Pros
TouchPoint isn't just a vendor. they're a true partner that walks alongside churches helping us use data to empower our ministry. It's highly customizable and can be tailored to meet each church's unique goals and needs.
Cons
Since it's a newer company compared to some of the older, well-known options, some features are still being developed. Volunteer scheduling for example could use more work.

“Great tagging and search tools
Pros
The tagging system is my favorite feature and I've gotten everyone using it. The search function is really powerful as long as you have a good idea of what you're looking for.
Cons
Can be buggy sometimes. There's also a pretty steep learning curve especially for our older staff members who have to keep up with all the new updates.

“perfect church-focused database
Pros
I love that it's completely focused on being the best solution for a church database and contact list. We know it can do so much more than we're currently using but we're really happy with it as a tool.
Cons
It would be great to have features for managing rooms and facilities but other than that it's a great system.

“powerful partner for people-focused ministry
Pros
It's awesome that TouchPoint gives us the functionality to use data to truly know and care for our people better.
Cons
Sometimes new features are released with a few bugs but I know they're working on it. Some of the help guides are also a bit outdated but we really like the new Learning Management System!

“Works great + excellent support
Pros
I like that it works great right out of the box for most churches but if you have some SQL or Python skills, you can really expand it for custom needs. The support is also excellent. They don't do phone support normally but their email support is usually very quick. And when it really matters, you can even get the CEO and other leaders on the phone to fix an issue, that's something you'd never get with a bigger company.
Cons
I feel like some new features aren't tested as thoroughly as they should be though this has gotten much better recently.

Pros
The TouchPoint team is a huge part of what makes this software so valuable. They're genuinely focused on helping churches further their mission by simplifying administrative work, managing pastoral care and providing top-notch customer support.
Cons
it is always improving and adding new features which is great but it does mean there are occasional bugs (thankfully their support team is always quick to fix them).

Wish the standard reports were more powerful. We've had to build a lot of our own custom reports to get the data we need.

I'm most grateful for how this software has improved our ability to truly know and shepherd our congregation and also for the helpful network of other churches they've built.
Cons
My least favorite part is that there aren't real-time dashboards for things like registration forms. You have to run a report every time you want to see the results.

Pros
The system can be configured and adapted to fit all sorts of ministry needs and ideas. Since all the features are fully integrated, any user with permission can access all the data.
Cons
The frequency of bugs and how long it takes to resolve them can be frustrating though that's partly because the system has so many features.

phew, the learning curve is intense! It takes about two years to feel like you really know what you're doing but that's also a good thing because it shows how much the system can do.

“excellent for ministry ownership and task management
Pros
This software allowed us as a church to take ownership of our ministry. There were several features we never had with previous software. For example the ability to assign tasks to specific people and give them responsibility really helped our visiting ministry take off. It's an excellent tool for keeping all our data and information organized in one place.
Cons
When we switched to TouchPoint, we couldn't transfer some data from our old system. It wasn't mission-critical but it was still important for our ministry. We had to work closely with their customer service to get the best results from the data conversion.

“frustrating for daily tasks
Pros
The platform has a good grouping feature for sending mass emails. It's also easy to keep track of members and update their profiles by adding, changing or deleting details.
Cons
Overall it's not very user-friendly. You have to search in very specific ways or you won't find what you're looking for even if the data is there. Doing simple tasks often feels indirect and it's hard to remember where to click to get where you need to go. The email formatting is also limited especially with images, you have to do a lot of customizing and the program doesn't adjust things automatically to make it look good.

Pros
I appreciate its flexibility, the online portal, the app, the ability to keep developing it and the task/follow-up system.
Cons
The check-in system could be more customizable. The app is good but it often just links back to the church website instead of having the information built into the app itself.
