“Reporting reliability needs work”
Pros
The publishing and scheduling tools were a highlight especially being able to separate dark posts, accounts and publishing status. The labelling feature also helped keep our content clearly organized and easy to tell apart. I really liked the idea behind the social listening side of the platform and I'm interested to see how it develops over time. On top of that, our customer success agent was fantastic! I felt genuinely heard, understood and well supported by her throughout the experience.
Cons
Reporting was the biggest frustration. When we compared data coming through Brandwatch with the numbers pulled directly from the native platforms, the figures didn't line up which made the platform hard to trust. Connecting channels was also outdated and having to repeatedly refresh and stabilize those connections was not very user friendly. On top of that some of our more complicated problems were not handled efficiently by the online customer service team and a few of those issues ended up dragging on for weeks.

“strong support, weak listening”
Pros
Really shines when it comes to its publishing and benchmarking tools! They're well organized, easy to use and generally feel polished. Another big plus has been the support from our account manager and the customer service team, who have been consistently responsive and helpful whenever questions come up or we need answers quickly.
Cons
On the downside, their product roadmap seemed to fall behind other platforms pretty often. We also ran into recurring data accuracy issues because of restrictive API limitations. On top of that, the listening module wasn't very accessible to use and didn't provide the level of detail we were looking for.

“powerful analytics”
Pros
This platform stood out to me for its security, analytics and reporting tools, plus the broad data coverage and the ability to customize reports exactly the way I needed.
Cons
Part that was less enjoyable was dealing with bugs and occasional issues. Earlier in the year, I ran into some problems when uploading data to the platform and after dashboard layout updates, things felt a little unstable at first.

“All ine one!”
Pros
Having analytics and reporting together in one platform makes this solution genuinely simple to work with. Keeping everything in a single place saves a lot of time and gets rid of the annoyance of switching between different tools, it just does the job well!
Cons
If there's one drawback to mention, it's the price. The software is definitely positioned at the premium end of the market and that can make it tough for smaller teams or organisations working with tighter budgets. Even so, I wouldn't say the cost is unfair: the platform delivers on what it promises.

“Helpful support”
Pros
Gave me access to a huge amount of data which I really appreciated. The downloadable graphs were easy to use and made my research much more manageable. Whenever I ran into any issues, the customer support team was very responsive and helpful.
Cons
Honestly there wasn't much to dislike about it. If I had to point out one thing, it would be that I wish some searches included data that went further back in time.

“Has been useful to us”
Pros
One thing that's been especially useful is the reporting feature and the label system really helps turn the data into something meaningful. The approval workflow also fits our team well since one person can review everything and publish it efficiently.
Cons
A couple of things still feel missing: there's no way to require alt text when scheduling a post and LinkedIn sentiment doesn't get included when exporting Engage reports.

“I liked the benchmarking feature”
Pros
It's benchmarking feature was really useful for competitor analysis since the data was clear and simple to interpret. I also had a good experience with the publishing tool because it was easy and very user friendly.
Cons
The social media reporting in Measure was a bit frustrating to work with because there were limits on what could actually be reported there compared with what was available directly in the platform.

“Offers a lot of flexibility”
Pros
What really works well with this tool is how much data it can process while still delivering solid analysis. The dashboards are genuinely useful, support tends to reply quickly and the overall cost-benefit has been very positive for us. I also value that it follows data protection standards like LGPD which adds a strong sense of security and has even helped us move deals forward and get them closed. On top of that, it offers fast AI-driven insights and enough flexibility to support work across different clients.
Cons
There's still some friction when handling more complex analyses and in certain situations we have to step in with manual adjustments. Coverage is also a bit limited for some data sources.

“Efficient dashboad”
Pros
Getting a usable dashboard up and running was fairly quick thanks to the template library. Brandwatch comes with a strong selection of prebuilt components so it was easy to start visualizing data without having to build everything from scratch. There are plenty of chart types and layout options and in most cases we were able to find a component that matched the research question we were trying to answer. The Categories feature stood out as especially helpful since it turned a messy mix of conversation topics into clearly organized segments we could actually analyze. On a project covering five separate conversation areas across three species, that feature alone saved us a lot of time and created a level of structure that would have been extremely hard to replicate manually. Iris, Brandwatch's AI summarization tool, also came in handy when dealing with large volumes of mentions. It helped surface major themes quickly from bulk data which sped up the analysis stage and gave us a useful starting point for more detailed qualitative review.
Cons
Although the dashboard templates are strong overall, they can feel limiting in certain situations. One example came up when we tried to create a US state-level heat map. The dataset already included both city and state information but the map component only provided a global view and offered no way to zoom in or lock the display to a single country. We ended up building that visualization outside the platform which created extra work that could have been avoided. Giving users the ability to define a default geographic scope for maps or adding region-specific map options, would be a practical fix. Iris is helpful but it does repeat itself. When working across larger datasets, it often referenced the same mention to support several different insights which made it feel less like a precise analytical tool and more like a system identifying patterns just to generate output. It would be much stronger with better deduplication and clearer visibility into how many unique mentions are actually contributing to each summary. Another recurring frustration on the UI side was working with smaller or less prominent points on line charts. The hover tooltip often blocks the exact point you are trying to select which makes it harder to drill into quieter parts of a time series even though those periods can be just as important analytically as the obvious spikes. A click-to-pin tooltip or a scrollable mentions panel that opens from any chart point would make this much easier to use.

“smart themes and narratives”
Pros
The AI-generated themes and narratives for mentions are a real highlight. They do a really good job of sorting mentions from a given period into clear, distinct categories which makes everything much easier to review and understand.
Cons
The reporting period settings could be more flexible. There are times when I want to analyze a very specific date range and the platform doesn't allow that.

“good for broader monitoring”
Pros
Coverage is strong across social media, news and forums which makes it really useful for broader monitoring. The query builder is flexible, the dashboards can be customized to different needs and the historical data is especially valuable. Reporting and export tools also do a solid job when it comes to sharing insights with other teams.
Cons
AI side feels like it's lacking especially compared with where the market seems to be going. The software still depends quite a bit on manual setup and analysis and the sentiment analysis can be hit or miss particularly with non-English content.

“Much to appreciate!”
Pros
There's a lot to appreciate in the range of graphs I can create, along with how flexible and customizable the platform is. On top of that, the depth and completeness of the data it provides is really impressive.
Cons
Sentiment analysis falls short. I've been told they're working on improving it but I haven't seen any real signs of a fix yet. That feels especially strange since it seems like adding an LLM would be a pretty direct way to address it especially with Iris already built into the platform.

“stands out”
Pros
Reporting and posting are where it really shines! Having all social media performance in one place with clear dashboards makes it simple to follow engagement, reach and overall results without having to pull the data manually. The reporting is also highly customizable so putting together useful insights for your team or stakeholders can be done quickly.
Cons
A couple of drawbacks come up with this tool. Social media channels sometimes disconnect which can disrupt posting or interfere with data collection. On top of that organizing reports into folders by event or stakeholder isn't very easy which makes managing everything at scale more difficult.

“Social listening insights”
Pros
It's biggest strength for me was how deep and flexible its social listening is. It gives a very broad view of conversations happening across different platforms which helps a lot with tracking brand sentiment, spotting emerging trends and understanding audience behaviour in real time. The custom query and dashboard options are especially valuable because they let you shape the insights around specific campaigns or reporting requirements. I also thought the visualisation features were helpful for turning complex data into something clear and engaging especially when presenting to stakeholders who are less comfortable with data. All in all, it feels like a effective all in one platform for understanding digital conversations at scale.
Cons
Getting started can be quite intimidating because the platform feels complex and, at times, overwhelming for new users. There is definitely a steep learning curve especially when you are trying to build precise queries and remove irrelevant results. Without solid onboarding or enough hands-on experience, it is pretty easy to overlook important insights or read the data the wrong way. On top of that, the platform can bring back a lot of noise so you often have to spend extra time manually refining results before they become genuinely useful. Performance is not always consistent either and working with larger datasets can sometimes lead to slower load times. Although it is a powerful tool, using it well takes a noticeable investment of time.

“Valuable segmentation features”
Pros
Right away, the software feels fairly easy to work with and the segmentation features are something I really value. Applying segments across dashboards is simple and being able to view them directly in widgets makes it much easier to compare different topics. That's been especially useful when monitoring potential crises. Sharing dashboards with internal teams and clients is also pretty smooth and it has become the default tool for sharing internally because the dashboards are clear and easy for others to navigate.
Cons
On the downside, the interface feels like it could use a refresh and I do run into loading issues from time to time especially with live dashboard links. For deeper topic analysis and more advanced monitoring, I still tend to prefer other platforms.

“monitoring across channels”
Pros
The range of sources it covers is impressive and it does a really solid job of tracking multiple channels and topics at once which leads to relevant and genuinely useful insights.
Cons

“love the customization”
Pros
The UI feels very easy to work with and it only takes a few clicks to really break the data down in detail. There's also a lot of flexibility in how you can customize each query, whether that's through dashboards, tags, custom data or the platform's other customization features.
Cons
Where it falls short is platform coverage. Broader access to Instagram beyond just public posts or individual pages would be a big help especially as more social conversation moves away from X after the platform's recent changes. Adding TikTok support as well would put this tool far ahead of the competition.

Pros
Offers plenty of customization which makes it a very flexible platform for all kinds of use cases. On top of that, our customer service rep has consistently been responsive and ready to help whenever issues come up.

“Everything in one place”
Pros
One of the best parts of using this tool was how much time it cut out of tracking online conversations. It brings data from different platforms together in a single place which meant I wasn't constantly switching between tools. The dashboards were also really helpful for identifying trends, reviewing sentiment and putting reports together fast. After you get comfortable with it, it turns into a dependable tool for understanding what people are saying about your brand and even your competitors.
Cons
Issue is that it can be a bit overwhelming at the beginning especially if social listening tools are new to you. There's definitely a learning curve with setting up queries and refining them to get the most accurate results. On top of that some reports still need manual tweaks.

“Strong text coverage but awkward UX”
Pros
Does a really solid job covering text-based channels and it helps that they already have the right contracts in place with those sources.
Cons
Using it still feels pretty outdated and not very accessible. A lot of the workflow around queries, dashboards and adding widgets seems more complicated than it needs to be, while the "quick" version is so limited that the time savings rarely feel worth it. Video content coverage is also lacking.
