“Total game changer

Pros

After four years of searching, testing and being disappointed by every so called �top tier� project management platform out there, I can confidently say that JobTread's Open API is in a league of its own. Nothing even comes close. The transparency, communication and real-time access to critical business data that JobTread offers has completely transformed how we operate. Finally I have full visibility into our pipeline, projects, budgets, schedules and financials that too all in one place and fully customizable, thanks to their robust API. Unlike other platforms that claim to be �open,� and it actually delivers. Their documentation is solid, the integration potential is limitless and their support team is responsive and developer friendly. We're now automating everything from lead tracking and approvals to forecasting and reporting, its all based on live data. Having used (and outgrown) tools like Buildertrend and Jobber and reviewed hundreds of options, ERPs and industry-specific tools. I can confidently say they're either closed off, clunky, or inflexible. With this software, we finally have a modern, scalable platform built for the real world. This isn't just software� it's a control center for running our business intelligently. If you are serious about growth, this is the one tool that can actually grow with you. I'm a lifer.

After a painful experience with my systems, costly revamps, extensive research and testing, it took me too long to find it. Now I can confidently say there is only one clear winner.

The amount of detail available for projects makes managing multiple jobs at once much easier.

It is somewhat difficult to learn to use all the features. The software is a bit complicated.

The pace was too fast. There is a lot to cover. Hopefully it can be tailored so that after attending the bootcamp, you can start using the software immediately.

It's incredibly thorough. I can't find any area of construction management that it doesn't cover.

Its learning curve is quite steep compared to the last project management software we used, mainly because this one is all encompassing.

Instantly one of the best software firms I have ever had the pleasure of working with. As an independent construction contractor for 15 years, I have used several management and accounting platforms and I can say without hesitation that JobTread is by far the most capable, nimble, clever and tightly designed platform I have ever used. This is made even more powerful thanks to JobTread's thorough onboarding training and remarkably accessible customer support.

There are some limitations in functionality but they are super niche and the list keeps getting smaller with every update.

The speed and ease of creating and editing project budgets and proposals is what i like the most. The platform is incredibly intuitive, easy to implement and has top notch customer support. We use this platform daily for everything project management related: budgets, proposals, contracts, change orders, scheduling, invoicing, document storage and communications with clients and trade partners. Moving from Co Construct and Buildertrend was a breeze with the help of our project success manager.

Cons

JobTread is designed for contractors who use cost plus or time and material contracts, not fixed price contracts. As a design-build contractor working solely with fixed price contracts, we do face limitations in how we can receive client approvals for selections during the project development phase through the built in workflow. This is especially true without using the usual forms of selections and allowances typically used for cost-plus contracts. However we have found workarounds on the platform that meet our needs.

Their customer service is AMAZING. I never feel pushed to upgrade anything and they are always so helpful.

There are not enough customization options. More options would help cater to individual businesses and their specific needs.
