I absolutely love Fathom!!

Pros

The ease this tool brings to my business is incredible. I can quickly provide the recording page to my clients and it makes compiling my 'client notes' so much easier. It has significantly reduced my admin time and clients love the ease of clicking the email to view the part of the recording they want to review. Fathom was recommended to me by my tech assistant, who used it during our first call, and I was thoroughly impressed. She raves about it as well! I'm so grateful to have this tool.

Cons

Occasionally I feel that the recap points are redundant and every once in a while, it misses something I wanted to capture.

It does everything I need, but wish it had a mobile version

Pros

It records and documents everything I need, providing accurate bullet points and makes my work quite easy.

Cons

My only complaint is that there is no mobile app version available.

Great software for note-taking

Pros

The ability to take great meeting notes and use prompts as highlights is a game changer. It's extremely useful for notetaking during meetings.

Cons

Sometimes heavy accents or complicated names don't transcribe with 100% accuracy, but this isn't a deal breaker.

The clearest, most user-friendly and precise notetaker out there!!

Pros

Fathom is incredibly user-friendly and the integration with video conferencing software is seamless. The customizable control over how reports are structured is a great feature. The look, functionality and results are exceptional in my opinion. I also appreciate being able to program it to auto-join so I don't need to remember to add my notetaker. Calendar reminders help me never miss a meeting. Plus, you can launch everything directly from Fathom without opening the video conferencing software. So easy!

Cons

I haven't come across many issues but I would love the ability to rename the meeting before or during it, rather than after the recording is complete. It would be great if I could just click on the mini desktop control widget and change "Impromptu Zoom Meeting" to the actual title or topic. Right now, I have to go into the recording review page afterward to make changes.

Fathom is amazing! The AI summaries with action items are a game-changer

Pros

I love that I don't have to spend time taking notes during meetings. I can easily extract action items from the meeting notes, and I can always revisit the transcript if I need to reference something later.

Cons

I love Fathom but sometimes the Fathom bot doesn't join a meeting or I have to chase one of my team members for their recording. I also wish the Fathom bot didn't take up an entire tile during meetings. Sometimes our team meetings end up with as many Fathom bots as users which can be a bit annoying.

Quick, easy and a great tool for training

Pros

It provides great summaries and action points. I often find myself reading things I missed in the meeting. My favorite use, though, is in training my team and reviewing their presentations. The highlight feature allows me to break down presentations and train with precision.

Cons

AI can struggle with non-standard names and I have one of those. Many of my team members have similar issues as well.

I'm so happy with Fathom.AI

Pros

The accuracy of the note-taking is impressive and I love that I don't have to worry about actionable items.

Cons

It uses US English by default, with no option for AI to write in UK English.

A must-have for Visio users, hands down

Pros

Fathom does a great job of summarizing, prioritizing and making sense of videoconference meetings. You can even see your speaking time live, which reminds you to let others talk. The summaries are precise and well contextualized, starting with a relevant objective and summary if you don't have time to read the entire transcript. It's synchronized with HubSpot, automatically saving meeting notes and creating tasks.

Cons

Areas for improvement: The tasks are in English even though I'm a French speaker and the summaries are in French. Additionally the �your questions� section isn't very relevant, with sentences that don't always match what was said and question assignments that aren't always accurate.

Pros

The full user experience provided meets my needs perfectly, from meeting notes and transcriptions to generating tasks, asking AI questions and noting real-time meeting insights.

Cons

Incredible note taking software

Pros

I appreciate the thoroughness of the notes. It provides an in-depth analysis of the meeting, details follow-up action items and outlines next steps. In my experience, it's more accurate than tools like Fireflies, Spark Mail transcription, Zoom AI, ChatGPT and Otter.

Cons

I dislike that you can't use it on the fly without a virtual meeting. Sometimes I want to use an AI note taker for in person meetings but this tool isn't built for that.

I use it in every meeting for my business because it's superb

Pros

The best part is its ease of use. It automatically loads for my Google Meet meetings and provides concise, accurate summaries and action points, saving me the time of sifting through paper notes later to see if I missed anything.

Cons

Desktop app defaults to Microsoft Edge. It would be more useful if Chrome were set as the default browser.
