“software that delivers”
Pros
Salsify covers pretty much everything I need from a PIM/DAM platform. The interface is very user-friendly and it's also flexible enough to customize to different workflows.
Cons
One limitation I ran into was with the catalog features. It felt a little restricted because digital assets couldn't be included in a catalog unless they were tied to a product.

“Helpful bulk import features”
Pros
Being able to bulk import items and connect them to our own identification numbers has been really useful.
Cons
I noticed that guidance on how to usethe programis not very clear, so it's hard to understand at first. It really helps to have someone walk you through it before getting started.

“powerful content hub :)”
Pros
It does an impressive job of handling our large volume of content management across multiple vendors in one complete solution. The customer support during training and onboarding was excellent as well which helped us get everything set up and running quickly.
Cons
There really is not much to complain about withthis platform. It takes a little time to get used to at first but that is pretty much expected.

“costly and weak service”
Pros
Salsify does have potential and fits the PIM use case fairly well especially with its off the shelf approach.
Cons
To me the biggest problem has been the vendor's very poor service. Even starting a conversation or getting a quote can take months. The initial setup they handled was done incorrectly, yet they didn't take responsibility, so we ended up redoing everything at our own expense. On top of that even very minor new requests come with high costs and unpredictable delivery times which has caused serious business difficulties. The DAM-related features also feel very limited.

“great content across channels”
Pros
There is a huge amount of flexibility in the content management side, from bringing data in to sending it out across different channels.
Cons
Itsprice is probably the biggest drawback. Even though it's better than many competing options, the cost could still make it harder to justify or move forward with.

“Easy asset management hub”
Pros
Managing assets in Salsify is very easy and the platform is much more user friendly in that area than many others I have used. One thing I'd recommend is considering Salsify as your main data and asset management system, not just as an aggregator or syndication tool.
Cons
The source-side channel integration really depends on the quality and setup of your existing data sources. If you are pulling from multiple systems, consolidating everything can become pretty complex.

“All one complete PIM!”
Pros
Compared with the other Product Information Management platforms we looked at, Salsify was the one that covered everything we needed. We can bulk update products and their attributes in a few different ways which saves a lot of time. It also gives us a lot of flexibility in how we organize our product catalog. The calculated properties are a big part of our workflow and they're easy to create and use. On top of that the import and export tools are excellent.
Cons
That said you end up relying on the import/export tools far more than the built-in editors. Updating a product's information can take 3 to 4 clicks and 2 to 3 page loads or else you're stuck doing a full export edit import cycle. Also the interface is dated, navigation is slow and some areas are not very easy to use. The rich text editors are missing basic text formatting features. Support is also slow, usually taking 2 to 3 days to get back to us. The onboarding process was tedious, packed with meetings and unnecessary bureaucracy. On top of thatthe platformrequires a third party consulting firm for onboarding and that cost is not included in the already expensive price which in our case meant an extra $16k.

“Simplifies ecommerce product updates”
Pros
Across eCommerce platforms, There is usually a lot of repeated copy and imagery to manage. Salsify makes those updates much simpler to handle.
Cons
Getting everything set up is pretty challenging and can take quite a bit of time. Still, I do think the effort pays off in the end.

“Centralized digital catalogs work”
Pros
Digital Catalogs have been a huge asset for us and work really efficiently when dealing with multiple clients. The on-demand image manipulation is fantastic and having all of our images and data centralized in one place has been incredibly valuable. The interface is excellent and the support team is responsive and genuinely helpful whenever we need them.
Cons
There is a bit of a learning curve especially for some users. If our team weren't as comfortable with technology, I think we probably would have faced more challenges at the start. That said, once people get familiar with it, things run well. The pricing can feel high if you're not taking full advantage of everythingthe platformoffers, so it's important to make sure it's the right fit for your business before committing. In our case, it has been worth the cost because we fully use the services we're paying for.

“allows direct customer product export”
Pros
One of the biggest advantages is being able to submit products or export product import sheets to send directly to customers. That really helps when uploading new items and updating existing products, making the whole process much more manageable.
Cons
A downside is that not every connection works through a direct API, so we still have to export the uploads and send them to customers ourselves. Having more direct connections would make adding new products a lot more convenient.

“Best syndication platform”
Pros
After working with a lot of content syndication platforms over the years, Salsify stands far above the rest. It integrates with all the major retailers and the team clearly stays close to customers when building new functionality which makes the product feel modern and ahead of where ecommerce is going.
Cons
Few of the features created earlier on haven't seen much recent improvement because the company's attention has moved elsewhere. Also, quite a few tasks still require reaching out to support. That may work well for some users but as a power user, I'd prefer to manage more of it on my own.

“Organizes large product catalogs well”
Pros
Keeping a large product catalog organized is where this really shines. It does a very good job of categorizing and classifying lots of products, so information is quick to access when needed. The search function is convenient and it's also really useful for uploading images and storing extra product details all in one place.
Cons
Where it falls short is exporting that information into clear, polished marketing documents. The formatting tends to break when There is too much text, so the final output is not always visually appealing or correct. We rely onthis platformas the central place for all product information and hoped sales teams could simply pull documents without needing to make edits but that has not consistently been the case.

“Analyze readiness spots gaps”
Pros
We rely on Salsify to upload, update and manage our Ebags setup and the standout feature for me is Analyze Readiness. It makes it really simple to spot any missing information and fix those gaps right away.
Cons
I honestly don't have any complaints as this softwarehas been working perfectly for our team.

“reliable process simplifier”
Pros
Using Salsify felt very easy and it helped simplify a lot of business processes that would usually be a bit more complicated. It made those tasks feel much more seamless overall.
Cons
The pricing felt slightly high compared to the value I was getting from it, although it wasn't a major issue for me.
