Pros

The product is easy to use and intuitive. I really appreciate the ability to generate Ad Hoc reports, which are essential for my work. The features provided meet all the FASB 842 requirements and the customer service and support team have been excellent and I also find the learning videos very helpful.

Cons

Some out-of-the-box issues have been confusing and I don't find the manual very helpful. It can be hard to understand.

I'm really impressed with VL so much. The software is constantly improving and it's definitely top tier.

Honestly I do not have any complaints about the software itself. My issue is with our team not fully taking advantage of it.

Pros

Loading leased assets and tracking them is simple and the reports are simple and easy to understand.

Cons

It has a different set of GL mapping and it would be much easier if we could align this with Hyperion on SAP to avoid mapping errors.

I just think that the customization and creation of the AP feed could be improved.

Visual Lease makes it simple to review and verify lease details all in one place, including the address, landlord, key dates, related documents and even the internal names my client uses to refer to the lease.

I struggled with the report feature at first (and still do sometimes). After a couple of years, I figured it out by accident but before that, I had to ask the administrator to run the reports for me.

Pros

The reporting, accounting and compliance management features in Visual Lease are essential for handling my company's global lease management. They ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards, assist in preparing financial statements and disclosure notes and help track important lease dates.

Cons

The document management feature does not support uploading all lease files so for those leases, we are required to post a file path pointing to an offline location instead of having all the documents stored directly in the system.

“Amazing reporting capabilities

Pros

Its reporting features for accounting and the AP feed for journal entries are invaluable.

Cons

It was difficult to learn at first. I had trouble setting up contacts as payors and when properties were sold, there was a specific order I had to follow. Otherwise, the new contact would overwrite the previous one and we would lose the history.

Visual Lease makes lease and asset management much simpler and easier to handle from an administrative perspective.

Visual Lease is pretty flexible and there is not much I would change about it.

This product is very user friendly. I have never experienced any outages or slow performance, which is a relief compared to other products I have used.

I would only wish that we could customize more fields.

Adding leases to Visual Lease and downloading the amortization schedules and journal entries each month is incredibly easy.

Using CAD leases with USD leases in the reports does not always convert properly.
