“powerful warehouse control”
Pros
inventory, warehousing, dispatch and sales order processing capabilities are efficient. It also has the option of customization to customize it the way our business operates which is a big advantage.
Cons
It is a bit complex and needs a lot of setup before it performs at its best. It is also not cloud-based so in our case we have to rely on a remote desktop setup to use it across multiple locations which adds cost and creates more potential points of failure. To really get full value from the system you need a number of add-ons and extra modules and some of those are extremely expensive and even require paid setup by Orderwise. Support is not available 24/7 either which makes things difficult when you run a round-the-clock operation or need help on weekends. Retail integration does exist but it is also costly and not as capable as some other options, while those alternatives still need extra Orderwise modules and setup to work properly.

“Complicated to use”
Pros
The reporting side was decent once we already knew exactly what to look for.
Cons
Using it is difficult and it makes simple tasks feel more complicated than they should be. It is not user-friendly, has bugs and does not integrate well with other apps.

“costly promises but poor delivery”
Pros
umm pick-and-pack side worked efficiently which was one of the few things we were genuinely pleased with.
Cons
OrderWise - or "Order-unwisely" as our team now calls it was sold to us as an ERP solution that could handle almost every need our business had and the sales process was polished enough to make it all sound convincing. For an 80k investment we expected a system that would actually fit our requirements. We're an omnichannel, multicurrency online retailer so the promise of an ERP that could integrate with every sales channel, manage stock and orders and reconcile everything with our accounts package sounded ideal. In reality, it turned out to be too good to be true. After reviewing five shortlisted options, including three demos, we selected OrderWise in June 2021 because it seemed to offer the most complete solution along with the support needed for a successful migration and implementation. Unfortunately, the expectations set during the sales process were never met and both the software and the team fell short. There's a long list of problems with OrderWise, far too many to cover here and I detailed them in a formal complaint sent to their leadership over seven weeks ago. I've had no response at all which really says everything - they show no real care or consideration for their customers. My advice: look elsewhere.
