“Good, though not perfect
Pros
Anaplan software is really flexible and offers almost real-time updates with in memory calculations which I find super helpful.
Cons
The things that are concerning to me are the lack of integrations and the high cost of implementation.

“Poor support service
Pros
I have had a negative experience with the company. They have been dishonest, disorganized and charged for services they didn't fulfill.
Cons
Anaplan out of nowhere disabled the product without notifying us. They acknowledged the products malfunction for several weeks but didn't offer a refund. All we have to do is wait instead for the contract to expire.

“The leading tool for CPM
Pros
Anaplan makes data modeling fairly easy and its built-in calculation engine works really well. It's been a great asset for us. I use this cloud-based planning tool to run my business team and help us plan and achieve our goals.
Cons
Being able to see the objects under a connected source system is definitely going to help a lot. I am hoping that they will introduce this feature soon.

“Anaplan is a good choice for your business
Pros
It is a great software as it offers so many different advantages. Its real time calculation feature is exceptional. It is easy to integrate into our system and use. Additionally it caters to businesses of all sizes and delivers immediate results.
Cons
The tool has a few minor functionality issues but honestly, they are not that big of a deal as they don't really affect our day to day workflow.

“Decent but lacks some features
Pros
Anaplan makes resource planning super easy. Plus it really streamlines everything and is so efficient.
Cons
Some functions, like sum and lookup, tend to slow down the model's performance, which we did not find ideal at all.

“Does the job, but not without issues
Pros
It's a large company, so it has all the features needed to flow data through and analyze, which could be great for others. But with the limited budgeting capacity I have, it is not exactly ideal for me.
Cons
Well to me the functionality of the budgeting and costing areas feels a bit clunky and manual.

“Has great features
Pros
First off, Anaplan is really easy to learn and it's actually exciting to work with Excel using this system. The drill-down feature makes it quite easy to troubleshoot errors while using different functions. Plus, it's sales offer the fat fingering key, which lets us quickly remove any unwanted data. It also integrates smoothly with other systems and helps us build the best product development team.
Cons
Anaplan is a decent tool but it has limitations that make it less likeable to us. Like it doesn't handle high integration functions well and lacks a wide range of event workflows. Additionally it doesn't provide satisfactory report analytical services even at a high granularity.

“Wish I had this tool sooner
Pros
At last I gained access to this platform in Q3 and it has given my team transparency to view our quarterly goals and bonuses. Previously we didn't have visibility into this information.
Cons
Our customer success compensation page has a lot of white space and could be visually improved but it has all the necessary information.

“Business-friendly software
Pros
Well it is great for supply chain, sales performance, and Opex. In short I would say it is a business-friendly platform with lots of different use cases.
Cons
The learning journey of ours for this tool is a bit too steep and an administration team is required to manage the apps.

“Happy and recommended
Pros
I support a TMC team in the hospitality space and we use Anaplan for our performance metrics and program management. Anaplan presents data in a visually pleasing manner and allows for easily exportable graphs for our clients.
Cons
Overall I am very much satisfied with the product. However I must say faster uploads would be very much appreciated. It is coming From an administrators perspective.

“Take your business to the next level
Pros
It is a cloud connected forecasting software that takes businesses like ours to the next level by replacing old Excel files and manual updating processes. Plus it provides a glimpse into the future, allowing for analysis of large data sets and complete transparency and connectedness within the business.
Cons
There are minor functionality issues I have noticed within the tool but they are hardly noticeable.

Pros
I think this software is perfect for companies that need what-if scenario planning, forecasting, budgeting, workforce planning and tracking competitor data. It really has all in one functionality, offering a clean and clear overview of the business.

“Planning is made easy with Anaplan
Pros
I love how cloud-focused this software is. Plus it helps us connect data and plan across different teams and I can customize the tools to fit our needs. And all the information and updates are available instantly which makes it even more likable.
Cons
I am not impressed with the reporting tools. Formatting different areas of the tool is very hard. I feel like it should have some useful Excel functions.

“Easy to use with the right setup
Pros
Once it's set up, Anaplan software is quite fast at modeling business scenarios. Also it lets everyone access the same central data, so we don't run into version conflicts or end up with different numbers floating around the business.
Cons
Well I think some might argue that it is relatively expensive for what could be considered a spreadsheet although it offers much more.

“Saves me a lot of time
Pros
Before we started using Anaplan, we relied on Excel documents that needed multiple versions and updates. At first, we only used it for financial planning, but we have since expanded it to other solutions as well. Our goal now is to integrate more models into Anaplan, just like the power users I've seen at Anaplan conferences, so that all our data is in one place.
Cons
The initial setup requires significant learning and time. Also the training session lasts several days and still requires additional follow up and communication with the implementation team. Plus it come to my notice that graphs and data visualization are also lacking compared to Tableau or even Excel.

“Simply the best
Pros
The SaaS-based model works really well for finance and supply chain planning. It offers great use cases for both, and when we consider hosting and pricing. So yes without a doubt, it is a solid choice.
Cons
Some of the Enterprise features are limited but the good thing is that most of the required features are available. And as a web based platform I will say it may be difficult for some users accustomed to desktop based reporting initially.

“Not happy!!
Pros
What would I say? The user interface of Anaplan looks like a spreadsheet and that's about it.
Cons
Not at all easy to use. As setting up the model on which the "spreadsheet" runs requires a highly knowledgeable Anaplan partner. Without one you will become a frustrated user.

“Nothing so special about it
Pros
One of the biggest strengths of Anaplan software is how adaptable it is. You can really build almost anything you want with it. Replacing our old Excel models was quite quick as it only took a few hours of ours. On top of that, the vendor is always updating the system with about 3 to 5 upgrades a year. What I really like is that some of my personal requests have made it onto their roadmap and were eventually included in an update. They really listen to their customers and take our feedback into account when deciding what to work on next.
Cons
The metadata management within a single model is excellent and I really love that feature. However, it can get a bit frustrating when you need to share the same metadata across multiple models. Another downside is the vendors pricing model. They start you off with a small workspace, which seems fine at first but it quickly becomes too small as your needs grow. Then, they charge really high fees for every extra GB of space you need, which is definitely not ideal considering what I originally planned for.
