keeps me organized

Pros

Using this has saved me a lot of time. It even supported me in making more money through the way it improves my workflow. Once I got familiar with the system I found that it helped me handle my work more efficiently and keep things better organized from day to day. Overall my experience was excellent since I got to learn so much and can now manage my business better.

Cons

There was definitely a learning curve. Still, once I understood it better and learned more about the system it became much easier to handle.

All-in-one complete platform

Pros

After looking at several other options and even thinking about creating our own custom system we kept coming back to CORESense. Nothing else matched the depth of tools it offers in one place like eCommerce, POS and multi-brand support. Another big plus is that even though it's a SaaS product we still have the option to pay for customizations. We've taken advantage of that quite a bit.

Cons

The back office side is fairly complex and the interface definitely feels a little bit dated. It can take some time to get comfortable with but that's somewhat understandable given how feature-rich the software is and in the end it does what we need it to do.

Packed with features

Pros

Its packed with features and new ones seem to be added regularly. I like having the many options it gives me. The developer preview section is especially helpful since I run and manage my own store.

Cons

Certain tools and settings feel buried or difficult to locate because the menus are so text-heavy.

outdated and buggy back office

Pros

One of the few advantages for me was being able to support all of our channels from a single shared database. The software also includes some third-party integrations although the selection is fairly limited.

Cons

In my experience the customer login and the move to checkout page are noticeably slow, usually taking around 8 to 10 seconds. The back office feels outdated and is difficult to work with even for experienced IT staff. The edit, delete and deactivate icons are often too small and placed too close together which makes misclicks common. Some icons also don't include ALT or Title tags so there's no helpful screen tip when you run into one you don't recognize on pages you don't use often. Even when help is available it isn't very useful. The back office is also cluttered with various artifacts tied to options or programs that aren't even being used. There are no sorting options in areas like the product manager or customer manager. It would also make much more sense if the number of items shown per page were saved in a cookie Instead of forcing you to reset it from the default 20 every single time. Navigation is limited to Next/End rather than giving incremental page choices like Google-style results. There are also some strange inconsistencies between what can be done through the SOI and what a public user is allowed to do. A number of the templates are not fully responsive so custom development is required. The system uses one shared state/country table for both the public-facing side and the back office. That becomes a problem when a client wants to restrict the public site to US locations but still needs to place vendor orders in non-US countries. The email template process is quite weak. And while it may not be unusual it's still frustrating to feel like the sales process set the wrong expectations.

comes with convenient remote access

Pros

It has a very reliable set of features. Since it's web-based, we can use it wherever there's an internet connection and a browser. Downtime has been almost nonexistent and we haven't needed any support from an internal IT department thus far.

Cons

Because the platform includes so many features it can feel a bit overwhelming for someone who's just getting started.

runs the full ecommerce operation

Pros

It's capable of running an entire eCommerce business from end to end. A very complete platform.

Cons

I'd say the interface isn't especially clear so it can take some time to get comfortable with how everything works.

glitchy system and confusing website

Pros

There are different reporting options available which is one of the better parts of the software.

Cons

Too many bugs. Adding products is made very complicated because of how often the system glitches. And I find the website to be neither user-friendly nor visually appealing.

It adapts to your business

Pros

I've used this for six years and my experience with the platform has been very positive. It's a strong fit for e-commerce businesses that don't operate in a standard cookie-cutter way. One of the biggest advantages is how well it can be adapted to the way your business actually works. If there's a feature you need and you're willing to invest in it their team is usually happy to build it out. It also does an really good job handling multiple brands, companies and databases across different sales channels from a single login. You can set up user permissions so certain logins only have access to specific brands or channels. Running multiple brands across multiple locations is very manageable in the system. I especially appreciate the closest-to-customer functionality which automatically selects the warehouse a product should ship from based on the customer's location. I like that it covers nearly every part of our operation from order entry through the website soI and eBay, to warehouse management Inventory tracking, shipping and just about everything in between. For me overall it's an really good platform that fits our business very well. While there are a few downsides the strengths far outweigh them. And whenever something has gone wrong their support team has been outstanding. Honestly a pleasure to work with compared to many other tech vendors I've dealt with.

Cons

Custom development can be a bit expensive. There were a couple of times in the past when stable releases created issues in our day-to-day operations. But that hasn't been a reoccurring problem and their support team has consistently responded quickly and resolved issues well.

limited functionality, can only do basic stuff

Pros

It works well when you only need the tool for fairly basic tasks. The only positive I can point to is their quick customer support.

Cons

Once we try to do anything beyond the basics the tool starts to feel restrictive and I often have to come up with workarounds for different processes. And I don't like having to create workarounds for a lot of processes because of the restrictions that come with the system. The development team has also made it clear that there are limitations we need to factor in when planning promotions.

6 years of dependable service across 11 locations

Pros

Running a small business with 11 doors across 10 states and a home office we needed a cloud based POS Inventory and SOI retail system that was reasonably priced and came with solid support. CORESense has really been the only option that fit those requirements and it has consistently met our needs throughout the 6 years we've it for retail. As we expanded from a single store to 11 locations the system scaled right along with us. Whenever we've needed additional functionality their development team has worked to build solutions that actually fit our business model. They've kept improving the system and infrastructure over time and their support team is consistently quick to respond. The integrations with tools like Mailgun, Avalara and QuickBooks also make the system more effective and help automate a lot of our processes.

Cons

I've got no complaints.

POS and storefront management in one system

Pros

Between the point-of-sale tools the integrated ecommerce storefront and the full end-to-end functionality this software covers everything we need. It's simple to use and brings all the key pieces together in one system.

Cons

We haven't run into any issues with it.
