Cons

LS Retail can be extremely complicated for certain retail businesses. Considering other software like ChargeLogic Retail could be a better option.

LS Retail

Pros

It's a robust piece of software that works well for retail applications.

Cons

LS Retail implementation process is very complex. The help manuals should include more in-depth and detailed information. Step-by-step instructions would be highly beneficial.

LS Retail for Supermarkets

Pros

I haven't come across any product that compares to LS Retail when it comes to super/hypermarkets. It can be set up as online or offline cash registers, and the synchronization with HQ is extensive. The promotions and offers are extensive as well. The user interface is fully customizable. It's an end-to-end solution that seamlessly works on top of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, eliminating the need for interfaces or integration issues.

Cons

The availability of support resources is limited and the hardware requirements are high if you plan on setting up the software on-premise.

All-in one Retail Solution for a plug and play action

Pros

The wide-spread configuration capability is a huge advantage when selecting LS Retail as the main retail solution for a retail operations-driven business or enterprise. LS Retail can be deployed as a vertical software solution for Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central, making the solution proposals more competitive and viable. The user-friendliness in terms of UI/UX is a goal successfully achieved at LS Retail.

Cons

Although the system allows for configuration at a basic level, as a Deployer, I am eager for better development capabilities to be available, whether through overlays or extensions. Currently, the pricing structure is not viable for the South Asian market, based on my experience with implementation and proposal development.

Good Replication, bad Cache behaviour

Pros

We heavily rely on the replication and POS features, and setting up the replication is also easy.

Cons

When using replication, there are instances where an invalid cache is generated, resulting in the inability to see the latest data in NAV.

LS Retail Review (consultant & End user view)

Pros

It's easy to use and configure, providing a complete package for the retail and hospitality industry. The team members, especially Martin Kleindl, are helpful, and the technologies used are up-to-date.

Cons

The price is a concern, and there should be more verticals added (such as jewelry). Additionally, there should be a technical dump provided, and there seems to be an excessive focus on developing countries.

Pro & Cons about LS Retail

Pros

LS Retail has a lot of features and functionality, and it's highly configurable. The best part is that it can work semi-offline and online. The data director feature helps in replicating data back to the server, and the software is user-friendly.

Cons

Customization and software enhancements are challenging to perform. There are many restrictions in the coding that limit the ability to improve it.

LS Retail/Central, NZ experience

Pros

The advantages of LS Central lie in its ability to be configured without code and its flexible architecture that mirrors retail operations. It's based on the very stable DynamicsNAV/Business Central platform. The web integration supports multi-channel selling as well.

Cons

Like any enterprise, I realized that a significant amount of configuration is required to maximize the product's potential. It's important to recognize the need for sufficient internal resources for the project and to maintain a good relationship with an LS accredited implementation partner.
