanding. While we are cleaning up and importing our old data, it's already clear this system will be much simpler to use and train new staff on in the long run.
Cons
Learning any new system is naturally complicated so that's not software's fault. As we moved from a platform we knew well and while we are getting more comfortable, it will just take a significant amount of time to become fully proficient.

Pros
Transitioning from our old database was smooth with Monkeypod. Now we can send professional-looking newsletters directly from the system without any hassle. The donor management is excellent too and generating reports is very easy now.
Cons
It can be time-consuming to find contacts based on custom attributes. So I feel like having that filter available in the main search bar would be really helpful.

Pros
With over 15 years in operations, it is incredible to finally find a true all in one platform. I mean it is difficult to choose a single favorite feature. The personalized service is top notch as every staff member I have contacted has been friendly and eager to help. The system is also very user friendly with a gentle learning curve. Plus donor management is simple and customizable, email campaigns sync perfectly and the modular pricing lets us tailor the platform to our budget and needs.
Cons
My only wish is that they would develop new modular add-ons a bit faster, though I admit that's a selfish desire. I am eager for more apps and integrations but I do appreciate that they genuinely listens to user feedback and prioritizes development based on what we need most.

MonkeyPod is excellent because it merges our CRM, financials and marketing into a single, easy-to-use platform. We no longer have to hunt for information across multiple logins, Excel files and other scattered places.
Cons
Right now we are really hoping it will partner with the Point Volunteer App. They have integrated with so many other platforms and this partnership would let us bring one more essential tool into our system.

“outstanding accounting tool :)
Pros
This is an outstanding tool for our nonprofit's accounting. It seamlessly connects our donor CRM with our financials. The learning curve is also minimal, allowing us to get started right away without extensive training. We selected it specifically for its integration with Gusto, our payroll provider.
Cons
We have run into a few small snags that make the platform feel a bit clunkier than we'd like. For instance we cannot use the invoicing feature as intended because of how it automatically applies payments. Because we need it to record payments on pledges but it does not work that way. The reporting is also tricky as the report names do not match what our donors and board expect like P&L so I am constantly translating. Even the dashboard is not as helpful as I's hoped. I mean it does not give me a clear picture of our actual available funds.

It is great for organizing donor information and linking household records and the merging tool works well too. Creating and distributing email campaigns is also a solid feature.
Cons
The formatting often gets messy when I am building email campaigns, especially when copying and pasting text. I'd also love the ability to run text message campaigns. On a positive note, I absolutely love the BCC feature that automatically logs all our communications within MonkeyPod.

I really like how customizable MonkeyPod is and whenever I cannot figure something out, the support team provides quick answers and helpful suggestions. They are consistently responsive, friendly and dedicated to making our experience positive.
Cons
Migrating our data from the old software was a lengthy and somewhat tedious process but I imagine thats pretty standard for any system transition.

It successfully replaced our patched-together systems with one unified platform for communications and donor tracking. So now the operation has been smooth and user-friendly. We have also enjoyed seeing new features like Apple Pay, added since we joined.
Cons
Well we hit a few bumps during the migration and since it is not custom-built software, there are a few specific things we'd like to do that just are not possible. That said, it is nothing major enough to make us look for a different primary system. though a live campaign tracker for events would be a great feature to add!
