Simple project and task manager with inbuild time tracking

Pros

Their UI may have an old-school vibe, but its built-in time tracking feature is a game-changer for me. It is a simple yet powerful project manager that perfectly suits my needs. The workflow is refreshingly straightforward, with tasks organized neatly with titles, descriptions, and checklists.

Cons

Sometimes autosave fails to reach the server, resulting in lost documents. The timer also occasionally malfunctions, continuing to run even after clicking stop.

Nice project task manager but average billing features.

Pros

I have been using todo.vu for a while now to manage both my projects and daily tasks. While it's been effective for time tracking and project management, the billing features are fairly average.

Cons

The setup process is lengthy, but a better getting started wizard could streamline it. A calendar view of tasks is essential for visualizing past work and noting updates.

Pros

Getting started with this tool was a breeze, and I quickly got the hang of it. Setting up only took a couple of minutes, and after spending about four hours mastering its features, I found it to be quite rewarding, even financially. Tracking my client time was a cinch, taking less than an hour to set up and start monitoring.

Cons

I find the start and stop times confusing.

Hangs Up when creating "my First Workspace"

Overall great piece of software allowing us to track our department's productivity

Pros

Managing billing and generating monthly reports for our financial director has never been easier. I appreciate the option to manually add time if needed and the clear navigation from client to project to project tasks. It's a boon for our team of seven, especially as remote workers.

Cons

In-house tasks do not appear in the billing area, making it tricky to include them in our monthly reports. Currently, I have to add them manually. However, the developers are working on adding this feature. Customer service is excellent and feels personalized; they value feedback, which is helpful.

I use the software at work and also at home.

Pros

todo.vu offers a great set of features at a fair price, and I find it incredibly intuitive and user-friendly. It is quickly become one of my favorites.

Cons

Maybe the limitation of displaying only a short list of tasks at a time. Sometimes I have numerous tasks both at home and work, and I want to see them all.

ToDo is Fantastic!

Pros

The built-in time tracking feature, conveniently located alongside tasks, is simply fantastic! It is helped us capture more billable time and prevents smaller increments from slipping through the cracks.

Cons

Unfortunately, we've had to find workarounds for repeating tasks and adjust plans for clients, but it is a minor setback compared to the system's overall benefits.

Recent convert to ToDo.vu and we love it!

Pros

The UI and usability of this software are outstanding. I love how easy it is to search for tasks and the spam-free setup for emails. The reporting functions are impressive, and the integrated billing could be a game-changer for streamlining our processes. Plus, the customer support is top-notch!

Cons

Some features are missing, but I believe it is because the software is still relatively new. However, the support is exceptional, and they actively listen to their customers, implementing necessary features.

An average and cost effective todo management for users

Pros

todo.vu is perfect for managing small projects and tasks. The pricing is reasonable, and having a free option to try out is a definite plus.

Cons

The UI feels outdated, and the UX is somewhat lacking, not giving the feel of a modern app. Plus, the absence of a mobile application is a significant drawback nowadays.

Best overall planning/time tracking tool with billing feature I have tried.

Pros

One standout feature of todo.vu for me is the Time tab, which visually represents time spent on projects. It's incredibly intuitive and unmatched by any other tool I have tried.

Cons

During the initial setup, I was confused when the projects I entered took some time to show up in the tool, resulting in duplicates. Navigating as a first-time user was more complex than with other tools, hence the 4-star rating for ease-of-use. They achieve a 5-star ease-of-use for daily activities once everything is set up.

Pros

Cool Task management

Pros

I love this young app which serves many functions and is growing fast

Pros

This tool truly does it all: project and task management, time tracking, CRM, collaboration, and billing. It's easy to use and understand, and the CEO's hands-on approach to support is commendable.

Cons

There is not much to dislike, although I wish there was an iPhone version. The CEO has mentioned it is in development. Also, the timer does not trigger automatically during inactivity, but this is on the roadmap.

Great idea . . . needs some tweaking

Pros

I appreciate the ability to break down projects into smaller parts and the effective use of color coding. While it took some tweaking to fit my preferences, the overall experience has been positive.

Cons

It is not intuitive at all. The Edit Timer function could be simplified, and having to click multiple times to view the full list of tasks is inconvenient. A redesign of the screens would be welcome, as it feels cluttered to me and took a while to fully understand.
