Clay AI Features
Claygent Research Agent
Claygent is Clay AI’s built‑in AI research agent that lets teams automate deep, web‑scale prospect research using natural language prompts. Instead of manually scouring websites, LinkedIn, and public resources, users ask Claygent a question, and it returns concise insights about companies or contacts, enriching CRM records with data points like job info, signals, and niche details. This dramatically reduces manual research time and gives sales and GTM teams a richer context for outreach and segmentation.
Sculptor Workflow Builder
Sculptor is Clay’s AI‑enabled GTM co‑pilot that turns natural language prompts into actionable workflows and insights. Users describe their goals, and Sculptor builds tables, recommends enrichments, and helps analyze data faster. This reduces setup time, accelerates execution, and helps teams make smarter decisions without manual tinkering.
Signals Intent Tracking
Clay AI features include Signals, that tracks important changes, such as job moves, promotions, hires, news, and social mentions, related to contacts or target companies, then alert teams when opportunities emerge. This helps sales and marketing act at the right time, prioritize high‑value prospects, and tailor engagement based on real‑world actions.
Audiences Segmentation Engine
Audiences pulls together signals, enrichment, and CRM data into unified segments, so teams see complete buyer journeys and identify high‑intent prospects. Users can segment accounts and contacts based on behavior and context, then push these refined lists back into a CRM for timely, targeted engagement and higher conversion rates.
Sequencer Campaign Automation
Clay’s Sequencer lets teams design and launch personalized email campaigns directly within the platform, using enriched data, intent signals, and AI‑generated copy to deliver the right message at the ideal time. This feature eliminates tool switching and accelerates outreach, ultimately improving campaign reach and conversion.

“All in one lead gen boost!”
Pros
Having this software in my workflow saves me a huge amount of time! I can search for people, review company details and create personalized messages all in one platform instead of jumping between multiple tools. It helps me uncover stronger leads and makes the whole process much more manageable.
Cons
Can be a bit challenging to get started with. There are a lot of features and settings so it can feel confusing in the beginning. Credits also seem to disappear pretty fast and the cost can be a lot for smaller teams. On top of that some of the data is not always completely accurate so I still have to verify things myself.

“powerful outreach personalization”
Pros
Over the past year, this software has become a valuable part of our outbound stack especially when it comes to personalizing email outreach at scale and supporting our company's performance. Being able to create custom workflows and tables without relying on a development team saves us a lot of time. It also integrates very easily and the pricing feels reasonable.
Cons
Took more effort than we expected to get started with since the learning curve is fairly steep. The table formula logic in particular takes a while to fully understand especially for team members who aren't very technical.

“Good outbound automation”
Pros
Takes a lot of the manual work out of prospecting by helping automate outbound sales workflows and B2B lead enrichment at scale.
Cons
Issue is the usage-based credit system since every data lookup, AI request and automation step uses up credits.
