Great Over All Product

Pros

I love the customer service; it's the best I've ever experienced. Lodgify's support is fast but foreign, making phone calls challenging. Escapia's support was terrible they'd email back days later without a resolution. Ciirus, being US-based, responds quickly and is easy to work with! I highly recommend them for this reason alone.

Cons

The only drawback I've encountered so far is the absence of a mobile app for my team and the channel manager not being the most robust I've seen. However, I don't believe connecting to all possible channels necessarily leads to the best traffic.

We love Ciirus!

Pros

The transition to this system was as smooth as possible given the large amount of data we had to transfer. Switching software companies is more daunting than choosing the first one, and we love that the Ciirus team is always available to help!

Cons

Some of the reporting features feel a bit awkward, but we can always request new or different ones, and they respond quickly.

CiiRUS is the permanent solution for VRMs

Pros

I can't praise the CiiRUS support team enough. They really understand your business, making you feel like part of the group, not just another phone call. I attend the quarterly learning sessions to see updates and new features, so I never feel left behind. I appreciate that everything I need is in one platform, eliminating the need for external services for channel sync, pricing rules, cleaning/maintenance tools, guest portal, website, and more.

Cons

They recently launched their next-generation product. While no rebuilding or migration was required, we had to learn our way around, which took some time during our busy season. We're glad we invested that time because the new system is far ahead of anything else we've seen or that our friends in the industry use.

I am extremely disappointed in CiiRus as a whole and wish I had made a different choice

Pros

The onboarding team has been great knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Cons

The system is clunky, old, and cumbersome. Be warned, there is no app. They claim it's "mobile-friendly," but it definitely isn't. Some features don't work on mobile, and others disappear, requiring you to search for them. Everything, including notifications, comes through email. You can't add anything on the fly and have to search for a way to add a vendor if you want to add a bill, for example.

Using Ciirus as a Vacation Rental Property Manager

Pros

Ciirus is very effective as an easy-to-use daily tool for entering bookings, managing cleaners, accounting for subcontractor costs, and financial reporting to my owners. I would be lost without this system and am very grateful for the customer service support when I need help!

Cons

The desktop version of Ciirus is very good, and the Ciirus task manager app has been a great tool for managing cleaners and maintenance. As a property manager in the field daily, I'd like to be able to edit work orders using the task manager app to add estimated costs and markups and to edit if needed. Currently, I can't do this, but I'm sure Ciirus will eventually allow it as they are receptive to user feedback and implement changes in their updates.

Ciirus Vacation Rental Software

Pros

This software is easy to use and understand. I also appreciate that the team listens to any problems and takes action to correct them. They regularly roll out updates and improvements to the website.

Cons

With any new product, there's a learning curve. I was selected to test the new financial software side of Ciirus. I expected more issues than we encountered and found the training team very knowledgeable and helpful. Most problems I had were due to my learning curve, not issues with Ciirus. When we did find an issue, it was reported and corrected quickly. I'm very pleased with the software.

Pros

I am really enjoying the new updates. I like that the reservation calendar and payments are easy to use and view. The software makes it easy to track our income.

Cons

Some features are awkward. I'd love to see the rate sets made easier to implement more dynamic pricing (e.g., allow me to set weekdays at different rates than weekends). I'd like to avoid paying for an additional service to price my properties.

If the system worked as promised, it would be amazing.

Cons

Ciirus lied about every aspect of this software. If you go with the LOVE RENTALS program, it might work better. I signed up in February, began onboarding, and finally went live at the end of June. Nothing works correctly, and support calls go unanswered. This has been the worst experience double bookings, software malfunctions, and horrible support.

Great vacation rental software

Pros

I've used CiiRUS for many years and consider the vacation rental software outstanding. It offers fantastic features such as calendar synchronization, tailored reporting, field operations, and an attractive CRM/UI. The task list is efficient for keeping up with the cleaning schedule. It integrates effortlessly with Airbnb, Booking.com, and several other platforms, making it straightforward for managers and operators to handle.

Cons

Pricing can be a bit steep if you want to deploy it widely across your hotel chain. There is an opportunity to optimize the sales pricing here.

Was on the Fence but Glad I Jumped!

What my team loves most about this product is the customer service! They are amazing to work with and always respond promptly. I really feel like they take the time to listen to us and help us navigate the learning experience.

Cons

It would be great if the Airbnb communication integration were simpler. And, of course, apps are nice. But it's still better than the software we used before.

Failed Implementation - Know what you are buying

Pros

We chose Ciirus because we were told they were fully integrated with the channels we used and had features to support our electronic door locks, revenue management, housekeeping, and guest portal. Unfortunately, we couldn't get everything working, and after about five weeks of trying, we had to abandon it.

Cons

There are two versions of the software: the SAAS version called ONE and a Windows version. ONE is supposedly their forward platform, but it's difficult to use for booking/reservation management. While the Windows version does a good job for call-in reservations, it lacks all the functionality of ONE. We found ourselves switching between screens to find reservations and manage components. The user experience involves opening many different modules to get needed details. Guest communication is crucial for us. SMS never worked and only functions with their CRM for automated messaging. You can't send an SMS on the fly. Messaging is not connected to the booking, so you don't know what is scheduled or sent without jumping through hoops. They have integrated Airbnb messaging, but it's separate from the booking, requiring you to switch modules and filter information. Ask them why you have to use Mailchimp. Taxing for Airbnb doesn't work if you have them remit only part of the taxes and pass the remaining taxes to the property manager to file. Booking.com needs a specific setup (if you use Group Home in Booking.com, you will need to change) that we discovered at the last minute.

My Honest Feedback

Pros

CIIRUS ONE, the online version of the software, was a game-changer for me as a Mac user. It made my life much easier. The software keeps introducing exciting new features, although I still need to learn how to utilize them. The customer service is excellent and always helpful.

Cons

Personally, I find CIIRUS software not particularly intuitive, but the customer service is extremely helpful in addressing all inquiries and guiding through necessary steps.

Constantly improving

Pros

I value having complete control and the simplicity of adjusting entries and managing booking information. With other software, these tasks can be challenging. I also enjoy beneficial features like the Set Booking Total and appreciate that Ciirus pays attention to client feedback, continuously making enhancements.

Cons

As a Mac user, I've always faced issues with Ciirus being PC-based, causing problems for the first six years. The long-awaited Ciirus 1 has resolved that issue, but it still needs improvement to match the responsiveness of the desktop version. I wish there was more flexibility to customize the booking schedule, reports, and appearance of owner statements according to my specific needs (perhaps it's a Mac characteristic:).

Good Software With Lots of Opportunity

Pros

Integration with Beyond Pricing has been a lifesaver, and it's probably my favorite feature. I also appreciate the LOS discount, rate set details, and Property Assistant.

Cons

There are persistent glitches in the IMAGES section of Homes and Details. Over two years, we have experienced constant difficulties with uploading or deleting photos, resulting in countless hours and days wasted. It would be fantastic to have a tiered LOS discount or seasonal LOS discount, which I understand is in the pipeline. We need it urgently and are patiently awaiting its implementation.

NIGHTMARE!!! Worst Software and Service in the Industry

It was a huge mistake to choose them as our provider. There are much better companies out there. The software is flawed, with a disconnect between the desktop and internet versions, leading to incorrect database updates. The onboarding process was a nightmare, and they didn't follow our requirements or requests. Customer service is extremely poor, and they even charged our account after being fired for non-performance. There are no pros to mention; they promise a lot but fail to deliver. They are not ready for prime time.

Cons

STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! It's a DISASTER!!! They consistently fail to deliver on their commitments. This company isn't suited for you; there are better alternatives out there. It feels like throwing your money away on the side of the road. Their customer service performance is the poorest I've experienced in my career. They prioritize their own agenda over customer needs. The software lacks structure from a user's standpoint. Unreasonable delays are widespread across all aspects. Overall, their performance is below average, and they seem apathetic. Their lack of professionalism makes them resemble a failed startup.

Once upon a time.

Pros

There was a time when Ciirus had outstanding customer service and a quick response rate. There was a time when they focused on providing a good, affordable software solution for small businesses. It used to be an excellent integrated reservation and accounting program for management companies.

Cons

Ciirus experienced rapid and aggressive growth, but in the process, they neglected the importance of customer service. They left smaller management companies behind, focusing solely on catering to larger companies. Additional features were designed exclusively for the big players. Constant updates and monthly price increases showed no regard for loyal customers who had been with them since the beginning.
