Pros

I find it very helpful to easily reference calls that I was unable to attend.

Cons

I feel there is a lack of privacy within the organization since all calls related to the business are stored in one place.

Fantastic sales tool, but quite costly

Pros

It provides valuable insight into the conversations we have with customers and significantly enhances our ability to learn from each other, allowing us to coach one another on how best to assist them.

Cons

The standalone offering is very expensive, especially with the growing number of competitors who offer similar value propositions along with other enterprise systems.

I appreciate receiving real-time emails about the meetings scheduled for the day, confirming that the prospect is present in the meeting, and being able to view the recording along with a transcript immediately after the meeting concludes.

Cons

I have no complaints at all! Gong has been incredibly useful.

My productivity drops by 400% or more

Pros

While it does feature decent AI and offers good call listening capabilities, the positives are heavily outweighed by its drawbacks.

Cons

It is really clunky and difficult to find the information I need. There are separate sections like "conversations" and "engage," but they don't link together. The Chrome extension doesn't work at all, and I can't dial from Salesforce. There's also no text messaging capture. From what I can tell, it's a huge downgrade.

Core tool for effective customer marketing

Pros

I have used Gong in various roles, ranging from Sales to Marketing, and have consistently found it to be incredibly useful. In Sales, I relied on it for call recordings and later used it for training purposes. Now, in Marketing, I record case study calls with clients, and the transcripts generated are incredibly easy to work with. The transcriptions are also far more accurate than those produced by other software.

Cons

It can be glitchy at times. I added the add-on to my Outlook to send a Gong invite with any Zoom invites, but it works only sporadically.

Gong won me over as a fan

Pros

I love how it consolidates all the information about our accounts into one central place, offering various views that help streamline our workflows. It has become one of the most impactful tools in our tech stack for sales, customer success, and product. We've amplified its value by using plugins like Zapier and TranscribeIQ.

Cons

I wish the reporting was more centralized and customizable, but it's still really easy to use. We've had to take some of our analysis outside of Gong to make it more actionable. Overall, the cons are minimal, and they continue to release new features to help us grow with them.

Pros

Gong plays a crucial role in our sales tech stack. We use it for call and demo recordings, sharing recorded calls with prospects, coaching on calls, CRM management, pipeline management, forecasting, and more. What I love most is how it analyzes calls, making it easy to search for specific keywords related to brands. It also provides valuable call metrics that help us track how well my team and I perform during calls and offers suggestions for improvement.

Cons

The search feature doesn't always work well when looking for a specific keyword or account. It either pulls up the wrong results or doesn't return any results at all, forcing me to retype the search.
