“powerful cloud system with room for improvement
Pros
I am a Software Engineer and I have done a lot of data migrations for our legal clients. What I love about it is that it's completely cloud based and runs on Microsoft Azure. We used to have a ton of issues with old on-premise software and the servers would always crash. But with this tool, that problem is gone. The API is solid and the JSON documentation is really easy to follow. I have even written scripts to connect Neos with other third-party tools. Plus, the NeosAI feature is awesome! It automatically reads long PDFs and imports tags, saving us time since we no longer have to build custom OCR logic. Its a highly scalable system.
Cons
the UI can be a little heavy. When I am using individual "Tabs" for different cases, it sometimes gets slow. Also the Custom Reports builder has been difficult. As a new developer, it'll take some time to figure out how the tables connect. I also wish they offered an easy, free developer sandbox for webhook testing...it does not seem crucial right now but it would be helpful since we can't afford to risk breaking production data.

“Boosted conversions with smooth intake process
Pros
Best thing about it for me is how it handles the Intake Process. I am in business development and my job is to turn leads into clients as quickly as possible. Before... we were using Excel and some outdated software and leads were slipping through the cracks. But with it, the Intake Management is smooth. I really like the automated follow-up feature. We can set up "Drip Campaigns" so that if a client has not signed the retainer yet, they'll get an automatic reminder email or SMS. This has increased our conversions by 25%. The Dashboard is also super helpful, as it lets me track new cases and see which marketing sources are driving the most profit... all on one screen.
Cons
It's important to take your time with data entry. When we are on a call with a client and in a rush, everything gets difficult to speed up. Plus integrating with third-party lead gen tools (like niche legal lead sites) requires custom API work which can get expensive. They should provide more out-of-the-box connectors to Indian or local marketing tools.

“smooth integration but ui needs work
Pros
It is great because it's built entirely on Microsoft Azure. As a Cloud Data Engineer, my job is to move all the old data from law firms into the cloud and it makes this super easy because the backend is rock-solid. The integration and API are also fantastic. We were working on a project for a big client, Mindtree and needed to integrate Neos with Office 365 and custom reporting tools. It went way smoother than I expected. And the new NeosAI features are a lifesaver. Our team used to have to manually tag all the documents but now the AI does it automatically, saving us 10-15 hours a week of IT work.
Cons
Sometimes, if too many tabs are open at once, the UI becomes slow. Also, if you are doing complex data mapping for custom fields, the setup can get a little tricky and takes longer than expected. Customer service is okay but sometimes it takes a while to explain technical questions especially if you are asking something specific about the API.

Pros
I really like the ability to easily use between clients documents. It makes the whole process so much smoother.
Cons
It would be great if all documents could be searched by words within the body of the document.. not just by keywords or titles.

“Estate work simplified but some flexibility lost
Pros
It has been amazing for making estate and trust work more visible. I use it daily to track case notes, client requestsand document submissions. It integrates with our email and file system to make sure everything is stored correctly. it saves time by letting me review progress easily and plan future tasks since all the case history is available.
Cons
I don't like that some workflows in Neos are not very flexible and are hard to modify when unexpected things come up. Adding exceptions or updates can take a few extra steps which slows me down when dealing with pending cases. Multitasking gets difficult during peak seasons and these restrictions can add extra stress that requires more careful planning to avoid delays with clients.

Pros
Organizational features of this system are incredibly useful, especially how it links companion cases together. This functionality makes it so much easier to track related cases and ensures everything is connected in one place.
Cons
labeling system can be weird at times and the tagging features are not always consistent.

Pros
Love this tool for its AI features and easy accessibility which have made my job so much more convenient and time-efficient. I can link my email with it and the AI summarizes my calls, helping me stay on top of tasks. The setup was easy and that made my experience with the software fantastic.

Pros
how well-structured it is...especially with its modern features like client communication through text and email. The ability to subcategorize case files makes it easy to find what I have worked on or saved for later. The client communication tools help me stay in touch with clients easily and keep them happy.
Cons
Calendar can be glitchy sometimes. Updating it and accessing it is not always as easy as other times. It would be great if calendar entries were more easily accessible and viewable by others in my firm.

Cons

Pros
I love that I can use the text feature in it to communicate with clients which means I don't have to be physically in the office. It also works really well for maintaining client files and integrating other apps like HONA or texting. The setup was super simple.
Cons
I wish that when I text clients, I could see which number I am texting from and whether they received the message or not.

Cons
there's a slight learning curve with some of the more complex features. The advanced workflow automation takes some time to get used to. More guided tutorials would make onboarding smoother.

“great tool but new updates add clutter

the features I love most about Neos are its accessibility and ease of use. The tabs, cases, customization, quick note options and the ability to drag and drop files are fantastic. As a first-time user, the learning process was fast and smooth. I use NEOS every day and it helps me juggle multiple tasks like calendar, intake, file uploads and case work all at once. Plus everything is well-integrated and all our clients are smoothly added to our case files.
Cons
I have got to admit that I have not been thrilled with the new updates to the software lately. The updates have added unnecessary tabs and options that clutter the interface. The software is a bit slower now compared to the older versions. Even though it is still powerful, it's just not as good as it used to be. Customer support has not been the most reliable either and I wish there was a quicker way to communicate our concerns.

“very easy to use
Pros
It is so easy to use. I didn't have any prior law firm experience but I picked it up quickly. Everything is organized and the ability to create custom tabs for my law firm is super helpful. The QuickBooks and Case Status integrations make everything much easier to manage.
Cons
theres definitely room for improvement. We sometimes run into issues with merging emails and tagging, but it's not a huge problem.
