Really Useful Product

Pros

The simplicity of the software is remarkable even for someone like me who is not an IT exprt.

Cons

This is the only system of its kind that I have ever used so I have nothing to compare it to.

Working with WorkPal

Pros

The software is very intuitive which makes it less intimidating for new users. The search function is excellent allowing you to quickly find what you need.

Cons

I prefer more flexibility in making changes to functionality by the administrator.

Pros

It is user friendly, making it easy to set up customers and assign jobs to technicians for seamless job write ups and invoicing.

Cons

The system lacks the ability to generate order numbers. When adding parts and specifying the quantity in stock, the system doesn't automatically decrease the count when booking out parts. As a result another system is needed to track stock numbers and determine when to reorder.

Great software and excellent service and training

Pros

Being able to include photos on the worksheets greatly assists our office staff when processing the report.

Cons

It would be helpful to have a job status box that updates when engineers are finishing up, indicating actions required such as "job complete, quote needed" etc.

Great software for asset management

Pros

Workpal is quite flexible, tailoring their software to meet your specific needs. They can customize and simplify Workpal based on your requirements. Their form controls are excellent, and their developers are highly accommodating and innovative in configuring the system to suit your needs.

Cons

We weren't able to have a trial run with the software before setting up everything. If potential users could have a trial period with basic forms I believe it would make implementation much easier and give clients a better understanding of what to expect.

Suggested changes for easy of customer use functionality

Pros

The software has great features and the ease of reporting was a major selling point. However some key items that we emphasized needed to be included on the jobs page turned out to be impossible. Overall the software is pleasant to use but there are several areas that lack backend integration, resulting in duplicated information and confusion. Additionally, the sync feature doesn't always function properly.

Cons

We faced major challenges in getting the deployment team to understand our needs. also when it comes to problem reporting, the responsibility lies with the customer to prove that the application is not functioning properly.

Excellent and efficient tool to have

Pros

The ability to log and schedule work easily is key to our operations and Workpal enables us to do that and more. Its user friendly nature is particularly important for employees who may not be as confident with IT equipment.

Cons

Overall there is very little that needs improvement. Our employees seem to use it without major issues, and any minor problems can be resolved internally.

Solid and dependable software

Pros

The transition to a paperless work environment has significantly improved efficiency. Additionally the ability to assign jobs in real time and receive live updates from our field engineers has been incredibly positive.

Cons

When a job is marked as complete, it immediately goes into the "Closed" section. Having a flag or notification to indicate that a job has been updated from its previous status would be useful for our Service Desk, avoiding the need to scroll through the list of completed jobs to find recently finished ones and check if further action is required.

The impact this software has had on our business operations has been a lot as it eliminates many duplications inherent in our outdated paper system.

Saves time, money and has increased productivity

Pros

Users can receive detailed training in just 30 minutes. It provides transparency with clients and also provides proof of work completed. also allows us to know the exact locations and progress of our staff at all times.

Cons

Invoicing doesn't transfer to Sage. It would be helpful to have a list of available forms for use on WorkPal.

This was a fantastic experience all the way through. It does what it says on the tin!

Pros

The system is remarkably user friendly ensuring a smooth transition from paper based processes to digital. It integrates seamlessly with other systems in our organization. Training was readily available and the team was incredibly accommodating. It felt like business as usual for all users.

Cons

I would have liked to have more integrated tracking with my vehicles, although I've been informed that this is on the roadmap.
