“Simplifies daily hotel management
Pros
It is easy to use as even when I first started using it, I was able to get the hang of it within a week after training. Also it has features covering everything from the front office to the back office.
Cons
Sometimes the program freezes and I have to restart it. And I am not sure why it happened, maybe it is because of the internet or something else.

“Quite a smart and modern booking software
Pros
I really like the reporting tools. They let me pull reports on occupancy and reservations so I can keep track of how our revenue is doing.
Cons
The rate setup is a bit tricky for us. As we are not like a typical hotel and have three different areas for reservations. Each rate includes three parts such as a Hidden Rate, a Visible Rate and an Object to route funds to the right GL account.

Pros
The Smart Hotel team is always ready to take your call. Plus the crew is highly knowledgeable and helpful. As they have always managed to solve any problems we have had.
Cons
Nothing wrong with it at all. It works great and I have had almost no issues.

“Pretty simple to use
Pros
Smart Hotel software is simple and user friendly, with a color-coded chart on the reservation control screen that makes things easy for me to spot.
Cons
It would be helpful if entering a zip code automatically filled in the city and state. Also I feel like having a dual option for housekeeping status like vacant & clean or vacant & occupied with the system flagging inconsistencies would be nice.

“Best among others!
Pros
Loading the program and making reservations is pretty simple. Overall I would say it is a great tool.
Cons
When I try to jump to the current day it actually takes me to the previous day. For example if today is November 22, I have to select November 21 to get the right date.

Cons
Well one thing that is annoying is having to click inside empty boxes.

“Good but could be better
Pros
I really like how detailed and customizable our reservations can be. Plus the support team at Smart Hotel is very helpful and easy to communicate with. When we get stuck it is awesome that they can take control of my screen and guide me through.
Cons
One thing I don't like is that once a reservation is checked out, you cannot adjust it anymore. Also the repeated prompts asking if I want to close a window get annoying.

“Easy to customize but not user-friendly
Pros
It is customizable to fit our unique needs. The support team really knows the system well and helps figure out the best setup for us. And since we do not operate like a typical hotel, we have needed several custom programs and reports. Now the system works reliably and is pretty easy to use.
Cons
The software is complicated and some parts are not very user friendly. Also there is a steep learning curve to really get comfortable with it which I don't like much.

“Customizable but not easy to use
Pros
Customer service is simply the best as they help us create the materials and systems we need when the standard options don't fit. Also I like how adaptable the system is. And it is reliable for managing reservations and does not have the problem of dropping bookings like other systems I have used.
Cons
There is no training manual or guide and it feels clunky and outdated to me at times especially the online booking section.

Smart Hotel is very user friendly and easy to learn. Plus it integrates with our finance software which is a huge help.
Cons
I do not have any dislikes to mention about this software. Honestly I wish I had gotten it five years ago.
