“All in one lead gen boost!”
Pros
Having this software in my workflow saves me a huge amount of time! I can search for people, review company details and create personalized messages all in one platform instead of jumping between multiple tools. It helps me uncover stronger leads and makes the whole process much more manageable.
Cons
Can be a bit challenging to get started with. There are a lot of features and settings so it can feel confusing in the beginning. Credits also seem to disappear pretty fast and the cost can be a lot for smaller teams. On top of that some of the data is not always completely accurate so I still have to verify things myself.

“powerful outreach personalization”
Pros
Over the past year, this software has become a valuable part of our outbound stack especially when it comes to personalizing email outreach at scale and supporting our company's performance. Being able to create custom workflows and tables without relying on a development team saves us a lot of time. It also integrates very easily and the pricing feels reasonable.
Cons
Took more effort than we expected to get started with since the learning curve is fairly steep. The table formula logic in particular takes a while to fully understand especially for team members who aren't very technical.

“waterfall enrichment boosts coverage”
Pros
Waterfall enrichment has been the biggest win for us. Before using it, we were stuck with a single data provider so if they didn't have an email or phone number, that was simply the end of the road. With Clay, we can line up dozens of providers one after another and it only uses a credit when the previous source turns up nothing. That setup noticeably improved our match rates without increasing spend and we also stopped juggling separate spreadsheets for every individual source.
Cons
The learning curve is steeper than the marketing makes it seem. The spreadsheet-style interface feels familiar at first glance but actually getting meaningful value from it means understanding conditional runs, formulas and the dependencies between columns. It ends up feeling a lot more like lightweight engineering than just working in a spreadsheet. In reality, that usually means one or two people on the team become the ones building and maintaining the tables, while everyone else submits requests to them. That's pretty much the opposite of what you expect when buying a tool like this.

“Good outbound automation”
Pros
Takes a lot of the manual work out of prospecting by helping automate outbound sales workflows and B2B lead enrichment at scale.
Cons
Issue is the usage-based credit system since every data lookup, AI request and automation step uses up credits.

“Perfect for marketing”
Pros
Has made my marketing work much more manageable and lets me handle tasks with a lot less effort.
Cons
There's definitely a steep learning curve when it comes to understanding everything the software can do and figuring out how to apply it effectively in real situations.

“must-have for GTM teams”
Pros
When it comes to GTM and outbound, this feels like one of those tools you really need in your stack. The UI flow is among the best I've seen on the market and the pricing feels thoughtfully aligned with a company's stage and current needs. If you're doing GTM and outbound seriously, this feels essential.
Cons
There are a lot of features and functions packed into it so even if the basics are fairly easy to pick up, it still takes some time to fully understand everything. That said, the academy is well put together and the onboarding process is simple which helps a lot.

“prospecting transformed with clay”
Pros
Since October 2024, our team at Denovers has relied on it to power most of our lead generation workflows. It pulls enrichment, personalized email creation and job discovery into one platform and that has cut down our manual effort in a big way. The ability to connect several data sources and AI-powered actions inside a single workflow saves us a lot of time on repetitive research, letting the team focus much more on outreach strategy. It has truly reshaped the way we handle prospecting.
Cons
Common issues tend to be credit costs when usage scales up, enrichment runs that can be slow from time to time, a learning curve for new team members or limits within certain workflows. Other than that I have no problems.

“Efficient workflows with flexibility”
Pros
It has been especially valuable for building and fine-tuning data enrichment workflows. It gives us plenty of flexibility to test ideas, make adjustments and troubleshoot along the way.
Cons
There is not a lot to complain about. The only real downside is that it comes with a learning curve especially once you begin creating more advanced workflows but that makes sense considering how flexible and capable the platform is.
