Powerful facilities management Suite

Pros

It covers a complete range of tools for tracking and managing nearly every Facilities Management activity which makes it a very capable all in one solution.

Cons

There are occasional drops in functions within the maintenance console and the AutoCAD integration can be glitchy at times.

Pros

Clients can't use it without much trouble and the web based interface isn't convenient.

Cons

Overall the system feels disconnected, full of problems and there never seems to be anyone with a real solution.

4.0

customizable platform with BIM progress

Pros

The application can be modified to fit specific business requirements which is definitely a strong advantage even if that flexibility can sometimes become a bit of a mixed blessing. It's also heading in the right direction with Revit BIM integration although the pace has been slower than expected.

Cons

Upgrades tend to be painful and expensive to deal with. Asset and work management also feels a bit limited when it comes to healthcare compliance and reliability centered maintenance. The mobile app can be problematic especially when using more advanced configurations and the Smart Client interface feels outdated and a little odd.

powerful space tracking

Pros

Been a really useful tool for tracking space and managing personnel moves from one place to another.

Cons

The biggest frustration is that the software can no longer be bought and owned outright. That's terrible. The company's greed really shows here forcing customers to keep leasing the software forever instead of ever actually owning it. That kind of practice honestly shouldn't even be legal.

4.0

great coverage across teams

Pros

Something that really stands out is how many business processes this platform handles. We rely on it for space management, move management, maintenance, green building and hoteling so it supports a wide range of our operational needs in one system.

Cons

What's missing is direct access to Business Process Experts from Archibus HQ who can clearly explain how the standard workflows were originally designed and how they're supposed to work in practice. Whenever we need to understand how the system handles a specific process it turns into an ongoing reverse engineering effort from the online help all the way through trial and error testing.

4.0

solid features

Pros

The Space and Lease Management modules work well and offer solid features. The implementation partner can also handle client-specific customizations which is a real plus.

Cons

Puts out software updates every quarter but they often don't seem thoroughly tested because quite a few bugs show up. When those issues are reported they usually get fixed in the following release instead of the version where the problem actually exists. Another downside is that it depends on implementation partners for deployment and support which leaves both the partner and the client with limited say in the timing and priority of enhancements or bug fixes.

Good integrations that deliver

Pros

One of the best things about it is how much it can connect with other systems. Its integration with HR platforms like WorkDay and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow has been incredibly valuable for us.

Cons

It does work right out of the box but to get the most out of its features and make key functions run more efficiently, customization is usually needed which increases the overall cost of ownership.

Reliable facilities management

Pros

Has worked well for managing facilities especially in a larger organization of 1001-5000 employees. I used the software for about 2-3 years and it handled that core job reliably.

Cons

Interface is not very user friendly and could be designed in a much better way.

Feature Rich,. app could be better

Pros

A big reason I went with this software was how comprehensive the feature set is. It offers a huge range of features and there's plenty of flexibility to customize it to fit different needs.

Cons

The current mobile app still has some usability and performance problems. To their credit they are in the middle of replacing it but the existing version definitely needs improvement.

solid space tracking features

Pros

Right out of the box it includes everything needed to document and track hospital spaces and related square footage even down to department numbers. Pulling together information for yearly CMS reporting is fairly simple especially when working across multiple facilities in a portfolio. It also comes with several extra fields already available so for many basic requirements very little customization is needed.

Cons

In v24.1 users still can't add or edit fields directly from the client software. Any customization has to be handled through proprietary back end code which makes even small changes complicated, time consuming and potentially expensive. The per user licensing model also makes broad rollouts costly especially when many people only need view or reporting access. Buying through third party vendors adds unnecessary expense and those vendors often seem less informed about the product than expected. Compared with current software standards the system feels old, clunky and badly outdated. It does meet our needs and has improved over time but none of it really feels like a modern platform that justifies the price.

move management refresh

Pros

The v25.4 has been a really nice update and I'm a big fan of the new interface. The Move Management module feels much more up to date now and getting around the system is more easy than before. The added features also make the platform feel more complete and useful day to day.

Cons

One area that still needs work is the Asset Management module. A few features could definitely be improved especially when creating multiple assets at once. It would help a lot to have the option to enter cost details for the whole group of newly created assets instead of adding that information one asset at a time. Right now that process is very impractical when you're managing a large number of assets along with all their financial details. It's also frustrating that you can't select multiple assets together to perform certain actions in the system which ends up wasting a lot of time.

valuable modules and solid integration

Pros

One of the biggest advantages of this software is the wide range of modules available since you can choose only the ones you actually need and get better value from it. The Space Planning module is especially useful for getting a clear view of room data and the AutoCAD integration works flawlessly.

Cons

For a long time the user interface was difficult to work with. To their credit they have been improving that area over the last few years.

powerful asset control

Pros

Having Enterprise Asset Management built around a centralized, standardized relational database gives clear control over every asset in the spaces you manage. Since everything within a space is treated as an asset it creates a very organized way to track and manage responsibilities. Access is also role based so people across the company can quickly get into exactly what they are responsible for handling.

Cons

Data is really the key issue. A lot of users keep information scattered across different systems and formats so the real challenge is gathering it all, normalizing it and setting a consistent data standard. Once that part is handled importing data into the software through the standard templates is quick and simple.
