Vantagepoint as a tool for marketing

Pros

Vantagepoint is an excellent tool for me to keep tabs on project data for marketing.

Cons

Some of the processes I go through to download information reports are not very intuitive.

Timesheet Review Process

Pros

I think the software is easy to use. The learning curve was short to get started, and it doesn't seem to have many, if any, major issues.

Cons

The apperance and feel of software is a bit difficult to get used to and when I use timesheets, they do not fit in one window, so I have to scroll side to side to see all columns.

Vantagepoint for Project Accounting

Pros

I consider the project view helpful in analyzing the financials of a project.

Cons

I find the financial accounting features to be rather clunky, and I believe they require a significant amount of improvement to meet the needs of users more effectively.

Not worth the upgrade

Pros

In my opinion, the process of sending hyperlinks for specific records to my colleagues is significantly more convenient and efficient compared to having them manually search for the information themselves.

Cons

The overall interface is difficult for me to navigate because the fields tend to blur together and nothing really stands out, and the auto-save 'feature' actually increased the amount of clicks necessary for me to complete my everyday workflows.

Easy to Use Software from an End-User Perspective

Pros

As an end-user, I regard Deltek as simple software to use for entering and submitting my timesheets and expenses.

Cons

One feature I think could be improved is the layout of the expense platform, it would be nice if I could upload multiple expenses at once, and on occasion, I've had difficulty uploading receipts to the platform.

Cloud based tool for an insight into projects

Pros

In my experience, it offers project status analyses in terms of project financials and performance.

Cons

I have not noticed anything so far, and I find this is generally a powerful tool for my project planning, budgeting, and management.

Timesheeting tool

Pros

I can keep track of a project in every aspect, such as status, budgets, and revenue. This tool synthesizes a lot of information in one place.

Cons

As an endpoint user (I am not an accountant), I find there are just a lot, sometimes too many, functionalities, and I realize some proper training on how to use them may be needed, and a routine of tracking, say weekly, can really help me capitalize on the benefits of the software.

Great evolution of product

Pros

I appreciate the cross-platform functionality, look and feel, integration of hubs, and the 'everything in one place' approach.

Cons

I can't yet sort timesheets, I'm missing the "pin the phases" in projects we used to have, and it's harder for me to look through certain features because they're all one rather than tabs.

Deltek for the 21st century

Pros

It seems to me that all industry/inter-agency needs are met as far as fields of entry.

Cons

I find it VERY un-user-friendly, and it still looks like it was designed in the early 90s, and it only works on PCs.

Not the most user friendly

Pros

The timesheet function took me a while to get the hang of due to my company's setup, but it is not bad once you learn it.

Cons

The billing function is not very user-friendly for me, and it is quite difficult to navigate.

New, but good

Pros

I think the reporting is great in this software, much better than in Deltek Vision. I love that I can create better dashboards too.

Cons

The software platform is new, so I am still learning all the whistles and bells, and it has some kinks, but in time those will be resolved.
