
UltiPro (now UKG) is an all-in-one HR software that handles payroll and workforce management. But before you can access it, you need to set up an account first. However, this is easier said than done—creating a new account for any new HR software can be both confusing and time-consuming, especially when you’re a first-timer.
To this end, we’ve come up with a step-by-step tutorial that will guide you through this one-time process so that the account creation process goes as smoothly as possible. Read below to learn more about how to create a UltiPro account.
Before we begin, you must have:
- The desktop version of UltiPro (now UKG)
- A valid email account or employee ID
- Internet access
Once you have all these prerequisites, follow our step-by-step guide below.
- Click on the UltiPro desktop icon
- Pick your email account. If you don’t have one, you need to enter it manually
- Enter the Network Password. It is the password that you log onto your computer with
- If prompted, complete the MFA (Multi-factor Authentication)
- The UKG 'Change Password' screen will now open. Enter a new password that consists of 15 characters (note: this is a temporary password that you will not require after the initial setup)
- Confirm your new password by re-entering it and clicking 'OK'
- You will now be directed towards the 'New User Activation' screen. Enter your date of birth (DOB) and last name
- Click 'OK' and see the 'Account Verified' message pop up
- Now open Microsoft Outlook and look for an activation email from UltiPro/UKG
- Click on the link provided in that email to launch UKG
- If asked again to complete the MFA process, simply select your account and enter your Network Password
- The UltiPro/UKG Home Page will now display
Congratulations, you’ve now created an UltiPro account!
Once you’ve created an UltiPro account, future logins should be easy. To do so, simply click on the desktop icon, select your email address, and enter the Network Password.
If you encounter any issues, your HR team is the best point of contact for assistance. However, if they cannot resolve the issues, please contact UKG (formerly UltiPro) to troubleshoot any errors.
