Pros

The setup process was a smooth and easy task. The other best part about it is that I could customize it to my liking.

Cons

I find it frustrating that there are additional charges for small things. During the setup process, Rapid's ATF knowledge was lacking and I couldn't make changes or updates without contacting them and paying extra charges.

Rapid Gun System just works
Pros

Rapid Gun Systems software delivers on its promises. The functionality is fantastic and meets 99% of my needs.

Cons

With Rapid Gun Systems I have encountered some issues with certain functions and there have been frequent issues with downloading the 4473. Overall, it is about 90% perfect.

Pros

The user interface's simplicity makes it the best and easy to follow along. Also I am confident that my clerks will be able to use the software pretty easily.

Cons

I wish there was integration for NIC checks and better support for SOT. Adding these features would greatly streamline our processes.

Cons

When something goes wrong, it is difficult to recover and get back on track. There are also moments when the software can cause a lot of confusion.

The system is a lot more complex and non user friendly than it should be.
Pros

I like that it seamlessly integrates with our accounting software, making our job easier. While some of the reports are highly useful for our daily accounting functions, there are instances where other reports don't align as they should.

Cons

Learning all the functionality of this software can be quite daunting and time consuming. It would be helpful if they provided detailed training courses for every aspect of the software on their website or elsewhere.

One of the best firearms software I have used thus far.
Pros

Rapid Gun Systems provides multiple ways to search and gather data. The customer database is user-friendly and the tech support is exceptional which eventually contributes a lot to our positive experience with Rapid.

Cons

The software has some bugs and you need to follow specific processes to avoid errors or system lockup. It is not as seamless as it could be. I believe that making minor program changes would significantly improve the software.

Pros

What I love the most about the software is its simplicity and easiness. There is no need to navigate through different sections as everything is organized from start to finish. The customer service is excellent and Rapid Gun System has a well-rounded team!

Cons

If I have to mention a con, it would be the price. However, considering the value it provides, it is definitely worth it!

Rapid Gun Systems has streamlined every aspect of inventory management. I love having a true electronic bound book that makes searching for serial/part numbers quite easy.

Cons

Dealing with support on the west coast while being on the east coast can be challenging at times. We have experienced downtime until noon or later due to the time zone differences during some updates.

The electronic bound book and gunsmithing modules have greatly increased our back-office efficiency.

Cons

Rapid Gun Systems software itself is excellent. However, I feel that we didn't receive sufficient instruction on its complete use. As a result, I occasionally need to contact the help desk for guidance on tasks that I should have known how to do and for this you have to pay extra fee.

Rapid Gun Systems is very simple and easy to learn. It offers numerous options and categories, which enhances its usefulness to next level.

Cons

Unfortunately, this software lacks the option to make "simple corrections" like modifying item quantity or last cost. Once these selections are made and saved, there is no way to change them if an error occurs. Consequently, we have many items labeled as "DO NOT USE" in our system.

There are plenty of features I like but I particularly love the feature as it allows me to generate accurate reports. Furthermore it is easy to use and the customer support is amazing.

Cons

I am very much impressed with that fact that we were able to teach all our employees to use the system without putting extra effort. Even our older employees, who in the beginning disliked computers, have come to enjoy using it. I also like that the system has a user-friendly interface with large letters and bright colors.

Cons

I find it frustrating when customers experience delays when sliding their credit cards, as the delay varies from day to day.

Pros

While the software is relatively easy to use, the transition took longer than expected. However, the training provided was thorough, and the customer support has been excellent. Nell has been a great mentor throughout the process.

Cons

The "workaround" for NFA items is disappointing. We have to put the item on layaway, and since Texas requires sales tax to be paid upon collection, the workaround becomes cumbersome and prone to errors. I wish the system provided better support for NFA items.

The software is clunky and awkward. Some actions take more steps than necessary and difficult.
Pros

I believe this software has the potential to offer much more than it currently does. If the development and building process were more efficient, the program would be an even greater asset.

Cons

Many actions are unnecessarily complicated which eventually makes the software less user-friendly compared to other programs. It takes our team a long time to find solutions within the software. We are still missing crucial components, such as the membership portal which are essential for running our business.

Pros

Initially, I was drawn to the software's appealing layout and color scheme. The quote function was a nice addition, and I found the customer history functions helpful. While the customer service was friendly and supportive, it was sometimes challenging to reach them during certain times.

Cons

Occasionally, it was challenging to navigate and find what I was looking for. I had to open too many screens to access something that should have been simpler. Additionally, I had to log in multiple times.

Great System Overall!
Pros

The system keeps my A&D book organized and handles layaway, special orders, gunsmithing, and shipping. Interacting with the ATF is a smooth process, thanks to this software. I must mention that the customer service is exceptional. I pay the monthly service fee, and they promptly resolve any issues I encounter.

Cons

The learning curve is steep, requiring 10-20 hours of classes to fully grasp the system. However, once it "clicks," it becomes second nature to navigate.

Rapid is a good system for Firearms sales and does a nice job of managing customers and inventory.
Pros

While the e4473 is a good feature, it's an additional add-on. Mainly I like the DL scan feature and the inventory module, although I wish it had more power. Still, inventory management is good and relatively easy to use. Also the ability to include required fields is a plus. One of the standout features is the multi-gun email notification when extra forms are needed for a purchase. The fact that it fills out the forms for you makes it even better. The touch screen works well and is simple to edit and customize.

Cons

The NCR POS screen size is too small, limiting the number of buttons that can be displayed. I believe features like editing price tags and labels should be included with the software, rather than being add-ons. Considering the price, optional features such as the advanced inventory module and QuickBooks integration should be included. The training could be improved, and as a buyer of the software and hardware, I believe I should have complete access to my SQL database, but unfortunately, that's not the case. The ability to customize should be available to end users without requiring support charges, such as adding simple MSRP to price tags or enabling the printing of counter tags. There have been instances where support took longer to address errors, and they sometimes fix issues without confirming or verifying the resolution, resulting in reopened tickets. The cost of adding an extra license is excessively expensive, and upgrades should be included in support. If we own the e4473 and pay for support, we shouldn't be charged when ATF forms change, as we already pay a hosting fee for the e4473 and support.

Pros

Rapid Gun Systems handles our firearms bound book, generates sales and tax reports, customizes the POS screen, and stores customer information.

Cons

Certain actions can only be performed on the POS screen and not in the office, like buybacks. The system goes into sleep mode, requiring logins on office terminals or the use of user ID swipe cards solely on the POS terminal. It would be beneficial to have the option to extend the time before sleep mode activates. Obtaining simple inventory reports should be easier, and item entries should include manufacturer information, not just the vendor, to streamline reporting.

It's challenging when tech support is located in California, as it takes 1-3 hours to receive a call back when I have an emergency at 9 AM EST.

The ease of use for gun sales makes this software a no-brainer for any FFL. It has simplified our tasks from receiving all the way to disposition.

Cons

It would be great to have a more user-friendly GUI to assist our less tech-savvy users who prefer a simpler interface.
