“Lots of features, but not all are high quality

Pros

There are a lot of great features available, many of which I did not even know existed before. Also they are definitely aiming big with what they offer.

Cons

Some of the features were not as fine tuned as I expected. I even had an account flagged while using it.

“Strong tool but a bit limited for advanced tasks

Pros

PhantomBuster is my go to when I need to pull standard data quickly. Whether it is Google Maps, LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Yellow Pages, Instagram, Reddit, Twitter/X or YouTube as it handles them all easily. Plus you are not just stuck with CSV files but you can send your data straight to tools like HubSpot or Slack too.

Cons

While it handles the usual apps and websites, if I need data from more unique or unconventional sources I will need a more universal and probably less user friendly tool. Like many no-code platforms it shows its limitations when you step off the beaten path. Plus there is no data enrichment as you have to rely on external credits for that.

“Great for automation, though it's quite expensive

Pros

I mainly used it to automate social media tasks like following and unfollowing on Twitter and Instagram. What I liked the most was how simple it was to set up and how clearly it explained what to do to avoid getting banned.

Cons

The price is definitely a downside. I found it to be really pricey for automation purposes. Also it is tough to make it cost-effective.

The pricing is very much affordable and I find setting up integrations really simple too.

Cons

Well the number of phantoms required for each functionality is a little overwhelming.

“A super easy way to pull data

It provides such a simple way to pull data. Also it is very beginner-friendly and the tutorials are a big help as they allow me to learn a lot.

Cons

I cannot really think of any downsides. I am happy with it as I was able to accomplish exactly what I needed.

“Allows speedy data extraction

Pros

I usually grab data from LinkedIn Sales Navigator using it. Plus it quickly pulls all the details into an Excel file which saves me from manually copying and pasting. Also it offers lots of ways to transform and export your data. Setting up automatic runs is pretty smooth too.

Cons

There is nothing negative to say. This tool is great. I have used other tools before but none compare to this one.

“Fits the need

Pros

What I love is how quickly you can tweak PhantomBuster to fit exactly what you need. Plus the whole setup feels super easy to work with.

Cons

Occasionally there are minor UI glitches like the scrollbar disappearing. Even though it is not a huge issue as usually a quick page refresh fixes this issue for me.

“An amazing tool

Pros

It is pretty simple whether I am using it manually or hooking it up with APIs for more automated workflows.

Cons

Sometimes the URLs change and the bots I develop stop working as a result.

“Stops working after one week

Honestly there was not anything we liked about this tool. It was overpriced and even after four weeks our support tickets still had not been answered.

Cons

None of our Instagram phantoms work anymore. One of our main business Instagram accounts even got blocked and we have not been able to log in for over two weeks. The support team has not responded to our tickets and their service is really disappointing.

“It has made web scraping easy

Pros

It is really flexible. As I can easily deploy my own scripts and fully manage how and when your automations run.

Cons

Combining multiple phantoms is not easy as I expected.

“The top tool for gathering sales info

Pros

The LinkedIn scraper is awesome. It helped me pull almost every email and extra detail I needed to build up my CRM list.

Cons

It can be a bit confusing at first like figuring out what to do and how to use it, but once I get the hang of it, it is pretty user-friendly.

“I am done with this tool

Pros

Setting it up was a simple task but sadly, that also meant I got banned pretty quickly because it was too easy to overdo it.

Cons

Well it is pretty frustrating that the bot violates Instagram's terms and conditions and does not even give a clear disclaimer about the risks. I used it to get a list of followers and Instagram banned me with no chance of recovering my account. I won't use this tool again.

“Essential for any marketing tech stack

Pros

I find it quite simple to use, very beginner friendly and you do not need any coding knowledge at all. Even if you are not technical, you will be fine.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve when setting up the phantoms but once I get the hang of it, it works well.

What I appreciate is that PhantomBuster automated all those repetitive little tasks I used to waste time on every day.

I do not like that it is still missing some features that other alternatives offer like message cadences.

It totally delivers on what it promises. The data extraction is fast and it is way quicker than trying to build a solution myself. Plus it is pretty easy to use.

Cons

Sometimes the data seems a bit off and I am not sure where it is coming from. It could be a mismatch or not properly formatted. And if you want to run multiple threads, you will need to wait or have a bigger budget which can get pretty expensive.

We rely on it daily for different marketing campaigns and it has not let us down yet.

When using it with social media you have got to be careful to stay within the guidelines.

The user interface is nicely designed and the tutorials are quite clear which made jumping into automation a lot less intimidating to me.

I really like how clean the interface is and how much helpful content there is for setup and usage tips. Plus it is a seriously powerful tool once you get the hang of it.

It can be a little confusing at first but I appreciate the effort the content team put into creating step-by-step guides for beginners.

“Excellent for scraping data

Pros

PhantomBuster has basically become one of my main tools for gathering data. Instead of buying expensive lists I now build my own from scratch which takes more time but is way more accurate. Plus I found a lot of value scraping social media and even Yellow Pages.

Cons

No real cons except that you have to be extra careful when extracting data from LinkedIn. Pay attention to their warnings and limitations. You can push the limits if you want but I would recommend staying within the rules.

“Great email extraction tool for targeting sales

Pros

Not only is it easy to use but it also allows me to apply any LinkedIn filters I need. The Zapier integration is a nice bonus too.

Cons

The number of emails you can extract varies by plan which I did not like much. Also the export format of the lists could use some improvement.
