“Worst customer support”
Pros
talech is relatively simple to use, and it serves us well in our fast-service environment.
Cons
The support I received was absolutely terrible. Despite their claim of offering 24/7 support, every time I called, I was informed that it would take 48 hours to resolve the issue. Anything that occurred after hours was basically ignored. Even a simple task like opening a seasonal store resulted in hours of being passed around without a solution. When I requested support for menu cloning between locations, it ended up completely messing up the menu. To make matters worse, I was informed that nobody could fix it until Monday, leaving me completely offline for the entire weekend. This kind of delay is unacceptable when it comes to a POS system. It should work immediately, not after waiting for 48 hours.

“Do not recommend”
Pros
We required a secure method to process credit cards via mobile for an outdoor event. Talech provided a solution that allowed multiple users to sign in with their own accounts while being linked to the main admin account.
Cons
The usability of the system was not great. We encountered difficulties with our logins (although customer service was fantastic in helping us resolve this). While the mobile card reader worked reasonably well, there were delays in connecting when switching between different users' phones.

“be aware of the billing department”
Pros
I really like the ease of use and the range of features offered by the software. Additionally, there is no need to switch credit card processing services.
Cons
The integration of credit cards often led to double charges when processing payments online.

“WORST PIECE OF TECH AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED”
Pros
I urge you to save yourself from the trouble and avoid purchasing Talech or Poynt for your POS system. I have never experienced such incompetence and difficulties with a system and its customer service in my entire life. One day, the system works, and the next day it's broken. Initially, I was able to easily refund my customers for the first couple of months, but now the system doesn't allow me to do so. Every day, when I encounter a major problem, I call customer service and get the same agent who has no clue what he's talking about. They put me on hold for hours to search on Google for something I've already tried to look up on my own. I know more about the system than the company itself. Furthermore, when I received the system, my representative promised me a barcode scanner, cash drawer, barcode printer, and more. However, I received nothing except a tiny, useless screen. They continue to charge me for a "bundle package" that doesn't even exist. I can't emphasize enough how terrible this system is and how equally bad the customer service is. For the sake of your sanity, do not purchase it!
Cons
There seems to be a new issue on the back end every day, and when I contact customer service for help, they are unable to assist me. Instead of finding a solution, they simply attribute it to a glitch in my system and claim there is nothing they can do.

“We don't have a record of you calling...”
Pros
Right from the beginning, it seemed like it would be easy to use and everything would connect smoothly, and indeed, it did initially.
Cons
One major frustration is that the card readers frequently break down, which can quickly ruin your day. If you need to issue a refund to a customer, it becomes impossible unless the card reader is functioning properly. The Bluetooth connection frequently drops, and there doesn't seem to be any solution other than replacing the device.

“No accurate calculations”
Pros
Learning it is easy, and the setup is user-friendly.
Cons
When something goes wrong, it can take an incredibly long time for Talech to fix the issue, sometimes even a year or more.

“Stay Away”
Pros
The interface is quite user-friendly. Although tech support is available, they are mostly unhelpful.
Cons
My experience with Talech over the course of 4 years has been absolutely terrible. One of the major issues is the frequent breakdown of their card readers. It's a constant cycle of purchasing a new one, which only works for a couple of weeks before needing to be replaced again. We also encountered problems with charges, and they admitted that their software was faulty. The worst part was discovering that thousands of dollars were not deposited into our account due to their 'bug'. We stumbled upon this issue by accident. If you're looking for a reliable and secure merchant provider, I strongly advise staying away from Talech.

“Very stressful.”
Pros
I chose this software because it integrates sales and inventory tracking. When it functions properly, it is brilliant. Unfortunately, it fails regularly.
Cons
I have been using this system for about a year now, and it has been a constant struggle. I've spent approximately 16 to 18 hours troubleshooting on the phone with their support team, in addition to countless hours trying to figure things out on my own when it fails. It has a tendency to suddenly stop accepting credit card payments, and even with the assistance of their support, we've never been able to process a return. There are also issues with the cash drawer not opening or receipts not printing. We find ourselves constantly rebooting the machine, turning things on and off, disconnecting and reconnecting, and after multiple attempts, it sometimes starts working. We have documented different methods to make it function, but it's frustrating to spend so much time just trying to keep the system operational. Talech has really let me down as a client. While their support technicians are doing their best, they don't have much to work with. I've had to send numerous customers to the bank machine or ask them to come back and pay later, which is not feasible for a small business like ours. Some people never return. I've been trying for a whole week to speak with a higher-level representative from the company to find a solution or consider switching to another company, but they don't seem to make any real effort to get in touch with me. Despite providing my direct phone number, I haven't received a call back. Proceed with caution when dealing with Talech.
