Biggest Nightmare Ever

Pros

If the system worked as promised, it would be amazing.

Cons

Ciirus lied about every aspect of this software. If you go with the LOVE RENTALS program, it might work better. I signed up in February, began onboarding, and finally went live at the end of June. Nothing works correctly, and support calls go unanswered. This has been the worst experience double bookings, software malfunctions, and horrible support.

Great vacation rental software

Pros

I've used CiiRUS for many years and consider the vacation rental software outstanding. It offers fantastic features such as calendar synchronization, tailored reporting, field operations, and an attractive CRM/UI. The task list is efficient for keeping up with the cleaning schedule. It integrates effortlessly with Airbnb, Booking.com, and several other platforms, making it straightforward for managers and operators to handle.

Cons

Pricing can be a bit steep if you want to deploy it widely across your hotel chain. There is an opportunity to optimize the sales pricing here.

Was on the Fence but Glad I Jumped!

Pros

What my team loves most about this product is the customer service! They are amazing to work with and always respond promptly. I really feel like they take the time to listen to us and help us navigate the learning experience.

Cons

It would be great if the Airbnb communication integration were simpler. And, of course, apps are nice. But it's still better than the software we used before.

Failed Implementation - Know what you are buying

Pros

We chose Ciirus because we were told they were fully integrated with the channels we used and had features to support our electronic door locks, revenue management, housekeeping, and guest portal. Unfortunately, we couldn't get everything working, and after about five weeks of trying, we had to abandon it.

Cons

There are two versions of the software: the SAAS version called ONE and a Windows version. ONE is supposedly their forward platform, but it's difficult to use for booking/reservation management. While the Windows version does a good job for call-in reservations, it lacks all the functionality of ONE. We found ourselves switching between screens to find reservations and manage components. The user experience involves opening many different modules to get needed details. Guest communication is crucial for us. SMS never worked and only functions with their CRM for automated messaging. You can't send an SMS on the fly. Messaging is not connected to the booking, so you don't know what is scheduled or sent without jumping through hoops. They have integrated Airbnb messaging, but it's separate from the booking, requiring you to switch modules and filter information. Ask them why you have to use Mailchimp. Taxing for Airbnb doesn't work if you have them remit only part of the taxes and pass the remaining taxes to the property manager to file. Booking.com needs a specific setup (if you use Group Home in Booking.com, you will need to change) that we discovered at the last minute.

Compared to our previous software for vacation rentals, Ciirus is definitely more user-friendly and reliable. The customer support team is always ready to assist, and they go the extra mile to solve any issues. They're always friendly and helpful.

Cons

The constant appearance of column choosers every time I want to include financials, without saving the desired amount, is quite bothersome. It's a hassle to have to sift through a lot of columns when I only need to view a few.

They are always upgrading their features and adding more.

Pros

The continuous addition of new features and upgrades is impressive. The system offers a seamless and easy-to-use layout. The support and website development teams are knowledgeable and always go above and beyond to assist us.

Cons

The synchronization process with Booking.com takes longer than anticipated, although VRBO and other platforms connect swiftly.

Pros

CIIRUS ONE, the online version of the software, was a game-changer for me as a Mac user. It made my life much easier. The software keeps introducing exciting new features, although I still need to learn how to utilize them. The customer service is excellent and always helpful.

Cons

Personally, I find CIIRUS software not particularly intuitive, but the customer service is extremely helpful in addressing all inquiries and guiding through necessary steps.

I value having complete control and the simplicity of adjusting entries and managing booking information. With other software, these tasks can be challenging. I also enjoy beneficial features like the Set Booking Total and appreciate that Ciirus pays attention to client feedback, continuously making enhancements.

Cons

As a Mac user, I've always faced issues with Ciirus being PC-based, causing problems for the first six years. The long-awaited Ciirus 1 has resolved that issue, but it still needs improvement to match the responsiveness of the desktop version. I wish there was more flexibility to customize the booking schedule, reports, and appearance of owner statements according to my specific needs (perhaps it's a Mac characteristic:).

Good Software With Lots of Opportunity

Pros

Integration with Beyond Pricing has been a lifesaver, and it's probably my favorite feature. I also appreciate the LOS discount, rate set details, and Property Assistant.

Cons

There are persistent glitches in the IMAGES section of Homes and Details. Over two years, we have experienced constant difficulties with uploading or deleting photos, resulting in countless hours and days wasted. It would be fantastic to have a tiered LOS discount or seasonal LOS discount, which I understand is in the pipeline. We need it urgently and are patiently awaiting its implementation.
