hidden costs!

Pros

Getting started appears easy enough and the product likely delivers on what it promises. I spent about a full day setting everything up and when I finally spoke with a representative, they were genuinely helpful.

Cons

The pricing page is extremely misleading, to the point that it comes across as borderline dishonest. On the site the pricing section clearly shows three tiers at $25, $35 and $50 per user per month, with the features laid out under each one. Beneath that, there's only a small note in parentheses saying + platform fee but nowhere does it explain what that fee actually is. Any reasonable person would assume the total cost might be something like 5 users at $35 per month plus a modest extra charge, maybe $20 or $50 as a platform fee. Instead, the platform fee turns out to be $6,000 per year, which I only learned after wasting an entire day on setup and then scheduling a Zoom meeting with someone for additional help.

Commission breakdown is very clear

Pros

Being able to view my commission broken down in detail is really useful. It helps me quickly spot when something might be off and once it gets fixed, I can clearly see the correction that was made.

Cons

I honestly can't think of any downsides right now. It has everything I need.

custom plans show clear earnings

Pros

QuotaPath works really well with Salesforce and gives us the flexibility to build unique, customizable compensation plans. It's also really helpful that each rep has their own login, so they can clearly see where their earnings are coming from.

Cons

Getting started can take a bit of patience since building the plans at first is somewhat tedious but once everything is set up, it runs very smoothly.

CRM sync helps payout speed

Pros

It is very easy to use and the way it integrates with our CRM has made commission payouts about four times faster than before. Rather than spending time filling out spreadsheets with data, we're now mostly just double-checking everything and paying the team.

Cons

There's a slight learning curve when it comes to understanding how plans and paths work especially when setting them up exactly the way you want and making sure they're presented clearly for the end users like accounting and sales reps.

Support responds fast

Pros

QuotaPath is very user-friendly and the customer service and tech support have been excellent. The team is open to customer feedback and actively builds new functions that really improve the overall experience. I've been really happy with the product.

Cons

It still looks a bit click heavy in places and I'd love to see more automation and some AI-driven features added.

loved the support team

Pros

From plan creation through full setup and beyond their team has been consistently supportive the entire way. Customer service is incredibly responsive, well-informed and always willing to help whenever something comes up. The workflow for monthly commission checks is easy to follow and the reporting features make it simple to analyze sales performance by individual rep. The integrations are useful too and the custom code field mappings are easily one of the standout features for me.

Cons

If you're working with a larger database, refresh times can be a bit slow when trying to see the impact of a new path or plan on deals.

Salesforce visibility works very well

Pros

It integrates well with Salesforce and gives my team a reliable way to stay on top of their earnings and payouts.

Cons

They're always improving the product, which is a positive but it also means there's an ongoing need to keep learning the newer features.

The external reporting solution has room for improvement and could be better.

Commissions management is easy now

Pros

QuotaPath in place has made commission management much more organized for us. We can calculate payouts, keep commission data in order and check due dates all from a single dashboard. Another big plus is the transparent approval workflow, which gives administrators a clear way to review submissions, ask follow-up questions and lets us respond directly so expectations are clear on both sides. The Salesforce integration has also been very helpful because it gives us access to the right data for reporting accurate deals and projected commissions. On top of that the forecasting tools are strong since they let us include opportunities created during a certain period instead of only looking at closed deals.

Cons

Once the initial setup was completed, everything in it became user friendly and we were able to handle operations without any confusion or complications.

Missing reports and plan details

Pros

At this point there really isn't anything about this software that stands out positively for me. If those problems can't be resolved, we'll likely have to start looking for another option.

Cons

This software is missing quite a bit of functionality especially when it comes to handling complex plans. Also it doesn't offer a true reporting capability, which is disappointing and the lack of GAAP reporting is another significant gap.
