Great System Overall!

Pros

The system keeps my A&D book organized and handles layaway, special orders, gunsmithing, and shipping. Interacting with the ATF is a smooth process, thanks to this software. I must mention that the customer service is exceptional. I pay the monthly service fee, and they promptly resolve any issues I encounter.

Cons

The learning curve is steep, requiring 10-20 hours of classes to fully grasp the system. However, once it "clicks," it becomes second nature to navigate.

Rapid is a good system for Firearms sales and does a nice job of managing customers and inventory.

Pros

While the e4473 is a good feature, it's an additional add-on. Mainly I like the DL scan feature and the inventory module, although I wish it had more power. Still, inventory management is good and relatively easy to use. Also the ability to include required fields is a plus. One of the standout features is the multi-gun email notification when extra forms are needed for a purchase. The fact that it fills out the forms for you makes it even better. The touch screen works well and is simple to edit and customize.

Cons

The NCR POS screen size is too small, limiting the number of buttons that can be displayed. I believe features like editing price tags and labels should be included with the software, rather than being add-ons. Considering the price, optional features such as the advanced inventory module and QuickBooks integration should be included. The training could be improved, and as a buyer of the software and hardware, I believe I should have complete access to my SQL database, but unfortunately, that's not the case. The ability to customize should be available to end users without requiring support charges, such as adding simple MSRP to price tags or enabling the printing of counter tags. There have been instances where support took longer to address errors, and they sometimes fix issues without confirming or verifying the resolution, resulting in reopened tickets. The cost of adding an extra license is excessively expensive, and upgrades should be included in support. If we own the e4473 and pay for support, we shouldn't be charged when ATF forms change, as we already pay a hosting fee for the e4473 and support.

The training/support staff are OUTSTANDING...

Pros

Rapid Gun Systems handles our firearms bound book, generates sales and tax reports, customizes the POS screen, and stores customer information.

Cons

Certain actions can only be performed on the POS screen and not in the office, like buybacks. The system goes into sleep mode, requiring logins on office terminals or the use of user ID swipe cards solely on the POS terminal. It would be beneficial to have the option to extend the time before sleep mode activates. Obtaining simple inventory reports should be easier, and item entries should include manufacturer information, not just the vendor, to streamline reporting.

Great system it really has grown into everything you need

Pros

I value the electronic bound book as it aligns well with the support they provide to the 2a community. The touch screen is comes in very handy and it seamlessly integrates with our vendors.

Cons

It's challenging when tech support is located in California, as it takes 1-3 hours to receive a call back when I have an emergency at 9 AM EST.

Best Customer Service, Easy to Use System

Pros

One of the best aspects is the ability to customize almost anything. Over the past year, we've added numerous customizations, and we plan to incorporate many more in the future.

Cons

The appearance could use a facelift, as some of the forms and windows look outdated. Other than that, I haven't found any other flaws.

We switched from Celerant and we are never going back! Rapid has streamlined our processes!

Pros

The ease of use for gun sales makes this software a no-brainer for any FFL. It has simplified our tasks from receiving all the way to disposition.

Cons

It would be great to have a more user-friendly GUI to assist our less tech-savvy users who prefer a simpler interface.
