“top notch!!”
Pros
It works really well as a place to store your project and go back to review it whenever needed.
Cons
Connecting it with other tools like Jira and Jenkins takes more effort than it should.

“Offers great results”
Pros
This tool is a huge part of how I manage development work because it lets me track changes, collaborate with other people and get to my code from anywhere. Everything feels much more organized and creating separate branches makes it practical to test and roll out new features without touching the main codebase. The connection with tools such as Visual Studio Code improved the whole workflow even more and the massive developer community on it has been incredibly useful whenever I need to troubleshoot something or learn by looking at other people's code. At this point, it's an essential part of my development process.
Cons
It does have a downside and for me it's mostly the learning curve. New users can easily feel overwhelmed trying to understand all the features and how the platform works and it takes a while to make full use of everything it offers. The interface also feels somewhat cluttered at times so finding the right options is not always as simple as it could be. On larger projects with a lot of contributors, it can also become challenging to stay on top of everything happening and avoid merge conflicts.

“Community is good”
Pros
One of the best parts of using it is the massive developer community on the platform. The interface looks really good which is something I genuinely enjoy. There's also a huge range of open-source projects available and getting involved in them as a contributor is pretty simple. Also, it offers helpful tutorials when you need guidance on things like commits, pull requests and similar processes. It fits smoothly into the way I handle my projects and works really well with my overall workflow.
Cons
To be honest, most users probably won't have much to complain about because even the free plan comes with plenty of useful features. That said some people may still find its paid plans a bit expensive. Another thing to consider is that using it means balancing between keeping your project resources hosted locally or making them available publicly. In the end, that really depends on your own preference and needs.

“open-source with powerful prioritization”
Pros
Being able to manage projects based on priority is something I really appreciate. It's also awesome to look through how certain research has been implemented in different programming languages. Also, the fact that the platform is open source makes it even more appealing.
Cons
Project deployment between the software and local computers still feels like it could be improved and made more simple. At the moment, I feel like I need to review the code every single time before I can push an update to it.

Pros
A lot of its features are available for free and the platform is simple to use. It also makes managing just about any project very convenient.
Cons
As a developer, it feels like a complete tool to me so I honestly don't see any real disadvantages.

Coming from BB, switching to it has been a really enjoyable change. I've been having a good time using it both for work and for studying.

“Awesome tool”
Pros
It has been an excellent platform for collaborating on code, handling version control and releasing software. The interface is clear and simple to navigate so even newer developers can start using it without much trouble. Adding GitHub Actions has cut our costs quite a bit and helped speed up deployments. I also appreciate the contributor settings in private repositories since they make it possible to code with friends and teammates without exposing the work publicly.
Cons
It does offer both private and public contribution overviews which helps people get recognition for their work. That said, the number of Actions available in the marketplace still feels somewhat limited. Team structure and the way repositories get assigned can also be confusing at times. One improvement I'd suggest is showing the code before and after review comments on the same screen where the comment is made. The newer security policy that no longer allows passwords when pulling a repository also ended up confusing newer developers.

“flexible integrations and project hosting”
Pros
It combines code hosting with project management in one place. The platform comes with a wide range of features and also connects well with outside services like chat tools, project tracking and control software and sharing options.
Cons
A concern is the security of the data flow. Exchanges really need stronger protection, with the highest level of security possible for both data transfer and storage.

“Incredible code management tools”
Pros
Getting started with it feels very simple. It helps organize code neatly by creating different folders and the drag-and-drop feature makes handling files convenient. Repository cloning is simple as well and having the option to keep work public or private adds useful flexibility.
Cons
Private data cannot really be stored unless the user pays for private folder access. Without that, uploaded documents remain visible to everyone which can be a concern for sensitive work.

“Language support is great”
Pros
Being able to test pull requests before merging is one of the most valuable parts for me and the broad support for different programming languages and development tools is definitely among the features I appreciate the most.
Cons
When several people are working on the same file especially in larger projects, it can become problematic quite often and really needs improvement. The GUI could also use some work since it feels noticeably slower than it should.

“fantastic for open-source teamwork”
Pros
Using it feels pretty simple and sharing code files with others has never been a concern for us. With the pro membership, features like creating private repositories are available which adds a lot of value. It is also one of the best places for contributing to open-source projects. We also built a pipeline architecture around it that helps with deploying applications and the large community support makes things even better.
Cons
This tool works very well as a collaboration tool so I really do not have any major complaints. The only issue is that merge conflicts can sometimes create a lot of confusion and mess. It is also important to remember to pull the latest code before pushing, otherwise problems can come up.

“collaboration and version control win”
Pros
Working with it has been really helpful for collaborating on projects with other students and developers and it gives me a simple way to share code and keep track of every revision. It also does a really good job when it comes to backing up code, managing projects and handling version control.
Cons
Back when I was first introduced to it as a CS student, the platform felt pretty confusing and harder to navigate than I expected. It definitely asks for a certain level of technical knowledge before beginners can use it comfortably although I adjusted over time and now use it regularly and actively manage repositories.
