“effortless stocking”
Pros
Bringing new merchandise into stock is incredibly easy with this system. Out of all the ones I've used this has been the simplest when it comes to adding inventory.
Cons
It's missing layaway and house account options which would make it a lot more complete.

“misleading sales claims”
Pros
It was pretty easy to learn in my experience. Adding inventory was simple and setting up the main POS screen happened fairly quickly.
Cons
The biggest problem was that the e-commerce features were misrepresented and there's no account services or layaway support. When I asked for a reduced contract payout they refused to work with me at all. It feels like the priority is locking people into a contract and collecting payment. I spent extra money on add-ons that turned out to be a wasted expense and couldn't be returned.

“dated tech”
Pros
After five years with Aloha the only real upside is that I'm familiar with it at this point.
Cons
It feels outdated from a software and technology standpoint and it's expensive for what it offers. Even with an annual support contract in place getting answers to my questions can take days or even weeks. The sales team also could really improve when it comes to responsiveness and actually understanding what the customer needs.

“improved visibility into shifts”
Pros
Having sales, labor and sales mix all in one place really helps us with managing the overall restaurant operation and keeping better control of each shift.
Cons
The support team can be a little slow to respond sometimes.

“Poor support”
Pros
The demo and sales presentation were convincing and the system seemed like it should have helped simplify my day and cut down on mistakes.
Cons
It did perform efficiently at times but the support team didn't seem thoroughly trained on the system. Frustrating experience.

“outdated”
Pros
This system is highly flexible and can be configured in a lot of ways. It's easy for my servers to pick up and use without much trouble.
Cons
At the same time it isn't consistently stable and can get pretty buggy. It may have been excellent 10 or 15 years ago but it hasn't really kept pace and the platform still feels weighed down by outdated code.

“versatile tools for every need”
Pros
It covers a broad range of my operational business needs from takeout and delivery to inventory, age verification, scheduling and more. That flexibility makes it useful for handling many different requirements in one system.
Cons
Upgrades and new releases can take some time before they're stable enough for the local dealer to roll out at the store level.

“Overcomplicated network setup”
Pros
Once you purchase the software and the service contract their team is responsive and handles fixes when needed.
Cons
Even though it's a long-established product the network configuration is far more complicated than it should be. It gives me the impression that the vendor has intentionally made everything difficult so the service contract feels absolutely necessary.

“rudimentary reports”
Pros
Running it on an iPad is really convenient since it doesn't take up much counter space and being able to move it around easily is a big plus. I also appreciate the month-to-month payment option instead of being locked into a long-term contract.
Cons
The reporting side especially when it comes to sales-related inventory doesn't go as deep as I need it to. I'd like the ability to pull reports on items sold by vendor name and also drill into a specific item to see a more detailed sales history.
