“Best for maintenance and reservations tracking
Pros
When it comes to the software, we mostly utilized the maintenance and reservations features. Its incredibly transparent and every action is recorded, ensuring that nothing can be easily deleted.
Cons
The software feels outdated and lacks a modern interface. There are more advanced alternatives available.

“It is an average program.
Pros
Building Link is not the most intuitive, but it serves our purposes. Many of our residents struggle with using BuildingLink and I believe the mobile app is the main issue.
Cons
Sometimes, the software crashes unexpectedly, and residents struggle to submit maintenance requests.

“A system that could be great with the right vision
Pros
In terms of its foundation I believe BuildingLink is robust. The underlying data structures and business logic make sense, giving the impression that this product has been developed with a solid foundation.
Cons
Aesthetically, I can't understand why they haven't given the web and mobile app a major overhaul. Both appear significantly outdated and cumbersome to navigate. A web designer could easily address this through UX changes, so I'm uncertain why it's still an issue. In terms of customization, while it's understandable that the software can't do everything, it should at least allow users to add custom pages. For instance, I would love to create a customized "wiki" style page or pages for introductions and announcements. Additionally, it would be beneficial if I could embed third-party services for payment processing, utility lookup, voting, or violation tracking. The lack of any violation management system is a significant drawback for HOA/COA use cases and should be prioritized. As for email messaging, it's clunky and needs improvement. Lastly, enabling custom user types requires support involvement, but it would be more convenient if admins could create these types themselves.

“Don't know what other options are out there
Pros
BuildingLink consolidates everything in one place, including announcements, employee directory, and marketplace. It's also straightforward to navigate.
Cons
The user interface leaves much to be desired, and by "much" I mean this site appears to have received its most recent update at least a decade ago.

The systems homepage could use an upgrade as it looks outdated and overloaded with excessive visuals and clip art.

“Customized for Communities
Pros
The MarketPlace posting feature facilitates connections and interactions with neighbors effortlessly. It's fantastic for exchanging tips, selling furniture, and more.
Cons
The system designed for our community is old and outdated, reminiscent of a portal from the late 90s.
