Pros
PM3 is quite simple and intuitive tool that allows us to start working quickly. We can customize its functionality based on our needs and the availability of pre built reports saves us a lot of time. The high quality reports can be easily emailed, which is a great time-saver. The instructional videos provided by the team are helpful, and their quick responses to any queries are highly appreciated.
Cons
We have been using PM3 for about two months and we haven't come across any cons yet. We are currently exploring how to utilize it for managing IT and line of business projects.

“PM3 PPM Tool
Pros
Since PM3 moved to a new cloud based version, it has become even more intuitive for users like me. As an administrator I can make real time setting amendments that apply to all users. The tools flexibility allows us to customize fields according to our business needs. The portfolio structure enables easy slicing of information captured by project managers, facilitating immediate or scheduled reporting.
Cons
When planning how to report, it is necessary to consider the structure within the tool which includes three levels. This structure works well for a Project > Program > Portfolio setup but requires adjustments if you need to capture detailed information around workstreams. However there are workarounds within the tool that allow it to function effectively by shifting everything up a level or considering the reporting levels when structuring tiers.

“A great tool for Project Management & PMO in day-to-day operations and strategic management
Pros
PM3 eliminates the need for building Excel or spreadsheet based PMO tools, saving valuable resources. It easily adapts to our local policies and procedures in the public sector (NHS) and serves as a catalyst for broader discussions, benefiting our organization's change and PPM efforts, especially when MS Project is unnecessary.
Cons
Some of the default tab and field names may not be immediately intuitive but it's not a major issue since localization is simple.

“PM3
Pros
PM3 is highly intuitive and well designed, offering all the expected features of a PPM tool with enhanced flexibility in reporting and dashboards.
Cons
The latest version of the software has seen some interface improvements but it still requires further enhancements to match up with competitors. Once you become familiar with the product, it becomes less of an issue.

“Great intuitive tool.Enables us to drive best practice and consistency across the portfolio.
Pros
PM3 is an excellent intuitive tool that promotes best practices and consistency across our portfolio. It serves as our single source of truth for change management. It empowers our project and program management teams while providing timely status reporting to stakeholders. The wide range of "out of the box" reports surpasses other project management tools I've used. The built in governance features align seamlessly with our project governance framework, ensuring project control. Working with the Bestoutcome team has been a pleasure, as they bring practical PPM and technical expertise. Their support during the PM3 cloud upgrade, user onboarding, and ongoing embedding has been invaluable. PM3 is a versatile tool suitable for any organization, regardless of maturity.
Cons
Plan lock is a common problem when users end their session. Bestoutcome has implemented a flag that notifies the user about the locked plan and its owner. Despite training and reminders some users forget to handle this correctly. It would be helpful to have a message appear when exiting the session or logging out of the tool, reminding users to properly log out.

“PM3 for Project Management
Pros
PM3 software enables effective and efficient project management. Its tools are user friendly and accessible both in the office and on the go. Once project details and timescales are entered, PM3 keeps us on track while allowing flexibility based on our preferred working style. It provides transparent progress tracking of timescales, risks and issues. The decision making log is also useful.
Cons
I can't think of any real areas for improvement as the system is intuitive and effectively captures project information.

“The support to get the users up and running excellent. The company know the value of embedding
Pros
The logical layout of the system makes it easy to navigate. PM3 combines all the necessary facets of portfolio management in one place without being overly complicated. I like the video tutorials, definition description page, action log, reporting and the ability to notify stakeholders of pending actions. There are many other great features in the software, and it fulfills a long-awaited need.
Cons
There are a few minor issues such as entering tasks on the Gantt chart where you can sometimes get a bit lost. Remembering to save or refresh can also catch you off guard. As a new user I am still getting accustomed to reporting on larger projects.

“In my opinion, the best cloud-based PMO and change management platform in the market today
Pros
From the initial discussions and demonstrations it was evident that PM3 was a great portfolio, program and project management software platform. we could quickly set up, configure, and use it effectively. Its configurability allowed us to tailor it to our specific requirements. Working with the Bestoutcome team was seamless and their expertise in the health and social care sector greatly supported our implementation. PM3 offers competitive pricing, ease of use, comprehensive reporting, and the option to integrate with BI tools like PowerBI. We received thorough training, both initially and for service improvement change champions and administrators. Overall, the purchase and implementation process was simple and trouble-free.
Cons
We recently completed the initial training and have started uploading our change programs. So far we haven't encountered any negative aspects of the software.

“Have used PM3 before in another organisation. The upgraded package is excellent
Pros
PM3 provides a centralized platform that allows our PMO to monitor all relevant information in one place, identifying potential problems and their impact on other projects. Its ease of use ensures that project managers actively utilize the system and reports can be easily emailed to promote accountability. We frequently discuss progress in meetings using PM3, facilitating live discussions. It would be incredible to extend its usage across systems.
Cons
It would be beneficial to have stakeholder management and communication features as an addition. We feel that we haven't fully utilized the systems capabilities yet. While we understand that this is a commercial product with reasonable costs, we need to carefully consider the number of licenses we can afford to continue with.

“Since its introduction, PM3 has greatly improved our company's ability to track project progress
Pros
PM3s have all the up to date project information in one place. Also it has significantly improved accountability for tasks, milestones and work packages. It has also improved communication between project managers and administrators, enabling better tracking of project progress. The new Resource Tracker feature allows us to track availability versus demand and allocate personnel accordingly, implementing necessary mitigating actions.
Cons
There are limitations when it comes to changing workflow dates. The software hasn't entirely replaced the need for Microsoft Office tools like Excel and Project. We are not always informed about server upgrades or system updates. It can be challenging for project managers to remember certain user functionalities if they haven't logged into the system for a while after completing previous projects, which may require re-training.
