“Feels familiar in Excel, great reports and dashboards
Pros
What we like most is how easy and familiar it feels since it's built on Excel. We love how simple it is to build reports and the new dashboards are great. It's also nice to see that Cube is always improving and adding new features.
Cons
The initial setup was a bit tricky since our software didn't connect directly but it all worked out in the end. I do think it's a bit pricey though it seems to be in line with or cheaper than the big competitors.

“Quick setup with flexible data pulls
Pros
Cube is really quick to set up and offers a lot of flexibility for pulling together data from different sources thanks to its integration with Excel and Google Sheets. It makes creating templates for our regular financial reports really simple. The customer support is also usually very responsive and helpful.
Cons
We could never get the automatic data sync with NetSuite to work so we're stuck doing a manual upload every month. It's also missing some key features for a larger company like a dedicated headcount planning module or more efficient forecasting tools, to be a true end-to-end FP&A platform.

“powerful ERP links
Pros
There's a lot to love about Cube! First the implementation support was excellent, the technical advisors were incredibly knowledgeable and had a solution for every complex request we threw at them. Second the fact that it slots right into our existing Excel forecasting models and reports made it the perfect fit for our business. Finally the data integration is both powerful and easy to use.. it's the most powerful connection between an FP&A system and our ERP for actuals data that I've ever seen.
Cons
Pulling the data is fast and accurate but it takes a lot of formatting to make it presentable especially for people outside of Finance. For instance it shows all the parent and child account details in a single column instead of a nice table format like an Excel PivotTable. I haven't tried the dashboards in the web portal yet which might be better but since our company uses Excel daily, improvements to the Excel add-on would be really helpful.

“Most reliable FP&A tool I've used
Pros
In all my experience with FP&A tools, Cube has been the most reliable and flexible by far. I liked it so much that when I switched jobs, I decided to implement it again at my new company. I use it daily and the support team is always available when I need them.
Cons
For a bigger business, the limited number of admin licenses can feel a bit restrictive.

“fast implementation but data fetches could be quicker
Pros
Implementation was quick and easy. The customized templates are fantastic and very flexible. It's helped us automate and streamline a lot of our old manual processes.
Cons
The processing speed could be a little better especially when we're running our regular data pulls.

“Smooth transition!
Pros
We experienced a fast implementation with a small learning curve. Our team was initially hesitant about moving from a more powerful financial tool back to sheets but the transition was smooth and it actually improved the reliability and speed of our reporting.
Cons
It would be great if Cube had a stronger headcount planning tool. We're small enough that managing it in Excel is okay for now but I can see that becoming a real headache as we grow.

The setup was simple and the customer service is excellent.
Cons
The connector between Cube and NetSuite is very buggy. It failed to sync the data after every single upload. You also need an additional add-on for any large data sets which is a hassle.

“Makes FP&A work efficient
Pros
Cube has made our day-to-day FP&A work much more efficient and customizable. We've dramatically cut down the time it takes to prepare our recurring reports. It's highly versatile in both Google Sheets and Excel which really helps us enhance our FP&A deliverables.
Cons
we've had a few problems with reports being incomplete or inaccurate. There were multiple times where the integration with our accounting system broke, making Cube unusable. The support team is very responsive but sometimes it takes days to resolve these issues.

Pros
I love how simple it is to update my reports and presentation slides using Cube. The customer service team has also been incredibly responsive which I really appreciate.
Cons
At first it was hard to grasp what Cube was doing because there weren't many data visualization tools to help.

It's very easy to use. The integration with Netsuite and the Excel add-on are both simple and easy.
Cons
The integration isn't fully automated.. any time we add or change something in our chart of accounts, we have to do it manually. Customer service was excellent at the start but has gotten slower to respond.

“Perfect for mid-size FP&A with fast data pulls
Pros
This tool is very user-friendly as you don't need much training or technical knowledge to get started. It's the perfect tool for a mid-size company's FP&A department because it lets you drill down into the finest details while still maintaining the high-level view executives need. The most impressive part is how it can fetch huge amounts of data in seconds. Recent enhancements like the option to 'remove 0 rows from results,' are a major plus for pulling only the relevant data.
Cons
Only shortcoming I can think of is that it's limited to 8 top-line dimensions. You can bring in as many attributes as you want but I'd really like them to increase that to 10. Also having the ability for cross-level interaction between multiple cubes would be a huge plus once it's implemented.

“Great for automating monthly reports
Pros
Cube has been great for automating our FP&A tasks like our monthly actuals vs. budget reporting. It also makes it easy to create Excel templates for tracking and monitoring KPIs.
Cons
Since Cube is based on Excel templates, it can take extra work to create various ad-hoc reports and double-check that all the formulas and links are correct.

Pros
I think its easy to use once you get the hang of it. I love that we can pull any information we need since most of our data lives in Cube. The system integration was also very easy. I primarily use it for the month-end close and haven't run into any problems so far.
Cons
It took a few tries to fully understand and use it easily but once you get the hang of it you can do almost anything. Our Cube support rep is very helpful and quick to jump on any questions we have.

“easiest FP&A system by far for solo users
Pros
It's simply the easiest FP&A system to use. I've evaluated and implemented three other systems at previous companies and this one beats them all by a long shot. As a one-person team, the ease of use saves me a tremendous amount of time.
Cons
Nothing. They're always releasing new and better features often improving aspects I never even thought about.
