“Planning to use OnPlan
Pros
It is an excellent solution for financial problems and significantly contributes to improving a company's processes. It is generally easy to comprehend right from the start.
Cons
The software could be more intuitive, reducing the need for frequent direct support. It becomes more complex after prolonged use.

“Software with minimum features and maximum claims
Pros
The salesperson did a commendable job selling a product that was not worthy of my time and investment. Not happy at all!
Cons
The calculations and updates were slow due to multiple sheets in the Google Sheets file. Each change took about 1 to 2 minutes to reflect which causes delays. Replicating my existing Excel files took 6 months, but still they didn't flow properly. This made scenario planning impossible. Despite paying a good amount for a budgeting tool, I couldn't use it even after 6 months. If you have Sage Intacct, note that OnPlan is not a partner, and there will be an additional fee from Intacct to integrate with OnPlan. Their team attempted different ways to connect, but it was mostly trial and error. They lacked familiarity with Sage Intacct. Their team acknowledged accountability for delays on their end, citing various factors and issues with understanding my needs, system problems, and integration challenges.

“Excellent Variance Analysis
Pros
OnPlan's ability to rapidly generate budget versus actuals surpasses any other CPM software I have used. The user interface is sleek and modern, providing a significant upgrade over Adaptive Planning. Furthermore, the seamless integration with Quickbooks online is a major advantage.
Cons
The connection to Google Slides had some rough edges.

“Great Product with a Lot of Potential
Pros
As our company evolves and grows, it has become very important to forecast sales, profit and cash flow. We were using Planning Maestro, which is a robust product, but customizing it to meet our specific needs was not easy at all. On the other hand the OnPlan team quickly understood our requirements and developed a "custom" model that we now use daily for forecasting sales, revenue, cash flow and to make strategic decisions. The model is both robust and adaptable which allows us to make changes ourselves when necessary. Generating management reports and KPIs with OnPlan is also unproblematic. Moreover the built-in reporting functionality is excellent, and they have also made exporting to Excel seamless for further manipulation and reporting. After using the product for some time, we see immense potential in it. The team has been open to our feedback and has implemented changes to the core product based on our requests.
Cons
While the reporting and charting capabilities are robust and suitable for general management reporting, it could benefit from functionality similar to Power BI (or an equivalent in Google). However, having gotten to know the team, I am confident that they will continue to grow and enhance the product. I am eager to see what they have in store.

“Next level forecasting
Pros
There are several key features that stand out for me, such as the capability to swiftly run numerous scenarios and compare them with others. Secondly importing actuals and examining transaction-level details from Quickbooks. Lastly the option to structure the model according to my preferences rather than being confined to specific templates.
Cons
The OnPlan team consistently rolls out new features. One feature I would like to see is improved summary tables in dashboards. I expressed this to the team and they are currently in the process of implementing these improvements. This is one of the advantages of working with a new and enthusiastic company.

“This is a "must have" piece of software for any one using spreadsheets
Pros
The OnPlan interface easily and excellently resolves the most frustrating issues we face with spreadsheets. It offers the best of both worlds: the flexibility of spreadsheets without the major pains. Unlike other systems that limit or complicate financial reporting and modeling configurations, OnPlan allows us to tailor the data precisely to meet our clients evolving business needs. Our clients no longer have to delve into the intricacies of our spreadsheets unless they choose to do so. Consequently, we can assist our clients in seamlessly integrating finance into their decision-making processes. By utilizing OnPlan, they gain clearer visibility into their actual financial performance and can independently run multiple forward-looking scenarios.
Cons
Like any new software, OnPlan is rapidly evolving and continuously improving. As a result, not all functionalities have been fully developed yet. However, we highly value the dedication of OnPlan's service team, as they help us achieve the desired results for our clients, even when some of our requests are still on OnPlan's development roadmap.

“Great Tool for Rapid Implementation
Pros
OnPlan sets a new standard for implementation ease and speed in delivering value. I was part of a team that implemented OnPlan for a division in a well-known SaaS company. What sets OnPlan apart is its ability to seamlessly ingest existing Excel financial models without requiring changes to the logic. Our implementation time was only three weeks from start to finish, compared to the typical six months for heavier ERP systems.
Cons
While there are a couple of UX/UI aspects that could be improved, the software as a whole is nicely designed.

“Starting off to use
Pros
The entire customer support team have been fantastic in developing this solution for automated spreadsheets on the go, as well as providing CFO-like resources on a dashboard. I am excited to use this prominently as our company continues to grow, making the CEO's life significantly easier as planned. Updating spreadsheets, even with a static template, is something I dislike. With this dynamic solution, we can expect greater efficiency.
Cons
It's still too early to make an accurate assessment as we will be using it more regularly in the coming weeks.

“OnPlan is a flexible tool to setup Budgets, Forecasts and What-if Scenarios
Pros
After researching various tools like Adaptive Planning and Vena, our team opted for OnPlan. We were very much impressed by its compatibility with Excel and Google Sheets. OnPlan's integrate with Quickbooks and Hubspot well and never cause any issue in audit trail, version control, access control and scenario planning as these are the areas where in the past we have had limitations with Excel. Additionally, we were highly satisfied with OnPlan's customer support and their responsiveness.
Cons
There was a slight learning curve with OnPlan, but most of it resembles the familiarity of Google Sheets and Excel. Once you become familiar with the platform, reporting becomes much easier.

“Game Changer - Easily See the Future
Pros
The data visualizations in OnPlan are exceptional. Modifying a few revenue or expense variables instantly reveals the impact on key metrics. The model ensures the accuracy of analytics which eliminates concerns about hidden Excel cells in older models that could disrupt the entire process.
Cons
I often lack the time or skills to make changes to my model, so I occasionally rely on OnPlan's staff for adjustments. Thankfully, their staff is highly knowledgeable about SaaS financials and metrics, and they quickly assist me in everything.

“Robust Financial Reporting Platform
Pros
Right from the beginning, the OnPlan team assigned us a skilled staff member who rightly assisted us in setting up QuickBooks. Onplan seamlessly integrated our financial reporting with our CRM platforms (Hubspot) and GUSTO (Payroll). The platform easily connected to our Google Sheet and Excel models which empowers us to take charge of our financial planning, analysis and reporting. With OnPlan, we could promptly provide accurate monthly reports and stunning dashboards to our investors, establishing a robust financial infrastructure in one centralized location.
Cons
Overall, I would rate the product as 5-star AA+, as the OnPlan team promptly implemented the formatting features we requested.

“Creative Agency Usage
Pros
We were introduced to OnPlan through another agency, and we were impressed by its remarkable flexibility. It allowed us to model various revenue and cash flow scenarios. The configuration options were the best, allowing us to create custom dashboards for key areas such as Global KPIs, Revenue, Sales, Expenses, Staffing/Headcount requirements, Cash Dynamics and Benchmarks. The platform seamlessly imported data from accounting platforms like QuickBooks and Xero, CRM data from Salesforce and Hubspot, as well as our own data sources and custom models. These features provided us with comprehensive insights into different perspectives and potential outcomes.
Cons
The software offers a wide range of functionality, which can be overwhelming for someone like me who isn't a CFO. However, the time invested in learning the functionality is definitely worthwhile.

“Great product for Financial Modeling compared to legacy Excel docs
Pros
I like the ability to import our monthly financials from Xero and utilize the various tools for scenario forecasting. Presenting "what-if" scenarios to company stakeholders is also easy. For instance, we can showcase the impact of growing 6% MoM compared to a profitable model or a 15% MoM growth model that may not be profitable. In addition, inputting information is much simpler compared to a traditional Excel spreadsheet.
Cons
There are some upcoming integrations that I find interesting, but so far I haven't encountered any significant issues.

“Fantastic financial planning product - no need for expensive CFOs
Pros
Prior to OnPlan, smaller companies like mine would have to hire an outsourced CFO for $10 to 20k to develop a model. Considering that their models were typically off-the-shelf solutions, the price seemed very high, but we had no other alternatives. The good thing is that OnPlan resolved this problem and allow me to manage and manipulate my own financial planning model without relying on a CFO or financial expert.
Cons
While OnPlan greatly simplifies managing my financial plan, particularly compared to other alternatives, however I would still like it to be even more user-friendly.
