“Unjustified rising costs!”
Pros
I think the system is fairly user friendly and can feel reasonably simple to work with. Support is also decent every now and then.
Cons
There was a 40% price hike in 2022 and now another 30% increase in 2024. At some point it just stops feeling worth it.

“Effortless setup, scheduling and reporting”
Pros
After using Silverware for the last 3 years in our hotel restaurant and bars, I can say that it's been a very user-friendly system for both the front of house team and the back end. Setting up buttons, managing schedules and pulling reports is effortless. Support was fast and responsive whenever needed although I was able to troubleshoot most problems on my own. The rollout and training process went very smoothly. By the time we did the second implementation, I could handle nearly everything myself.
Cons
The integrations can get expensive and a few of them have been a bit glitchy. Other than that most of the issues we ran into were simple to fix.

“directly improved our margins”
Pros
The reporting tools are excellent and have really helped increase profits.
Cons
Tech support is priced in half-hour blocks. In my opinion that's quite expensive for simple fixes.

“remote admin saves time across properties”
Pros
Managing and updating the system remotely across multiple locations has been incredibly convenient especially when keeping track of sites around the world.
Cons
A couple of drawbacks are the reliance on an internet connection and the fact that checks can't be merged back together once they've been split.

“Frustrating to operate”
Pros
My experience was wholly unpleasant.
Cons
Customer service was basically nonexistent. Using the system was unbelievably difficult and even simple screen changes felt like a struggle.

“User-friendly POS”
Pros
Using Silverware has been a really positive experience because the POS is very user-friendly and simple to move around in. It gives admins a fast way to add or remove items which saves time. We also get a lot of value from features like the time clock and recipe tools. On top of that, I've noticed Silverware being used in several other local businesses which says a lot about its reliability.
Cons
The back office side hasn't been especially useful for our needs. Most of our back office work still gets handled directly from the main terminal.

“data insights lack depth”
Pros
The front end is very simple to use so getting around the system doesn't take much effort.
Cons
It falls short when it comes to providing analytics or data that I can actually work with.

“stable platform with consistent data output”
Pros
There are a lot of reporting options available. Most importantly though Silverware has been extremely stable and dependable.
Cons
Bringing up old orders and deleting them feels a bit inefficient.

“Easier backend than most POS systems”
Pros
It's simple to use, quick to train my staff on and offers a lot of useful functions for splitting bills and handling different types of service. The back office is also much more user friendly than most other POS systems I've worked with.
Cons
Customer service needs some serious improvement. The support team can be helpful at times but the experience is inconsistent and it's almost impossible to reach the same person again if you need to call back. I end up explaining the same issue over and over. It's incredibly frustrating. We've also looked at expanding into Reservations but even when we're trying to spend more with them, the sales team has been terrible about following up.
